Blue Prince, which I’m liking, but doesn’t seem to be for everyone Thank Goodness Your Here Just Crow Things Days Gone Animal Well Pacific Drive Oblivion on PC or PS5 if that’s not a complete fantasy
Just finished System Shock remake which was fantastic, so felt like playing it in 1994
Might get a bit of Elden Ring or Demons Souls in too
I may or may not leave the house. That is, as yet, undecided
Im totally up for the Talos Principal remake. The dlc for Talos Principal 2 made me feel dumber than a bag of spanners, much like Gehenna, but the main games are great. Perfect excuse to platinum it again!
Finished off my NG+ of Jedi Survivor (which did feel a bit empty), but im having fun diving back in to the Olympia Peninsula with Pacific Drive which plays really well on the Pro.
The last game i got on Switch was TotK, and its been sat their gathering dust since, i only ever use it if theres a power cut.
I might be tempted if it vastly improves the framerate for Echoes of Wisdom. Ive pretty much forgotten about nintendo since they dropped the virtual store
Jedi Survivor which is still looking fantastic on the pro. Getting close to finishing System Shock, which I thought was going to be a 20 hour game, but I’m at 60 plus hours, and a special shout out to Thank Goodness You Here, which I though was going to be cutesy, but just throws weirdness after weirdness at you (the Meat section, and the Brigadier! What the what, now?!?)
Also just watched Zardoz for the first time in decades. I wasn’t expecting much from Sean Connery as Borat, but that’s a pretty good film after a few beers.
I’m replaying Jedi Survivor which looks fantastic on the Pro, buttery smooth. The replay does feel a bit empty though since I’d collected everything the previous time through. Still fun though.
I’ve also got Thank Goodness You Hear and Just Crow Things which also looks fun.
Fez is still awesome (whatever you think of a certain individual attached to it). I’m getting Thank Goodness Your Here as soon as I’ve finished System Shock. Just Crow Things looks really cool too. I’d highly recommend Animal Well too (and Lorelei and the Laser Eyes if you like hardcore puzzles)
For me, games at this level mean not having to sit through hours of dialogue or cutscenes. They cut to the chase and let you just play the game!
Im wrapping up dead space and trying to get the alternative ending. I need to do the King Ralf fight in Ragnarok too to grab the plat. Still loving System Shock too, such a great remake! Edit: Woo! Got the Ragnarok plat and finished Dead Space, next stop Jedi Survivor
I’m one trophy of platinum in the original (get gold on 5 challenges). Driving me nuts. Deffo getting PWS2 even if it doesn’t have PSVR2 support (but that would be sooo good)
Super, can i skip every single Oblivion gate please! I remember doing 90% of them in end game on a Sunday afternoon and it was a death march. Fantastic game though, just not a fan of the gates. Id love to see a Morrowind remaster. Those Ashlanders!
I loved the Low Roar music in DC1, for me 90% was where in the game it was placed. I think Patience kicked in when you were going over a hill into a new area. Really looking forward finding out how this track fits into the game. Edit: Wow, I had no idea Ryan from Low Roar had passed, 40’s way too young
The game world from DS1 was amazing. I was not really a fan of running around tiny levels after Mads Micklesen, but wow i loved that game world. It reminded me of an old Atari ST game called Midwinter. Im totally up for this plus ive got two weeks off close to the release so i know what im doing this summer
Finishing up Ragnarok, im not far off a platinum, which is nice. Still loving the System Shock remake. Hopefully ill get a bit of Dead Space too if I finish Ragnarok.
I read this and thought, is this backwards compatibility for the PS5!?! 😂. I keep threatening to play Puppeteer again, but I’ve got to a hard bit. It’s still hooked up, just not plugged into the TV at the moment (so just power)
These and FF7 were my introduction to JRPGs back in 97. I’ve still got the disks (the black PS1 disk). I remember getting it from the bargain bin in Electronics Boutique one Saturday. So many feels!
@Dalamar i was really salty on it until about chapter 6. Ive been more into it since then, but i also turned the difficult right down because i didnt get on with combat (really short combat range and enemies flitting around like theyre on speed). The fire hose of systems introduced at the start didnt help either, im only just starting to feel likei understand them 50 hours in!)
@PeaceSalad youve got my sympathies buddy, i had an ear infection over christmas and it took a month to clear up Otex drops are good (dont get them mixed up with eye drops though😂). Also, dont be tempted to shove anything up there, mine ended up bleeding which wasnt fun!
Still playing through GOW Ragnarok which feels absolutely massive now (although I did have a bug with a cage not raising because I was in performance mode which is pretty unforgivable a year later).
Also getting some more System Shock remake in, which is a lot tougher than I remember!
@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy just had a look, I’ve got about 120 hours in Arizona Sunshine, and about 200 in GT7 (on top of about 500 before I got it), and a handful in Moss. For me, it’s almost like a steering wheel, I’ll probably only use it on a couple of games (I didn’t really get on with RE VR). It’s also not the kind of thing I’d want to play all day, I top out at about 2 hours. I was my first experience of VR, so I was willing to roll the dice and glad I did, but absolutely, your mileage may vary
Now if we’re talking 3DO, how about Might & Magic 7 - 9. So much jank! . I always remember there was a guy you could talk to if you’d lost a quest breaking item and you could say “I’ve lost it”, to which he’d reply “You never had it”. So profound, so true
Ive had mine for about 9 months and still play a couple times a week, mostly GT7 (i couldnt play it in 2D again, VR is literally a game changer) and Arizona Sunshine 1/2 with a lot of horde mode. I need to finish off Moss 1/2 aswell.
No regrets here (i got it in one of the first price reductions for about £450)
I really want to find some time for Thank Goodness You’re Here, but i also want to support them at full price. Deaths Door is a fantastic game too, lots of good stuff on that list
@DonkeyFantasy i always forget about the difficulty mode. Thanks! I hadnt made so many changes since GT3! 😂 Toe-in to get round corners faster, custom gear map, removed all the down force! Ill give that a try tomorrow
After moaning about it last week, I’ve suddenly clicked with GOW Ragnarok, it seems to open up a lot after chapter 6. Loving System Shock remake too and I finally platinumed Subnautica (cannot wait for the next one).
Loved AOE2, my Japanese lads would sort anyone out in a hail of arrows. I would have thought this would be a nightmare using a control, but it sounds okay (I’d still like a demo). If it had mouse/keyboard support that would be awesome. I’ve tried mouse/keyboard using a usb hub and it works fine, but I’ve not seen anything that supports mouse aiming yet
@Sveakungen I did try it on the pro a month or two ago, and it did seem a bit better. I really need to replay it, such a great game, really reminded me of STALKER

