Konami has announced the next Silent Hill entry, named Silent Hill F, is surprisingly close to release. Part of the latest State of Play livestream, it's confirmed for a PS5 release on 25th September 2025. Catch the new trailer above.

Oh wow, this is exciting. Loved Silent Hill 2 Remake so I will be watching this with great interest.
Preordered the Steel book edition. I will say the game play did look a bit arcady but the atmosphere and art direction are PEAK Silent Hill.

Looks creepy as hell, cannot wait for it. Very likely to play day one.
As a fan of Silent Hill, Horror and Japan in general this is shaping up to be my most anticipated game of the year. So far it looks incredible and I know the misses will enjoy watching me play this.
As a big fan of higurashi this is a d1 buy
Love the term choice, as I miss all the twisted endings the first game had.
I’ll wait to see how it reviews a bit before I get too excited, but I’m happy to say that it feels like Silent Hill is back in a big way.

Wow! I was already sold before! The atmosphere, the enemy design, even the sluggish combat. I was hoping for an October release, but September is even better!

Well duh just like every SH games 🙄
The combat intentionally designed like that because the main character isn't a fighter or have experience with combat. And that clunkyness add to the intense situation against the monsters, although in many SH games it's better dodge / run away from the monster.
With the combat it definitely plays better in Silent Hill 2 remake than it looks in trailers (not to say this will play the same that). I dono, the clunky combats works if done right in the silent hill universe. You are a nobody learning to fight, its gonna be awkward and clunky etc. It has to be done right but its something that doesn't translate well with trailers and videos.
I was going to replay SH2 in October, i was im playing this now! Hey, maybe we’ll even got a Pro patch for SH2 (he said bitterly!😂). TBH, i didnt have any major issues with it
