Re: Final Fantasy XV Buckles Up Until 29th November on PS4

Crimson_Ridley

I honestly have zero interest in this game now. I'm a huge fan of Final Fantasy, but with all these delays, and the fact that the entire game has changed multiple times, with a development time rivalling Duke Nukem Forever, it's almost ridiculous to even think of letting yourself get interested in it. You're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

I'd rather just have Kingdom Hearts 3, and for Final Fantasy XV to just join Star Fox 2.

Re: Review: Rock Band 4 (PS4)

Crimson_Ridley

No practise mode is a massive oversight, and quite literally puts me off of getting the game. I'm an Expert level player that FCs songs, so practise mode is a MUST for the game.

Re: Fallout 4 Features More Voiced Dialogue Than Any Other Bethesda Game

Crimson_Ridley

I agree with the article, I do hope they hire more voice actors. Oblivion stands out as one of the most immersion-breaking games when I literally spoke to 3 people in one area and they all had the exact same voice. Hell, they could even change voice after their main dialogue, when you would get the random lines from talking to them again.

Re: Rev Your Engines for Mad Max's Exclusive PS4 Content

Crimson_Ridley

Console exclusive content has always been stupid, and not consumer-friendly. Console exclusive games, designed by first-party companies? Fine, no problems there. Extra content that dictates which console you have to buy for? Not fair.

Now I know that a little bit of DLC is not really a big deal in the long run, but it's an opposite of what many humans fear; missing out. We like to know what is going on, we like to be involved, and we like to get our packages complete. It's like buying a book that is missing a page; even if that page is just a foreword and has no bearing on the story itself, if we know that page is missing, we don't have a complete book.

The other thing I don't understand is why it needs to affect PC as well? This stupid console war is between Xbox One and PS4, why does PC have to suffer as a result?

Re: There's a Big, Fat Typo on the Metal Gear Solid 5 PS4

Crimson_Ridley

@get2sammyb Oh, certainly, a typo is a typo, but I wouldn't consider it a major typo in the way the author considers it. He made out like it was a huge typo that nobody should ever make, because it's apparently the easiest word in the world to spell. When Capcom screwed up with the Resident Evil Revelations 3DS cases, that was a big typo, because it's an easy word to spell, molybdenum is not a word you say or spell very often.

Regardless, a typo is a typo and they should take more care when printing it on a console, but I just found the tone a little pedantic.

Re: Reaction: Xbox's E3 2015 Attempts to Block PS4 Upgrade Path

Crimson_Ridley

I couldn't care less about backwards compatibility. I have over 20 consoles in my games room, if I want to play the 360, I'll just pop the disc in to my 360.

It was a very good showcase, and it's about time they showed the fans that they still care. Being backed in to a corner brings out the best in something. I have an Xbox One already, and it's nice to see a few new exclusives to play. Though, a lot of them are coming out on the PC, which I'm heading towards making my main system as soon as my graphics card arrives, so it doesn't matter too much to me.

As for Sony's conference? I'm not getting my hopes up. Destiny and Morpheus? I may as well not even bother watching it. I'd rather see what EA are doing.

Re: Get a Better Look at Fallout 4 with These High-Res Screenshots

Crimson_Ridley

I looked at some screenshots over on Reddit today that didn't have all the YouTube compression, and I must say, I needed some water to help wash down my words that I had to eat. It does look really nice, looking at it how it's intended to be looked at. I still think the animation is wonky, as it is in The Witcher 3, but I know when I've been shown.

Re: Rumour: Fallout 4 May Usher the Apocalypse in 2015

Crimson_Ridley

I hope so, because I'm not interested in Black Ops 3, and have lost interest in Battlefront (I want it to be awesome, I'm certain it won't be), and will be buying Syndicate. Fallout 4 will be the most exciting release, in an otherwise not too fantastic calendar of releases.

Re: Crikey, Fallout 4 Is Already Available for Pre-Order at a Decent Discount in the UK

Crimson_Ridley

Come on, is there anybody that ever pays more than £40 for a standard edition copy of a game? If you do, then you're a fool. I know £60 is the new RRP, but other than Grainger Games and GAME, nowhere is going to charge you that much.

