Sony's Huge Days of Play Sale on PS5 Consoles, Games, PS Plus Subs Starts Next Week

My sub runs out June 2nd and i already got an offer to renew my sub with 25% discount. I'll wait till next week to see if i get 30% though.

Probably will get my Pro also, with the extra 5% Plus discount it will be €87,50 off the price.

I set my eyes on the chromapearl controller, hope it will get a good discount.

I hope they confirm good discounts on the subs soon.

Can you still get discounts to stack on future subscriptions if you are currently a subscriber on PS Plus?

Isn't the PS5 base 400 in the US right now, so would they drop it to 300? If so people waiting for gta 6 might just want to buy it.

I was just in Taiwan and picked one up for £160 equivalent (6480 TWD), so if you're going there I'd recommend picking one up.
However only from official Sony shops, stock is extremely low so the independent shops in Taipei main station and Digital Plaza for example hiking the price to nearly 10,000TWD, saying you can only buy one with a couple of games or accessories, not on its own which is really weird sales practice, but I guess it helps move the old stock (such as Forspoken and Gotham Knights that were pushed on me).

Anyway, get one there if you want one and you are going or know someone who is, that's my advice.

Very interesting to see at the same time Microsoft is raising prices significantly Sony is offering pretty good deals, even if temporary or they end up raising prices in a few months it’s very nice to have some discounts right now.

Remember those 5 days of PS Plus they gave us? It was the perfect excuse to leave many people out of the sale days.

Now my subscription ends on the 13th thanks to those 5 days, while the offer ends on the 11th. They couldn't be more pathetic.

Will ps plus sub be discounted for current members or only for new signups?

If it's not for online play, I won't even subscribe at all.

The 5 added days from the PSN outage mean that my PS Plus membership now expires on 12 June, 1 day after this sale is rumoured to end...

The £50 drop on Pro vs £100 on base suggests they just cant drop the Pro's price any further (or they would have done the same 100 off everything) - not really good news for PS6, suggesting lower power / higher price / later release (in any combination), than expected.

Here comes the annual "no, you can't buy another year of the same tier of Plus for cheaper. That would be preposterous!"

They do the best sales especially on hardware Sony, better than the other 2.
I don’t think Xbox did any special deals even for fall last year and new year.

Hope the 30 % off includes PS plus essential and isnt only for upgrading to a higher tier / new customers only.

Let's see if PS Plus discounts are available for existing members, it's really a disgrace that loyal customers aren't allowed to avail of the deal

I bought a PS5 Pro at the start of the month, because everyone was saying it was going to go up in price. Fortunately I still have it sealed, so I'll either get a $50 refund from Target, or return it and re-buy if they won't refund me.

Too bad the disc drive and Dual Sense Edge aren't on discount.

Got my pro in November and my next hardware purchase is switch 2, good times!

Of course no ps plus discounts for already existing members.

I'm clear about it, after what they've done, I'll only subscribe for two months, on August 4th and November 3rd, so I can be sure to have all of this year's PS Plus essential games in my library.

My ps plus sub expired today so good to know to wait! From premium to essential, what a terrible proposition in its current state.

@Shinnok789 it’s scummy but it’s not fraud. It is a discount, just on the new price. Amusing and annoying but not illegal. Sony is many things but with the marathon delay and presumably cancellation I highly doubt they’d be so foolish as to dip their toes in that pond.

I'm hoping to buy Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader on sale (in time to prepare for the upcoming dlc), as well as Baldur's Gate 3 (it was on sale for about 20% in my region a few months ago, hoping it'll be on sale more than that this time around). Crossing my fingers!

My PS+ expires on the 10th June after the 5 days extra, so I am just able to scrap a renewed sub at a discount. Phew!

Hoping for some decent software discounts on AstroBot, TLOU P2, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and a few others.

@Darude84 The pearl controller looks great. Just make sure to wear gloves when playing or those white thumbsticks wont stay white for very long.

I also suggest everyone purchases a warranty when buying a DualSense (or any controller). It's like $10 for an additional two years past Sonys 1 yr warranty. Paying $10 is far better than paying another $80 if your controller gets stick drift within three years.

@Toilet_Goat I'm pretty certain they did all of that on purpose so a large amount of people can't renew for a discount.

@Darude84 I'm in the US so not sure how it is if you live elsewhere. But like if I order on Amazon, Walmart, etc. there is an option to purchase warranty during checkout. Otherwise, a person usually has up to 30 days after purchasing the item to buy a warranty, depending on who the warranty is through,

Keep in mind the item itself does not need to be purchased at Amazon, Walmart, etc. it only needs to be purchased from an authorized retailer/seller. You can also get the warranty in store. At least at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. Don't know about any other locations or about anywhere outside of the US.

How do discounts on hardware work, assume it’s only through the official Sony PS store, or how does it filter down into something like Amazon where it’s already cheaper anyway.

My PS Plus Essential subscription ran out a month or so ago and I was waiting for a deal to purchase another 12 months. Good timing, as this will be the perfect opportunity for it.

@FinneasGH larger stores normally have similar discounts too during days of play. I'm in the UK, and normally check out Argos during it, which a lot of others apparently do too as lots of it is usually sold out.
