Don't let anyone tell you there are no fresh ideas in video games anymore. Not when games like Henry Halfhead show their face — or the top half, at least.
Developed by Lululu Entertainment, Henry Halfhead is a funny little adventure title coming to PS5 on 16th September 2025, as revealed by this new trailer.
You play as Henry, who is the top half of a head. The whole hook of this short, silly experience is that you can possess basically any object, changing how you interact with the world around you.

It seems like a simple game about the joy of embodying everyday things; becoming a knife to cut up an apple, or shaking up a can of cola and flying around on a stream of bubbles.
You can play this unusual sandbox game solo or with a friend in local co-op.
We have to wonder if Henry Halfhead is at all inspired by the work of Keita Takahashi — the designer behind the likes of Katamari Damacy, Wattam, and to a T — as it shares a similar whimsy and simplicity.
Anyway, colour us interested — but what do you make of this one? Tell us in the comments section below.

Looks like there's a demo on Steam, full version releasing there same time as PS5 version.
Seems like a great game for a handheld. If the multiplayer support includes couch co-op, that's got possibilities for the PS5, otherwise I'm not so sure.
But for games like this, a LOT depends on the execution. "I Am Bread" seems like a similarly ridiculous premise, but seems to have done very well. This feels like it's targeting the same audience.
I love weird indies, im upfor this (as soon as ive finish So Glad You’re here and Just Crow things, now ive sorted Death Stranding 2
Hehehe dude this looks cool
@DrVenture69 thank goodness you here was awesome. Love a sequel
Looks like a goofy fun time and I like the "capture and control" anything mechanic, reminds me of Mario Odyssey
@Ricksta @DrVenture69 I assume you guys are referring to Thank Goodness You're Here, right?
Day one for me on this one. I’m so glad off-beat indies are a thing. Really excited for this one!
@Questionable_Duck I knew in my head that didn’t sound right 😂. I’ve just dragged @Ricksta down into my cone of ignorance 😂
Looks like someone took the "Cappy" mechanic from Mario Odyssey and made a full game from it. Looks funny.
Reminded me of Kirby more than the games mentioned in the news.
Isn't the mechanic similar to the game 'Everything' they even said that word a few times in the trailer.. certainly took inspiration
