Quite painful to read the description of Forspoken in a “best of” list. Frankly, if such a list needs clutter to be filled, PS Plus is just not a very good service in my opinion.
Still hope the game is better than this though. I picked up a physical copy for € 6 but haven’t played it yet.
@Th3solution Yes, there’s Spa that gives you 1.5 mln for 60 minutes and Le Mans and another that give you roughly 800k for 25-30 minutes. This is including an almost unmissable clean race bonus.
Glad I could resell my VR2 for a decent price after I bought it cheap in last year’s days of play sale. It’s very cool technology, but I just didn’t really enjoy playing it. Quite a hassle to set up and clear out the room and for me it was too demanding to play for longer than an hour.
@Oram77 I think it’s fair (but not necessary) to give them some benefits, not necessarily financial ones. Thinking this exact discount should count for you every year (so always) seems excessive to me though.
This will probably get a lot of backlash once again, but I fully support this strategy. These deals are to gain new members who hopefully stick around. If they were comfortable with these prices for all members they could just lower the overall price and don’t have these promotions.
I see these discussions with cable companies as well; existing customers always feel left out when new members get a nice gift. But they’re deals to gain customers. Nothing wrong with that.
@somnambulance I’m very afraid of this as well. Eventually a new economic system will be figured out (the one we have is relatively new still), but the road leading there will be very bumpy. I read that “we” (I’m from the Netherlands) are the most cynical nation in our reaction to AI. You see this everywhere; all developments are laughed at. I’m very afraid the shock will be even bigger when “all of a sudden” many people will lose their jobs and starter functions won’t be available anymore.
People tend to do strange things when they feel uncomfortable and rapid change will trigger it.
@ThroughTheIris56 I agree that it’s a shame. Arts will probably still have a big function in society in the long run, but not as something to earn your money with.
@The_Wailing_Doom I don’t really understand why. Other jobs have disappeared in the past as well because of the rise of technology. You can’t stop this and neither can (or should) you restrict commercial companies from making decisions based on making profit.
I do believe this current situation is way more widespread though and most of us will lose their jobs in the next 5-10 years. That doesn’t mean you can stop this though. Governments could better start making preparations for these unstoppable developments. Yet when I watch all the media surrounding the elections we had in the Netherlands a few weeks ago the topic isn’t even on the table.
This device still has zero impact for me. If I bought a handheld I would want to play offline, for instance on the bus or in the plane. I think you even need to have your console turned on for it to work?
I still don’t really understand this product at all. Or is it targeted solely for people sharing households so they don’t have to claim the tv?
@Rich33 In what way do you find it better? I really liked GoT at first, but got bored with all the repetitive side mission clutter. It felt like the generic open world formula in a good looking skin.
Does GoY improve on that? Or more on other aspects?
@Northern_munkey I played WRC 9, 10 and this one and I didn’t feel that much of a difference in car handling to be honest. I think overall 9 is my favorite.
The WRC series definitely aren’t garbage. They’re quite solid in all aspects, with a good combination of sim-depth and accessible enough for a wider audience.
It’s not all about scores/quality of the games. It’s about the combination quality/age/today’s value which doesn’t make PS Plus interesting for me. Most games on there I can buy physically for a good price and sell them afterwards.
Finished Bloodborne for the first time, including the DLC. What a blast! I remember buying it when the PS4 came out and quickly returning it because I just didn’t understand these kinds of games. Returnal and Elden Ring really opened my eyes.
After two 100+ hours games in a row I’m taking a small break from gaming now, except for the daily GT7 roulette miles. Time to dive into that big pile of blu-rays I’ve bought over the last two years.
Really want to dive into it again, one of the best gaming experiences I’ve had. I’m glad though it got pushed to 2026, I just don’t have the time for such a humongous game right now.
@nomither6 I didn’t have a life until I finally scored the Pro disc drive so I could play my disc games again that I could already play on my base PS5. I’m every marketing specialist’s dream victim.
I can tell you all how I have a PS5 Pro and can sit out this one until the PS6 Pro comes along, but we all know that’s not going to happen. Tell me there’s a shortage and high demand and it will become my mission to have it as soon as possible.
@PoeticJustice I never really understand the arguments about cross gen. What’s the problem with it? You play clearly better versions of games than people on the PS4 do and they load lightning quick. If people with an older console can enjoy the same games as I do - good for them. It doesn’t even influence my experience.
It’s not surprising for me at all. I game almost daily and still I can finish perhaps 4 or at the very max 5 games a year. So I guess I buy one every 3 months on average.
For people that don’t game daily and/or have a social life (the thought…) I think 2 games a year sounds plausable.
I’m at the very end game of Bloodborne. I’ll wait before entering the final bosses before I’ve played the DLC though, I heard there’s a point of no return.
Having a blast with this game! I always read this is one of the hardest games, but I guess Elden Ring and Returnal have upped my skills since I don’t have a lot of trouble with it.
After all those years I finally started playing Bloodborne and I instantly connected with it. I’ve already beaten 7 bosses in my first week and I’m loving every second of it. I especially like the aggressive style this game demands.
I hope they improved upon the first game in staying interesting. At first I loved the game, but after a while it got repetitive and boring. It was more about checking off boxes than actually having the feeling of achieving something. Plus, the map was just way too big.
I don’t think people will get a lot of sunlight next year with both GTA and FH launching. I personally never got the hype for both franchises, but I guess this will be good for the industry.
“Unlike Returnal, Saros is a roguelite, meaning there are impactful permanent upgrades you'll acquire between runs. This means you won't be starting from ground zero every time you try again; you'll always be making some tangible progress.”
How is this unlike Returnal, where you actually make progress every run?

Re: Video: All the PS5 Games We Think Are 10/10
@themightyant Are you sure about that? I thought Elden Ring was almost flawless from day one.
Re: Video: All the PS5 Games We Think Are 10/10
Elden Ring should indeed be on here, Returnal as well. Ragnarok? I’d give it 6,5/10 at best.

@PerpetualBoredom That’s it? No explanation? Just a negative comment without any context and that’s it?

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (PS5) - The Most Absurd Game in Series History
@LiamCroft I did. Didn’t read like a “not bad” to me.
Re: Gran Turismo 7's New Bonus Credits Offer Feels Cruel for Current Players
2 million credits is not even 90 minutes of playing for us players that have progressed past the campaign. Not a problem at all for me.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (PS5) - The Most Absurd Game in Series History
Whole review: this game is bad. Score: not bad.

Re: Hands On: PS Portal Is a Whole New Device with Cloud Streaming Update
@Th3solution Thanks for clarifying. The always online thing is still a hard dealbreaker for me, but it sounds like it has improved besides that.
Re: Hands On: PS Portal Is a Whole New Device with Cloud Streaming Update
@rub3nmv Glad you’re enjoying it. I don’t see myself doing that. I can game on my neo qled from my relax seat so I’d always pick that.

Re: Hardware Review: RIG R5 Spear Pro HS - Entry Level PS5 Headset Has Surprisingly Great Audio
