People seem to forget this game is 4 years old next month. Plus, pretty much everyone that wanted to play it has done that by now. I totally understand they don’t bother at this stage, especially since developers are in economically difficult times.
I’ve been in doubt about buying a PS VR2 for a year now, since I don’t know if I’ll experience motion sickness. For this price and with GT7, RE4 and RE Village on the shelf I’ll probably can’t resist.
Does anyone know if these prices are for PS Direct or for other retailers as well?
Tried Forza Motorsport for a couple of hours, hoping it would have been better by now. Unfortunately it still doesn’t come close to Gran Turismo 7 (yet). The single player campaign is just so repetitive and it never gives me that next gen feeling GT7 does.
Instead started playing Cocoon, such an inventive and addictive little game! You can feel the sheer passion of the makers in every level. I do need some online help every now and then, but it’s still very rewarding figuring out most of the puzzles.
@LikelySatan Seriously? The writers obviously refer to we as being PushSquare. As far as I know “we” leaving comments aren’t united in some sort of way.
@Lofty1985 Don’t use the “we” form for personal opinions please. As I am still in doubt I personally enjoy every single one of these articles, since it shows exactly which aspects in which kind of games are influenced.
@TrickyDicky99 Certainly not. In the first months the single player was very disappointing, but it has become great in the meantime and is still developing. I was very critical on it as well, but have spend over 100 (well spend) hours in it now.
I was pondering about buying a Pro to lift my gaming experience to the next level. Instead I traded in my 5 year old television for a new one (Samsung 65QN93D) I’m getting tomorrow. Can’t wait to try it out! I’m sure this will make a bigger impact than playing with a Pro on my old tv.
I’ll definitely play the Res Evil games, Gran Turismo 7 (continuing) and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. It’s not enough to convince me of trading in my PS5 yet though. Especially since I have a ridiculous Game Pass backlog.
@TommyNL For PS Plus as a whole the quality has drastically devalued since launch. We were lured in with games such as Demon’s Souls and Returnal, now it’s mainly old, bad, cheap or indie games.
@Silenos Please mind that a lot of them paid good money for this service and see the quality of content going down the drain. They have every right to be frustrated with that and giving off repeating signals that it’s not okay.
Ghostwire is a really fun game, but is/was already part of Extra. And yes, I know they’re different tiers, but as a subscriber to two or three tiers you feel stolen when games appear on several of them.
Terrible selection, but since this is the case every month it’s just a terrible service for me. I’m I glad I let it run out. I see a lot of people talking about TPS, but I’d never even touch this.
With my current backlog of physical PS5 games and a lot of Game Pass I’ll probably won’t buy any more games within the first year of release. As a big Final Fantasy fan I most probably won’t even play Rebirth before 2025.
I haven't renewed my PS Plus after all those terrible months. Cult of the Lamb would be the first game I'd play in a long time. It still isn't that much of a deal though since retail price is € 12,49.
@Shepherd_Tallon I’m not that far yet, so it’s a bit early to tell. If you like heartwarming characters with funny dialogues and turn based combat you can’t go wrong.
Sounds like this entry could be an interesting one, if they turn these words into practice. Especially the part about accessibility. With these kind of sports games I just want to play some matches, without having to learn all kinds of button combinations.
@get2sammyb Or just “Massive games included in new sale”. I agree the titles on PushSquare are a bit too much sometimes. I really appreciate the articles though, so no biggy.
The question in the title is not the problem with PS Plus, in my opinion. The problem for me was that PS Plus Extra was launched as a great deal, with AAA games such as Returnal and Demon's Souls remake. After everyone had subscribed they didn't continue delivering the same quality though, to the point where not a single month was interesting for me anymore. This feels like misleading the customers, strengthened by the hefty price increase.
Having finished only the base game I would really like to pick up 14 again, but it just feels too overwhelming. I have a backlog on both my PS5 and Series X and this game must take at least a year to finish with all the extensions?
Personally I don’t feel the need for all these crossovers (in both directions). There’s a reason why something is a game or movie/series. I’d rather see producers focus on new projects that are truly developed for said medium.
We’re/I’m good at complaining, but GT7 really is an excellent example of live service games gone right. It’s simply fantastic how they keep on improving the overall experience. Compared to the content available at launch the current state of the game is really stunning, at least for single player gamers like me.
@Silenos Yeah, but what’s easy anyway? Doesn’t pumping 150 hours of “walking” into Death Stranding come down to the same as developing 150 hours into your souls character which makes you beat bosses rather easily?
I don’t really look at it in terms of difficulty but length. At least with the “difficult” games I beat - Elden Ring, Returnal and Demon’s Souls Remake - it was simply a matter of repeating and repeating until you were ready to progress (although the repeating part was in fact about making progress as well).
I really learned it’s just a different way of looking at games. Your goal for a particular day might not be beating an end boss but upgrading your character or learning stuff. In the end the bosses are most of the times very beatable.

Perfect. Extremely talented and stunningly beautiful actress.

Sea of Stars on GP, lovely game!

Re: Astro Bot (PS5) - One of the Greatest PlayStation Platformers of All Time
Hmm, didn’t expect the “for all ages” bit. As a 40-year old I saw it more as a cool tech demo than gameplay I could enjoy for more than a few days.
Perhaps I should give it a chance anyway.

Re: Movie Review: Borderlands - As Bland As the Brand It's Based On
“The most puzzling thing about this picture is how it managed to assemble such an all-star cast.”
Well. It’s not exactly a modern day all-star cast. Just some actors past their prime buffing their pensions.

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for July 2024 Announced
@Silenos One AAA game that’s about a year old would be a good start already. Especially since that’s what we got from PS Plus until a year ago or so.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for July 2024 Announced
@Gigawatt-Kapow Nope, just a reflection of the average reaction and overall lack of popularity for NHL games.

My least favorite FF game. I’m a big fan of the series but this just didn’t speak to me at all, both from a setting and gameplay point of view.
