Re: Batman: Arkham Knight Delays Its Vigilante Justice on PlayStation 4

Crimson_Ridley

While it's disappointing to hear the game has been delayed, it works in my favour. ComicCon is in May, and it'll be an expensive trip for me with all the merchandise begging to be bought. Batman will now come out after the following pay day, so I can spend even more at ComicCon!

Did you see the new gameplay trailer?! Fantastic stuff! It's very familiar, with the UI and counter icons, but the game looks so different in comparison to the other titles. I'm going to be so excited when I get my hands on it!

Re: March's Free PlayStation Plus Games include Oddworld PS4, OlliOlli 2, and Valiant Hearts

Crimson_Ridley

Oddworld is awesome! I already have it, but I'm glad more people are going to get to try it out! I'm very happy to see Valiant, as I've been holding off buying it because it looked like a perfect candidate for PS+. OlliOlli2 is a welcome addition, and though I won't bother downloading Sherlock (great game, but I finished it on Xbox One), it's well worth a try if you like mystery games.

Overall, a very good month. Thank you, Sony.

Done it for you guys. I'm actually a fan of optional subscriptions to a site, as I've done it for Xbox Achievements and True Achievements in the past. I like the idea of offering my help in keeping the site running through a monetary solution, and that I'm never forced to do so if I can't afford it, but can still view the content on the site.

Re: The Last of Us' Ellie Is Poised to Become One of the Most Famous Characters in Gaming

Crimson_Ridley

I think Ellie was made in to a gay character just because of how much being gay mattered in 2013/14. I have gay friends and they don't feel that they need to go around shouting about how they are gay, but people in the media/gaming/celebrities have decided that it should be focused on. If you're gay, you're gay, it's absolutely fine, but it needn't be something that is made a big deal of. I agree with BLP; Ellie's sexuality should not make her as popular as she apparently is, and as TooGood said, it certainly should not have been the main aspect of her character that they singled out.

Would this GLAAD have even cared an ounce for Ellie is she wasn't gay? No, I doubt they would.

Re: Guide: How to Use Your 10 Per Cent Off PSN Voucher on PS4, PS3, and PlayStation Vita

Crimson_Ridley

I was going to buy Resident Evil, but then I thought that would probably go down in price at some point, plus I fancy playing the Gamecube version for nostalgic purposes first. Then I thought I would pick up GoT and TFtB, but then realised that ALL Telltale games go down in price drastically, so I just bought the Bioshock Infinite DLC. I was going to get them anyway, but I saved 83p.

Re: Poll: What Will You Be Spending Your 10 Per Cent PSN Discount On?

Crimson_Ridley

Stop moaning (those of you that are). Sony doesn't need to apologise for anything. A DDoS attack is something that can't really be countered, and if people are determined enough they can just keep hitting them with it. The network was down, and it sucked, but look for an apology off the people responsible for the attack, not the victims of it. Sony were just as much a victim as we were, more so in fact, as they had to get back to work on Christmas to try and sort it out, while we were crying about not being able to play games.

Take the 10% and use it, or don't. Don't just sit there complaining like you're owed something, because you're not. When did the gaming community become so entitled? You pay for a year of PS+? So do I. Do I use my PS4 every single day? I wish I did, but I don't. Should Sony give me extra days for when I'm at work, or when I'm too tired in the evening to even look at my consoles? Hell no. They gave a few extra days for the issue, but again it wasn't something they absolutely had to do.

If you want to comment, how about just saying thank you? It's not hard to do.

Re: Your Assassin's Creed Unity Compensation Can Now Be Claimed

Crimson_Ridley

@bikeface It's a typical journalistic response and it's incredibly annoying. They make out everything can get no worse, by just showing the bad in a game and not the fact that the game is nowhere near as buggy as games that have come before it.

I've actually stopped reading a lot of Push Square articles about AC as they act like it's the most broken game ever made.

Re: Assassin's Creed Unity Patch Will Improve Framerate on PS4

Crimson_Ridley

Oh, I'm well aware of how Ubisoft has been doing things in recent years. I'm also well aware that they haven't fixed things as quickly as they are doing now in the past. Rayman Raving Rabbids released on the 360 with so many broken achievements, and Ubisoft all but said "Meh" to it. They've become EA under a different name, but I'm happy that they're at least doing something for now, and as I said not everybody's experience has been as bad.

What I'm saying is, we're as greedy for games as companies are for money. If we didn't support yearly iterations, Assassin's Creed would never have become one. AC1 and 2 were years apart, and the difference in quality was incredible. We can sit and blame developers all day, but it's a large majority of our community that has allowed this. I love the Assassin's Creed series, so I'm one of the guilty people that have bought it each year.

Re: Assassin's Creed Unity Patch Will Improve Framerate on PS4

Crimson_Ridley

I've been playing for a good few hours on PS4, and as of yet I've only experienced a few bugs. I couldn't care less about NPCs randomly dropping out of the map or getting stuck in place; that amuses me. I care about mission-stopping bugs like getting stuck on scenery or a character I'm supposed to be following gets stuck behind something. I've had that happen a couple of time, but only to the point that I curse a little and then just restart the checkpoint.

I haven't encountered half of the issues others have, and that's why it's clear to see that not everybody will have the same experience, including Ubisoft. Yes, the game needed more time in development, but they've done nothing but keep the fixes coming, which is better than most. Obviously it's not acceptable, but then consumers are greedy and they expect their games as quick as possible. We only have ourselves to blame, buying in to the yearly iterations of shooters and sports titles. We asked for this, and this is what we get. We bite the hand that feeds, especially as we're always asking for more.

Re: Good News, PS4 Exclusive DriveClub Almost Works Now

Crimson_Ridley

I was looking forward to this game, but I won't support a broken product. Evolution had almost a year longer to get this game working, and yet they've released a slap in the face to the consumer. Anyone that is supporting this are just allowing this kind of crap in the games industry. A consumer's biggest weapon is their purse/wallet, and developer's will get a product in ship-shape very quickly if you withhold a sale from them. Stop buying a product in the hopes it'll get fixed!
