It’s not surprising for me at all. I game almost daily and still I can finish perhaps 4 or at the very max 5 games a year. So I guess I buy one every 3 months on average.
For people that don’t game daily and/or have a social life (the thought…) I think 2 games a year sounds plausable.
I’m at the very end game of Bloodborne. I’ll wait before entering the final bosses before I’ve played the DLC though, I heard there’s a point of no return.
Having a blast with this game! I always read this is one of the hardest games, but I guess Elden Ring and Returnal have upped my skills since I don’t have a lot of trouble with it.
After all those years I finally started playing Bloodborne and I instantly connected with it. I’ve already beaten 7 bosses in my first week and I’m loving every second of it. I especially like the aggressive style this game demands.
I hope they improved upon the first game in staying interesting. At first I loved the game, but after a while it got repetitive and boring. It was more about checking off boxes than actually having the feeling of achieving something. Plus, the map was just way too big.
I don’t think people will get a lot of sunlight next year with both GTA and FH launching. I personally never got the hype for both franchises, but I guess this will be good for the industry.
“Unlike Returnal, Saros is a roguelite, meaning there are impactful permanent upgrades you'll acquire between runs. This means you won't be starting from ground zero every time you try again; you'll always be making some tangible progress.”
How is this unlike Returnal, where you actually make progress every run?
@Arkz Wouldn’t call all of those facts. For me the grinding part isn’t that dramatic. I play it 30 minutes a day (Le Mans circuit) which for me is a fun way to start up my gaming night and I get 800,000 credits for it. That’s not bad at all.
@DonkeyFantasy Ah, that would be a bummer. I’m doing my rounds every day but that Ferrari invite is just impossible to get. I’m constantly getting 10,000 credits or parts.
@Nepp67 If scores are meaningless they wouldn’t include them. Together with the pros and cons they (should) give a good indication about the game for readers that don’t want to read any possible spoilers.
Lately I notice I don’t take the reviews on Push Square serious anymore. It’s good to hear a different sound every now and then, but scores and opinions are just too far from the average. I honestly don’t believe this is a 7/10 game after everything I’ve read so far.
Platinumed Death Stranding 2 yesterday after 195 hours! In doubt what to play next. Possibly I finally start with Bloodborne, or otherwise the Alan Wake trilogy.
@CaptainWow Same. I tried previous versions two times but gave up because it didn’t click with me. Played Part 1 on my Pro this year though and absolutely loved it. It feels like a whole new game.
Trying to round off Death Stranding 2 today after 160 hours (since release day). I guess I’m in the last chapter, but getting platinum might be a lot of work.
If it takes another week I’m okay with that though, I just can’t leave this game alone. The last days I was just randomly repairing roads while enjoying the music.
Perhaps I’m overthinking this, but even if I buy a game right on release day I could never rate it after only 6/7 days. Why not ask for the scores a month after release?
@VeganH Feels like you’re describing Death Stranding 2 here. It looks amazing and plays absolutely perfect. After 100+ hours since release day I haven’t seen a single bug while you could frame a picture of pretty much every scene.
Still Death Stranding 2, every day since release. I think I’m around 75% now. Also doing my daily GT7 rounds to hopefully receive one of those Ferrari invites after years of waiting.
@Oram77 Is that the version that’s part of the trilogy that was released for PS5 last year?
I really can’t deal with old/janky controls (I already gave up on Mass Effect legendary edition) but if that’s actually okay with these games the trilogy might be the best entry point.
As a big DS fan that never played any of the MGS games I’m so glad I can finally experience Kojima’s past now. I think the old games will be too dated for me, this remake seems like the perfect entry point.
I bought the Mass Effect trilogy a year ago and tried it twice, but just can’t get through the first game. It feels so dated and clunky. Which is a shame, based on the setup and theme it should be right up my alley.
This reads like it could have been about the first game and I thought that game was absolutely brilliant. One of the most unique gaming experiences I had, it basically was dealing with depression packed in a game. I’ll definitely try this one as well.
Simply a fantastic game. If I had to wish for one thing to be changed though it would be making the side missions feel more unique. After you’ve put a lot of time in the game there are still hundreds of planets to explore - which is absolutely awesome - but the side missions dealing with this are never ending loops of the same basics. Put a bit more variety in that aspect and you have a perfect game for space nerds like me.

Re: Genshin Impact Wants to Be the Only Game You Ever Play on PS5
I’m such a completionist that every game is a forever game. A real forever game would take me several lifetimes.

@Nem You can filter those.

Re: Remedy Upgrades Control with PS5 Pro Support, New Patch Out Now
Nice! I bought the AW trilogy cheaply a while back and have yet to play it on my Pro.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Ghost of Yotei?
No, I’m not convinced yet based on the reviews. I haven’t read that it’s less of a drag than the first game.
Re: 50+ PS5, PS4 Games to Buy in PS Store's Tokyo Game Show 2025 Sale (North America/Europe)
As mentioned over and over again in the comments - this format for articles just isn’t working. It’s too much clicking without knowing what to expect.
Re: Official PlayStation Art Book to Mark 30 Years of Gaming History
I guess I’ll save up for the 50th anniversary book. Their greed is shameless.

Great news! I wonder what they mean with this exactly: “Unlimited car invitations in Brand Central”
I’ve been waiting for my Ferrari invite for over two years now.
Re: 'We Want to Capture the Soul of the Game': A24's Live Action Death Stranding Movie Unveils Ambition
@1UP-HUSKY They’re completely unnecessary anyway. The games already are movies themselves in a way.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Hollow Knight: Silksong?
@Scottyy I honestly don’t understand the difference. A 1–10 scale using whole numbers is equivalent to a 1–5 scale using half steps, only doubled.
Edit: I understand it if you use half steps on a 1-10 scale, like the 7.5/10. But that’s not the case here, it’s 8/10 so 4.0/5.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Hollow Knight: Silksong?
@Scottyy “ 8/10 or 3.5/5 so far”
Just out of curiosity, how does this work? Both are the same scale, so 8/10 = 4.0/5 and 3.5/5 = 7/10?
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Hollow Knight: Silksong?

Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PS1 at Launch?
Impossible to say. I had one as a child and really liked it, but have no clue if I got it at launch and can’t really compare it to other consoles.
Re: Review in Progress: Hollow Knight: Silksong (PS5) - A Silky Smooth Sequel Proving Well Worth the Wait [Updated]
Three versions of the same review - preview, updated preview and the real review? Seems a bit overdone? Why not just only publish it when finished?

@Mr_Singh Either that or region lock (Netherlands) I guess. Thanks!
Re: Hell Is Us (PS5) - One of the Best Mystery Experiences on PS5
@Mr_Singh There isn’t, neither in de app, the browser and on the console. It just shows the standard and deluxe editions of the game.
Re: Hell Is Us (PS5) - One of the Best Mystery Experiences on PS5
@Mr_Singh Where did you play the demo? I can’t find it in the PS Store.

Re: Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced (PS5) - Cinematic Spectacle Offers Little Else
@Phelaidar I thiught the first game was nailbitingly intense. I think most people with psychoses would do anything for a “boring” life.

None so far. Ask me again in two years what was my favorite game of july 2025
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for August 2025?
@Faultandfracture Depends on what the other months offer. Otherwise buying (and reselling) the game is cheaper.
