Re: Over 1,600 Must-Play PS5, PS4 Games Discounted on PS Store

@purple_mouse_gaming , I first played Demons Souls back in the day, and thought I didn’t like this kind of game and dropped off it. I caved and got Bloodborne, 10 years ago. It was a gateway drug, and I’ve played everything else since. Bloodborne can be a pain at the start, grinding for blood vials, but it blossoms into such a fantastic game. So much weirdness! Watch out if you stand next to a certain tree in a graveyard!😉

After finishing Arizona Sunshine last week, I’ve started it again. It’s that much fun, the gunplay is
superb. Also got the Talos Principle 2 DLC, which feels a fair bit tougher than the base game. Also want to get a bit of Crow Country and Eiyuden Chronicles in too. Have a great weekend folks!

Arizona Sunshine 2! Best fun I’ve had with a fps since OG Doom. Really want to squeeze in some Euyoden Chronicles and Paper Mario Thousand Year Door. Just got Crow Country as well, which looks awesome. Need to find the last rabbit in Animal Well (so many fantastic indies at the moment!).

Have a great weekend folks!

I need to replay hit and Run, so good. I’ve just splurged on a PSVR2 after the price drop, and oh my God! I was ready to not be that bothered and possibly return it, but I absolutely love it! I don’t think I could go back to GT7, and Arizona Sunshine 2 is a blast, fantastic gun play. It’s my first experience of VR and I’m blown away. I hope they put VR mode in more games, but I’d be happy just using it for GT7. With a set oh H9’s it’s giving my neck muscles a workout too. Happy gaming folks!

Re: PS5 Players Are Buying Fewer New Games, But Spending More Than Ever Overall

DrVenture69

There are also just so many great games. I didn’t get Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnorok because there was so much else I wanted to play. I want to circle back around to them, but look at the rpg space. It’s like a fire hose! I also think companies telling us what we want rather than listening is a big problem, big beautiful games that run like crap, new games in loved series that take very different approaches. That all makes me think, yeah I might get it, but I can wait. If something amazing came out I’d probably drop full price (the next GTA), but I’ve started to like games like Animal Well a lot more

Re: Rumour: New DOOM Game Reveal at Xbox Showcase, Coming to PS5

DrVenture69

I’ve been playing Doom 2016 for a week or so, and I was thinking, I wonder if we’ll get another one, the 2 days later this pops up😂. I bought my first PC in 1995 to play Doom, it’s still a fantastic game, and as others have said, Medieval Doom sound like Heretic. I still remember seeing an animated leaf blowing in the wind in Hexen and thinking “Wow, we’re living in the future!”

Still loving Animal Well (35 hours! I do poke into every corner and I haven’t cheated other than looking up what to do with a shrine and if you could save the caged cats (you can)). For me, it’s up there with Fez. The further in I get, the more impressed I am with it. Have a great weekend folks!

Loving Animal Well (some brilliant environmental puzzles and feels a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be). Also a bit of Eiyuden Chronicles, but I’m finding it hard to click with. I’ll also get a bit of Doom 2016 in (got it last week for less than £4 in the sale, along with Doom Eternal). Have a great weekend folks!

After 34 years in IT (not games), I’ve been through 3 takeovers. The first statement you’ll hear is “We’re all one team now, pulling together”, the next will be (after about 2 years when the regulatory requirements of the take over are done with), you’ll get “Financial challenges mean we need to look at streamlining”, then you’ll get “We need to make tough decisions”. Basically if you’re company gets taken over, get on Linked In

Re: Final Fantasy 16 Patch 1.31 Out Now on PS5, Brings Big Damage Buffs for Clive, Better Side Quests, and Much More

I’ve got a theory you get used to framerate after a while. It was like watching a flip book for the first couple of days, but now it looks fine. I think my brain took a while to sync to the framerate (same thing happened with Bloodborne). I’ve ended up loving this game after not expecting much (I miss the party, there’s way too many cutscenes but they’re usually pretty good, and the combat is still too button-mashy but there is a bit of finesse to it where the Eikons are concerned)

Re: Final Fantasy 16 Successfully Expanded the Series to New, Younger Players, Says Square Enix

I remember not liking 12’s combat after finishing 10 (then loving it afterwards). I’m playing 16 for the first time after just finishing 10 remake. It weirdly feels like 12. I don’t hate the combat, but it’s very button-mashy. The game world is beautiful (frame rate is a bit low), but feels a bit empty. I’ve actually liked it more than I thought I would, but wow, I could do with about a 50th of the cut scenes! I’m looking forward to Rebirth soon
