I thought the Pulse Elite had big connectivity problems? Here it says “seamless connectivity”?

I’d still like to upgrade from my Pulse 3D (with worn cushions), but the experiences with bad connectivity are holding me back.

I can play it “for free” on GP but can’t get bothered. I love more realistic games such as GT7 and WRC, but this feels like the handling of cars in GTA5 and quickly gets boring.

@somnambulance That’s definitely not a statement you can make this easily. FH5 and GT7 are completely different games. For me, I already spend more than 100 hours with GT7 since I love sim racers, while I was bored with FH7 after one day. You’re not only comparing completely different games, but different genres (sim vs arcade racers) altogether.

Really love this game, it’s so engaging to step in your spaceship and visit this endless list of planets. Feels a bit sour though if it comes to PS5, since it’s the one reason I bought a Series X next to my PS5.

@twitchtvpat I’m not sure we’re talking about the same thing here. My point is that the additions don’t have the quality of the games that are leaving, so that the platform slowly loses its value.

This reminds me that I bought the ME Legendary Edition trilogy during the BF sale. I really hope these games still have the impact everyone says they have, since I never played them before and they might feel old and clunky now.

PS Plus has become such a joke. The good games are slowly but surely leaving the service and the additions are just not worth the money. Glad I unsubscribed last year.

I won’t even pay the regular price for it. I’m perfectly fine waiting a year or longer for a good deal. GTA games are fun, but massively overhyped.

I don’t get the criticism. I bought it two months ago and it’s such a fantastic piece of hardware. Really made me rediscover gaming. Also, there’s loads of fun games to play on it, including games you can keep on playing long after you beat them (Puzzling Places, Pistol Whip, etc.).

Nothing but praise from me.

@gollumb82 I have to say I didn’t play the original. Maybe that’s also the problem: for me it’s just a game with old fashioned level design without feeling any nostalgia.

Infinity Nikki and I absolutely love it! Refreshing to play a game with solely good vibes.

Speaking of good vibes: I was playing Dead Space remake this week, but was surprised to not like it at all. The gameplay was so boring and the graphics really disappointed as well.

Dead Space on Series X and Horizon: Call of the Mountain on PS VR2.

Why not delay it until 2029? Just imagine the day one experience we’ll have.

Honestly hadn’t heard of it until now. Never saw anything being promoted on my PS5 I believe.

Has anyone here upgraded from the original Pulse headphones to the Pulse Elite? Is it a big difference soundwise? And is it more durable (the cushions on the original Pulse get ugly really quick due to tear)?

Finished the first Hellblade, such a good and important game. The making of video made it even more impressive. Finding my next game from the Game Pass backlog now. Gears 5 wasn’t it for me. Will probably try Redfall or Diablo IV next.

At the same time playing some Puzzling Places on my PS VR2, lovely game. I also need to keep reminding myself to continue with Call of the Mountain, but despite the visuals it’s starting to feel like a drag. I want to finish it though before I start Walkabout Mini Golf or Pistol Whip.

Death Stranding 2 is my clear number 1. My backlog wil provide me for the whole year (as it did last year), but for this one I’ll make an exception and buy it on release day.

I’m dying to replay the FF XIII trilogy. Just not for the prices Xbox asks to play it on Series X.

Edit: Just realized I can actually buy the physicial games for Xbox 360 and play them enhanced on my Series X! Bought the first two games for € 5 each, just Lightning Returns to go.

@Mintie I’m sure it will. I like some breezy games every now and then and fashion holds my attention as well. My first impression is that it reminds me of FF X-2 minus the combat, a game that really clicked with me.

Infinity Nikki caught my eye, will definitely check this out! Finding these hidden gems are what year lists are all about for me, instead of debating whether a certain game is ranked high enough.

Thanks for all the responses! I think I’ll build a new character and do a full new run, so it won’t get too easy. On my first run I had to respec my character completely for the Elden Beast. I think I’ll try to build that character from the ground up this time and integrate the dlc at the end of my new run.

So much looking forward to diving into Elden Ring again! Do you guys recommend a new game + including the dlc or a totally new game? I beat the end boss on my first run.

I love rpg’s, but I just can’t get through Yakuza and Persona (I’m sure that one will be in the top 2) games. I’ll definitely play FF 7 Rebirth and Silent Hill though. I’m also looking forward to the longlist to check out some lesser known games.

That will be a really meh top 3, if it’s those two rpg’s and Astrobot. Some interesting titles to check out in the rest of the top 10 though.

After having completed the excellent Lies of P I started the first Hellblade. The first impressions are very good. Game Pass suddenly started clicking for me the last couple of months.

In between I’m laying some puzzles on my PS VR2.

At least the bottom half of the top 10 is good, so there’s always that to keep looking at.

These quizzes are so difficult they’re not even fun. I visit this site daily and there isn’t a single answer I reasonably could have known.

Probably/hopefully finishing Lies of P. I’m nearing the end now, I think. Truly masterful game, I should really try Bloodborne since I also loved Elden Ring and Demon’s Souls remake.

Off-topic: Why are the articles on this website written in such an unnecessary complex way? That first sentence is almost unreadable, just as a lot of titles with all those capitals. As a non-native speaker I often find it difficult to read the articles, even though I completed my CAE course.

Continuing with Lies of P. I’m at the opera house now and there definitely seems to be a spike in difficulty. Perhaps I’ll have to grind a bit more since even the regular enemies are getting harder.

In between I’m playing some Puzzling Places on my new VR2. I actually didn’t expect to be this fanatic with puzzling.

Curiously The Witcher 3 didn't speak to me at all. Tried it for a little bit and immediately quit. But this one certainly looks very promising.

When Push Square says the collection is good I usually shrug my shoulders because of another ***** month and now it’s introduced as “Not the biggest bang” I actually find it the most appealing selection of the whole year. I’d play Forspoken and Sonic immediately if I were still subscribed and WRC Generations as well if I hadn’t already bought it.

How do these things actually happen every year? Don’t they have a testing department? Same as with the iPhone app - it just doesn’t seem to be developed with actual users in mind.

(My new) PS VR2: I was playing Horizon, but got addicted to Puzzling Places in the meantime.

Series X: In the middle of Lies of P, but checking out The Quarry in between since it will get delisted. I don’t think it will be my kind of game though.

PS5: Nothing for a while. My priority is my humongous Game Pass backlog at the moment.

Lies of P, which is keeping me interested longer than I thought. It can be so frustrating at points (the cathedral platforming made me want to quit), but the relief is satisfying once you get through.

Mixing it up with some short sessions of Horizon COTM. Don’t want to rush it since I’m not used to vr yet since Ingot my VR2 this week.

@Medic_alert I was indeed looking into this yesterday, but didn’t do it because there are only a few PS VR2 games on there, certainly not 15? Which ones do you mean?

At first I thought there were more, but half of them seem to be only demos.

I was always a bit skeptical about PS VR2, but I ordered one anyway during the BF sale. I’m just totally blown away. I was playing Horizon yesterday for the first time and I was just looking around in awe all the time. It’s like I’m rediscovering gaming altogether.

Finished Resident Evil 3 and enjoyed it. Just started Lies of P, too early to give an opinion but I think I’ll enjoy this one more than other non-From souls games.

Aaargh I still can’t seem to score the PS VR2 Horizon bundle for € 399 in the Netherlands. Our local direct.playstation.com actually shows the bundle, but for the old price while it’s listed in the Black Friday lineup. All other shops only sell the PS VR2 without Horizon, so I don’t know if I should bite yet before that one’s gone.
