@Arkz Wouldn’t call all of those facts. For me the grinding part isn’t that dramatic. I play it 30 minutes a day (Le Mans circuit) which for me is a fun way to start up my gaming night and I get 800,000 credits for it. That’s not bad at all.

Can’t wait for this. Returnal is easily my most fulfilling platinum of all time.

@DonkeyFantasy Ah, that would be a bummer. I’m doing my rounds every day but that Ferrari invite is just impossible to get. I’m constantly getting 10,000 credits or parts.

@Nepp67 I disagree, it gives a first impression, combined with the pros and cons as I mentioned.

@Nepp67 If scores are meaningless they wouldn’t include them. Together with the pros and cons they (should) give a good indication about the game for readers that don’t want to read any possible spoilers.

Lately I notice I don’t take the reviews on Push Square serious anymore. It’s good to hear a different sound every now and then, but scores and opinions are just too far from the average. I honestly don’t believe this is a 7/10 game after everything I’ve read so far.

Platinumed Death Stranding 2 yesterday after 195 hours! In doubt what to play next. Possibly I finally start with Bloodborne, or otherwise the Alan Wake trilogy.

@CaptainWow Same. I tried previous versions two times but gave up because it didn’t click with me. Played Part 1 on my Pro this year though and absolutely loved it. It feels like a whole new game.

Trying to round off Death Stranding 2 today after 160 hours (since release day). I guess I’m in the last chapter, but getting platinum might be a lot of work.

If it takes another week I’m okay with that though, I just can’t leave this game alone. The last days I was just randomly repairing roads while enjoying the music.

@Scottyy I honestly don’t understand the difference. A 1–10 scale using whole numbers is equivalent to a 1–5 scale using half steps, only doubled.

Edit: I understand it if you use half steps on a 1-10 scale, like the 7.5/10. But that’s not the case here, it’s 8/10 so 4.0/5.

Just out of curiosity, how does this work? Both are the same scale, so 8/10 = 4.0/5 and 3.5/5 = 7/10?

Perhaps I’m overthinking this, but even if I buy a game right on release day I could never rate it after only 6/7 days. Why not ask for the scores a month after release?

Impossible to say. I had one as a child and really liked it, but have no clue if I got it at launch and can’t really compare it to other consoles.

Three versions of the same review - preview, updated preview and the real review? Seems a bit overdone? Why not just only publish it when finished?

@Mr_Singh There isn’t, neither in de app, the browser and on the console. It just shows the standard and deluxe editions of the game.

@VeganH Feels like you’re describing Death Stranding 2 here. It looks amazing and plays absolutely perfect. After 100+ hours since release day I haven’t seen a single bug while you could frame a picture of pretty much every scene.

Still Death Stranding 2, every day since release. I think I’m around 75% now. Also doing my daily GT7 rounds to hopefully receive one of those Ferrari invites after years of waiting.

@Oram77 Is that the version that’s part of the trilogy that was released for PS5 last year?

I really can’t deal with old/janky controls (I already gave up on Mass Effect legendary edition) but if that’s actually okay with these games the trilogy might be the best entry point.

As a big DS fan that never played any of the MGS games I’m so glad I can finally experience Kojima’s past now. I think the old games will be too dated for me, this remake seems like the perfect entry point.

I bought the Mass Effect trilogy a year ago and tried it twice, but just can’t get through the first game. It feels so dated and clunky. Which is a shame, based on the setup and theme it should be right up my alley.

So PS simply keeps on ignoring the feedback on the presentation of these articles?

@Phelaidar I thiught the first game was nailbitingly intense. I think most people with psychoses would do anything for a “boring” life.

This reads like it could have been about the first game and I thought that game was absolutely brilliant. One of the most unique gaming experiences I had, it basically was dealing with depression packed in a game. I’ll definitely try this one as well.

@VenomUK I don’t know if I want it too realistic though. Traveling to another planet for 10 years might get a bit tedious 😅

Simply a fantastic game. If I had to wish for one thing to be changed though it would be making the side missions feel more unique. After you’ve put a lot of time in the game there are still hundreds of planets to explore - which is absolutely awesome - but the side missions dealing with this are never ending loops of the same basics. Put a bit more variety in that aspect and you have a perfect game for space nerds like me.

@Faultandfracture Depends on what the other months offer. Otherwise buying (and reselling) the game is cheaper.

Next year is fine. Plenty to play in the meantime. I’m just happy it’s almost certain that I can play this jewel again after having sold my Series X. It was the sole reason why I had the console in the first place.

@Westernwolf4 Yet still it pushes the discussions in a direction where the games are seen as some sort of bonus instead of something you directly pay for. It’s still a strange term to use. I never hear someone talk about the “free movies” being added to Netflix.

“Free” games? You know subs pay for it, right?

@Porco I still find it hard to believe so many people don’t use ad blockers. It’s so easy to use and it makes websites so much better to navigate.

@Caveman49 As with many soulslikes there isn’t really anything easy or hard about it. It just needs patience to be beaten. I’m far from a skilled gamer and beat it all the way to the end by leveling up and making use of the right weapons/builds.

PS. I see other reactions coming in now. When I played it on Series X there were no difficulty options, so I thought your question was cynical

On-topic: PS Plus is definitely stepping up! I have quite a backlog, but I’m thinking of subscribing to claim Diablo 4 and Lies of P.

I heard people getting 40% discounts on a year subscription though, but I don’t see any offers in my account.

All these crossovers are so lazy. Let games just be games etc. They’re made for a specific medium for a reason.

I just keep on keeping on. Taking my time with this lovely game, only just finished chapter 3 after 38 hours. Mixing it up with my daily GT7 credits grind.

@LifeGirl I only played two of their games - Elden Ring and DS Remake - yet and they’re far from identical in approach and setting. They’re within the same genre, that’s all. It’s the same as saying every race game is identical because they make you race.

Feels like NBA 2K25 should definitely be in this list. It’s only € 7,99, crazy.

@Thatguyoverthere Ah yes, I skipped that ridiculous last boss as well. Didn’t feel like worth my time to master it. I still had a really fulfilled feeling about the game though.
