Gears of War Reloaded PS5 Gameplay Showcased for the First Time at Xbox Showcase

So weird seeing Gears on a PS website 😂

Here's hoping for a physical release and with it actually on the disc.

what is reloaded. It is only GOW 1?

Man, this is day one for me. I remember playing this on the 360, and I got every achievement — even the 10k kills in multiplayer. I also remember me and my best friend playing all of these games co-op religiously. And this was around the same time Need For Speed Most Wanted was out, and we played that in the downtime.

Microsoft has won the battle but lost the (console) war. I dunno if I’ll play this though. Never had any interest in it when it was on Xbox so I don’t think that’ll change now.

It all depends on the price for me.

Well I guess if Squenix can take 1 game and milk it over 3 games MS can take the first part of a game trilogy and release it stand alone. I really liked the GoW (ha) trilogy when I played the 3 games back-to-back-to-back last gen but playing just the first mow would really bother me, no matter how much better it looked or played.

If and when 2 & release I would play them again.

Really looking forward to this! Always wanted to play Gears Of War but never had an Xbox. I'll be grabbing this on day 1. Also gotta say, it has such RESISTANCE vibes. Just wish Sony would remake / master the RESISTANCE trilogy. I need trophies for Fall Of Man on my profile. LOL

I know is good, I know it won 30 awards but there’s something about this franchise that I don’t like and I dont know what it is. 30$ or less and im sold. More than that hard pass.

I liked it the first time round, but this looks far far worse than I was expecting. It’s showing its age.

@Qu1n0n3z It's clunky to play. The wubba-lubba run's camera is vomit-inducing if you have any inclination towards motion sickness.

It also feels extra clunky after many playthroughs of Vanquish.

@FinneasGH i sadly gotta agree, they should’ve rebuilt the game from scratch in unreal engine 5; the animations are dated to say the least

I was never interested in this series. Lots of people around me played it and loved it. I never got the appeal, still don’t. Just something about the whole art and character design is offputting to me. I’m sure it’s got an amazing story or gameplay or whatever, but it’s just not doing it for me. I dunno, i’m gonna pass

@crackeastwood their software is everywhere and they own some of the biggest studios out there. If they’d have stuck to trying to win console wars they’d not have that. Xbox is the only console that’s never “won” a generation. Owning some of the biggest franchises in gaming is absolutely “winning”.

Day 1 purchase, despite owning on XSX

Didn't see any mention of multiplayer, which is a little disappointing!

@nomither6 I think it is bc I found the setting and characters dull and generic, the same way I feel about Hallo, nothing exciting or appealing to me. I love those type of games but i don’t feel particularly attached or interested about these two biggies.

@LogicStrikesAgain I'm the same with this series and Halo. The only Xbox game I appreciated being ported was the first Alan Wake.

@Qu1n0n3z well when it goes on sale for $30 or less i think you’ll enjoy the story & characters, they make up for the unappealing aesthetics. & you’re right in a sense when it comes to the first game , but damn did they really go all out with the second & third game. it’s a shame they’re only re-doing the first yet again

Seems a bit of a cash grab really. I'll fall for it because its all we've got.

But people are forgetting how short of a game this is. It really should of been a remastered trilogy, like the master chief collection.
