Developer Bend Studio hasn't cast out Days Gone Remastered to the Freakers and called it a day — it's been making steady improvements to the game with a series of updates, and the latest of these is now available.
You can download and install patch version 1.030.000 on PS5 right now, adding yet more fixes and improvements to the open world action title.
It's a more minor update than the last one, with only a few points to note. However, it sounds like it fixes a particularly nasty bug, one that blocks progression in a certain mission.

This patch address that issue, and also makes stability improvements and fixes some crashes.
Here are the official notes from Bend:
Graphics
- Fixed a streaming issue that could occur during the mission We Make This World What It Is at the end of the Story.
- Dev note: Players who were affected by this blocker can now progress to complete the mission.
Performance
- Stability and crash fixes.
So, not a major operation this time, but at least the studio is supporting the remaster and improving it for players.

Nice support by Bend
Bend should do another open world game. They got the sauce. Not sure about zombies but wouldn't be mad at it
I wish they would make a sequel to this game. Such a shame it didn’t get more love
I played it a second time with the Remaster, something I never do with a game. Such a cruelly underrated game. It has so much to it in all its mechanisms and story. Feel the critics really cratered this game. It certainly had bugs at the start, but did not feel they had anymore than any other open world game (Valhalla enters chat). Loved the second playthrough as much or more than the first. Just too bad as we may have gotten a sequel. The hordes was one of the coolest and most frightening concepts in a game. If you haven't tried the new Horde Assault mode, it is definitely worth it even if brutally difficult on higher levels.
I'm replaying through at the moment, but I wished they'd patch out having to hold down a button to do something, rather than just a click. It is a great game though.
Yeah nice support but they had to do it. The amount of gamebreaking bugs was CRAZY. I was relieved when I saw the credits, all the old bugs are still there.
Aww man love this game, playing through it atm for the first time. I only got back on PS when the Pro released so didn't play it the first time round. This is my favourite PS exclusive by far, to be fair i've not played them all yet but this is a grand game, love it, ticks all my SP boxes (well most). It's better than any game i've played on my Xbox in the last couple of years at least. They should absolutely make a sequel.
Have they fixed the autopopping not working?
@Americansamurai1 That was fixed awhile back. Only thing I didn't like was the way too slow walking during (non-cut) chat scenes. Wish they'd have speeded that up.
I’m playing the ‘normal’ version on PS5. It is almost flaweless. This game is awesomef
@Jammer I tried to get the auto pop a couple weeks ago, has It been since than?
Wish the remastered version would get a physical release…
@Jettstyles 100% .I fancied another play through so I bought the remaster, but I wasn't 100% sure I'd actually be into doing it all again. Shouldn't have worried, I had a blast - the gameplay is so satisfying and the visuals felt even better now - it's seriously beautiful at times. It still has its unique foibles, but that game engine and world definitely deserved another outing.
@DrVenture69 Check the accessibility menus - they do have options for at least some things to be button presses instead of holds.
Enjoying the remaster immensely. Loved this game since it's released. I know there are better games in terms of game play, but there is something in the story that grabs you and makes you keep coming back! . Horde challenge was a blast. Stuck on Permadeath play through though. Game won't load "I tried to hit that once" which is a key chapter and can't be bypassed. Hope these patches fix it.
@RobN just had a quick look, they've got "Repeated Button Presses" as tap/hold (it default to tap), but nothing to turn off hold for getting on the bike, crafting items etc. It's a weird omission since they got some great dead-zone settings (very handy if you get stick drift). Oh well, I've put up with it for the last 57 hours, it'll be fine!
Is the image quality now as good as or better than the PS4 version?
I’m enjoying the remaster—I especially liked the $10 price point when I thought I’d have to pay full price—but I am having ONE issue with the game: I feel like I played it too recently to truly enjoy it to its fullest extent.
I’m a guy who very, very rarely (like never) ever goes back to play a game after I’ve beaten it. Last weekend, I picked up my PS4 disc of Bioshock Remastered and booted it up on the PS5. How long had it been since I played it last? The most recent save file was April of 2018, so I loaded that one. Still, when I started playing it again, it felt like I’d played it maybe a year or two ago. Nevertheless, I incinerated and telekinesised my way through the baddies and Big Daddies to reach the end credits. (FANTASTIC GAME, btw. The game still holds up REALLY WELL…especially the sound effects…WOW!!) And then I re-started—and knocked out about half of—Bioshock Infinite, and I’ll hopefully get through that one this weekend.
Anyway, the point is…I’ve only replayed three or four games in my 48 years on this planet: The two Bioshock games (original and Remastered…though I had never finished either of them on their original version), CoD Modern Warfare (original and Remastered) and CoD MW 2 (original and Remastered) some of Bulletstorm, and some of TLoU Part 1…and a little of Resident Evil 4. So, really, it’s just the two CoD games I played through fully 2x. And that’s it!
So…it feels weird to play Days Gone again so soon. I might have to wait another year or two before it feels fresh enough to really sink in my teeth. For now, I’m just nibbling around the edges.
@crackeastwood Days Gone on PS5 looks a little better than the PS4 version, yes, but the HUGE difference is that the PS4 version had a ton of slowdown. All that slowdown is gone in the PS5 version. It plays exactly as I wanted and hoped it would play: PERFECTLY.
still playing for the 2nd time this remaster version is great looking forward to playing the extras after finishing the campian
@jgrangervikings1 Good to know thanks
@Americansamurai1 I think it may have to do with which save you import. I and others had issues with importing a new game plus PS4 save into the PS5 version. They never fixed that so I had to kinda trial and error each PS4 save till one clicked. When that worked by luck more than anything the trophies popped and that was before this latest patch.
@Jettstyles couldn’t agree more. Absolutely amazing on the second playthrough. It may be my imagination or poor memory but the hordes in the main game seemed bigger. I shat myself when one of them came running out of a cave and chased me down a hill. The whole hillside was streaming with them.
