A spiritual successor should at the very least appeal to the same players. A multiplayer game most definitely isn’t a spiritual successor to one of the most popular single player games ever made. Just as with Nightreign I won’t even consider playing this.

Taking my time to slowly delve into Cyberpunk 2077. It’s a complex game to find your groove with, but I feel like it’s going to be worth the investment.

Perfectly fine with me. That’s hardly any inflation in 25 years time.

Never got it, although my subscription ended quite some time after the outage (March 7th).

No, these Switch games don’t speak to me at all. Not interested in PS3 graphics in 2025.

No, I have zero interest to even look into this or watch the show. I respect the Nintendo of these days, I hear nothing but praise from their target audience, but I’m not it. Feels too arcade for me, just give me the more serious gaming experiences on my Pro.

Can’t wait to undertake this adventure once more, after having played for 200+ hours already. Feeling the dual sense rumble while leaving a planet should be heaven. For me this is the only downside of having sold my Series X.

How I interpret it the games on sale currently won’t run until April 23rd, but will be replaced by a new selection on April 10th. At least all the ones I checked have an end date of the 10th for now.

@ZeroSum Well, that’s just A definition. The first hit I get is this one: “A killer app or system seller is a game that makes a consumer want to purchase a console primarily for that game. It can be because of a significant leap forward in graphics or because a game offers something unique, never seen before, critical acclaim, or appeals to an entirely new audience.”

This definition describes the case at hand pretty well.

What do people here have against the term system seller? The same reactions were given when PS called Starfield a system seller, while in fact that game almost was the definition of system seller.

As for Shadows: the Pro images/videos get lot of promotion currently and it already was a popular game. This naturally means more people will consider the Pro and some will actually buy it. That’s what a system seller is, folks.

I feel good now having waited buying it. By the time the game is in its best Pro form it will be a lot cheaper.

Since I was considering to sell my PS VR2 because I don’t play it very often I decided to give it one more test and fired up Gran Turismo 7. Holy *****! I never experienced anything so real before. The total immersion of being IN the actual car, looking around to check your mirrors and seeing all the interior makes racing so real. The side to side action on tracks is literally heart racing.

Mixing this up with some Resident Evil Village (non-VR) and F1 24 on my Pro.

I’m sure this will be a great game as well, with the same studio and a bigger budget. I just hope it won’t be too easy, Returnal found just the right balance between challenging and doable.

@Toot1st Hard to make claims like this without actually viewing the differences on a television suited to benefit from the Pro. So many people (I’m not addressing this to you) are giving opinions on Pro images from most probably their smartphone while the difference on a good television is night and day. All these comparison videos tell me very little.

This game looks stunning and I couldn’t be happier with my Pro. With this game it annoys me though that I still have to choose between two things I want both. Other games I’ve played offer 60fps with full ray tracing. Why not here?

I’m so glad this one is reviewed well. Ubisoft games get lots of criticism but this setting (opposed to Valhalla) immediately spoke to me. Guess I’ll wait a few months for the inevitable price drop though.

Didn’t finish Call of the Mountain, it became too frustrating because of the controls. Started RE: Village instead and might pick up F1 24 on my way home. For the first time in four years I’m watching F1 again so I have some homework to do to learn the “new” tracks

Most definitely a system seller. I literally bought my first Xbox (Series X) solely for this game two years ago and many others did the same.

Traded in my Series X and PS5 for a PS5 Pro in the meantime, but would absolutely love to play it again. Especially on the dualsense. I put in over 250 hours already, but was nowhere near discovering all planets and haven’t played the DLC.

I hope there will also be a fairly priced alternative for people who like physical copies, such as a nice steelbook version for € 20 more or so as they did with Starfield.

@Shad361 Probably because those advertisements are being pushed to you because of your search history. Never seen those advertisements once.

@Shad361 anything more than a very small chance probably means you’re too rough on your controllers. I’ve only had in once in four years (and plenty of others with me). Got a new one without any discussion.

@SoulChimera Not necessarily. FH5 was the first game in the series I played and I was quite bored actually. It’s good to know beforehand that it’s VERY arcade in setup and handling. If that’s your thing, you’ll probably have a great time with it.

@nessisonett You could say that about most luxury goods. 400 is actually a really good price for this type of niche hardware. Plus, there are tons of cool games to play, so the “forgotten about” thing isn’t a problem at all to me.

I need more information about the games first, but anything linked to Mars catches my attention so Surviving Mars might be interesting.

Trying to finish Call of the Mountain this weekend. Quite a bad game (good tech demo), but I want to finish it now I got this far.

On the Pro I’ll continue with The Callisto Protocol after that.

I still haven’t got used to articles releasing the date of when the release date will be released.

I really want this to be good. The combination of setting and gameplay has potential. The bloodiness is a good sign as well.

Game of last month…? I’m slowly but steadily arriving at the point where my backlog is small enough to start considering to buy some 2024 games.

I don’t see the extra days yet. But otherwise my sub was running out this Friday anyway, so I won’t start with a new game anymore.

Trying to finish the excellent Cult of the Lamb now my month of PS Plus runs out. Was hoping to score a platinum trophy, but beating all bosses without getting hit seems a bit too much 😬

@AK4tywill Same. I even had two consoles, both with insurmountable backlogs and it made me so stressed. I sold both my PS5 and Series X, bought a Pro and enjoying it so much more now. Games I bought that seem like a drag (complete Mass Effect and Stalker trilogies) I deleted and may or may not play them in the future. Instead I’m just enjoying some recent AAA games now.

And even now I know this works best for me, I’m still constantly tempted to buy all sorts of games. That’s just life of a HSP-HSS I guess 😅

@LunarFlame17 Good to hear! I think most people don’t realize you actually need to see it on your 4k tv. And not via a video on your phone. Before I got my 65 inch neo qled I never even saw the difference between 30 and 60 fps. Now it’s a whole new experience.

These games never were for me. I can see there’s quality in them, but I quickly get bored with the one-sided combat and all the alpha male grunting.