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 576
Ive been playing Talos Principal Reawakened most of the afternoon, its a great game, but that frame rate/pacing is a bit rough. Hope they sort that!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 576
@somnambulance hope you feel better, video games can be great for taking your mind off feeling lousy. Okay, maybe not Doom 2016 or Outlast…
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 576
I’ve got two weeks off and tonnes lined up:
Thank Goodness Your Here
Just Crow Things
Days Gone
Animal Well
Pacific Drive
Oblivion on PC or PS5 if that’s not a complete fantasy
Just finished System Shock remake which was fantastic, so felt like playing it in 1994
Might get a bit of Elden Ring or Demons Souls in too

Have a great weekend folks!
Re: Mini Review: Blue Prince (PS5) - A Deceptively Deep Puzzler That Delights and Confounds
@Quintumply thanks for the review Stephen. Seriously, this what keeps me coming back to the site.
As someone who adored Lorelei and the Laser Eyes this sounds right up my alley! Id not even heard about this, downloading now
Re: Talking Point: What Do We Actually Want from the Oblivion Remake?
If its not out by tomorrow, im playing the original on pc, im getting serious Oblivion blue-danglies
Edit: Just installing it from disk, and there was an advert for “Oblivion for. Mobiles!” and a picture of a flip phone! 😂
Re: Horde Assault Show Off Days Gone PS5 Remaster at Its Very Best
I wished it was out this week, I’ve got two weeks off from next week and I’d gladly spent all of it playing this
Re: These 11+ New PS5, PS4 Games Are Coming Out This Week (7th-13th April)

Re: Days Gone PS5 Will Tempt You Back to the Broken Road with All-New Trophies
@Weebleman Same! I was going to play it again over the easter break anyway
Re: Bloodborne Fans Wait with Bated Breath as Iconic PS4 Exclusive Turns 10 Today
I actually just tried it on the Pro, and it still looks like a slide show. Not sure if its frame rate or frame pacing. But, nope, hurts my eyes now
Re: Bloodborne Fans Wait with Bated Breath as Iconic PS4 Exclusive Turns 10 Today
I just had the Simpsons “Stop! He’s dead already!” popped into my head…

@nomither6 id forgotten about that. My old PS3 had the YLOD so ive got a slim
Re: This PS1 Logo Stand Plays the Console's Iconic Startup Sound, and Now We Want One
It looks more like the plastic logo on the PS2 that you could swivel, the PS1 logo was just a sticker (I’ve just checked ;D).
Re: These 9+ New PS5, PS4 Games Are Coming Out Next Week (17th-23rd March)
Just Crow Things looks adorbs. I hear its only 4 hours long but I think ill give it a shot

Re: Talking Point: Is PSVR2 Worth Buying In 2025?