I'm hoping for an awesome collector's edition though, as I missed out on the last 2. I better finish The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne before this comes out, else I won't get back to them for weeks!

Re: This Guy Is Better at Bloodborne Than You Are

Crimson_Ridley

This guy is awesome! I've just picked the game up, finally (I found a mint condition Nightmare edition, which I had been looking for for months) and it's kicking my arse. I haven't played a Souls game since I got the Platinum on Demon's Souls, and haven't put much time in to Dark Souls 1 & 2, so I'm really rusty. Loving the game though!

Re: Take-Two Boss Says PS4 Hasn't Hit Its Full Potential

Crimson_Ridley

@BAMozzy - Too many people are ignorant to this kind of stuff. All I hear is that the consoles are underpowered, but it's not true. As time goes on, developers get more comfortable with the technology, more potential is unlocked through usage of the devices in different ways we'll certainly see games that completely blow us away. The consoles aren't underpowered, they're just getting started.

Re: First Impressions: The Witcher 3 May Be One of the Best Games on PS4

Crimson_Ridley

@Aslanmagic Splatoon has been a very difficult decision for me. When they announced it, I got really excited about a new Nintendo IP, and thought it looked like a lot of fun, so I pre-ordered it as soon as I could. I've just cancelled my order, after thinking about it for quite some time, and deciding that as I don't have any friends with a Wii U, I wouldn't get a quarter of the enjoyment from it, and I'm not really a multiplayer gamer anyway.

Re: Feature: How Does The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Look and Run on PS4?

Crimson_Ridley

Only a couple of days to go! However, I'm about as confident in GAME's ability to deliver on time as I am that we'll ever get a new Clock Tower game (I loved that series!), especially after they canceled my CE order the first time. I'm expecting to pay the game sometime next Thursday.

I'm still annoyed that the X1 got exclusive physical content though, even if it's not fantastic stuff, it still sucks I had to pay full price for what is effectively a lesser CE.

Re: Sony's Seemingly Forming a Fresh First-Party Studio for Project Morpheus

Crimson_Ridley

I'll have to check .hack out as I do like SAO and I'm not ashamed to admit it, just because anime elitists have a big vendetta against it (I don't know about here, but it was despised on another forum I was on). As for Morpheus itself, I have zero interest and think it's a waste of resources. While the gimmick sounds cool, it's nothing more than that, a gimmick. I'll happily sit in front of a TV for hours and play, but VR would only hold my interest for 20 minutes at a time.

Re: Feature: How Does The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Look and Run on PS4?

Crimson_Ridley

@mitcHELLspawn I was talking to everyone that constantly makes these comparisons and has to shove down everyone's throats that PC gaming is better. I know the PS4 isn't the best platform, as the PC is better. In fact, it annoys me that the next-gen isn't really a step up from last-gen, but the internet is so annoying with it's constant PC master race talk.

Re: Feature: How Does The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Look and Run on PS4?

Crimson_Ridley

Yeah, yeah, the gaming PC debate really is getting old. I've almost built my PC but I won't be banging on about playing games on it, because only you yourself really cares. It's a PS site, stop trying to sour everything with the "PC is better" spiel. Of course it will run better on a PC, I'd be shocked if it didn't, this article is about how it runs on the PS4. I'm happy to hear that it's a decent runner, as I was starting to get concerned that there were going to be some major problems.

Re: No, We Don't Fancy Committing Suicide with Project Morpheus Either

Crimson_Ridley

I really struggle to find virtual reality interesting. I'm more than contempt with sitting on my couch playing a game with a controller in my hand. Too much emphasis is being put on virtual reality headsets these days, and it's just going to be years of crappy prototype games getting used to it that the gaming world could end up sucking for a while. This kind of evolution isn't necessary, in my opinion.

Re: The Escapists Flee to PS4 from 29th May

Crimson_Ridley

The Escapists is great on the PC, but I do agree that it's a perfect fit for a handheld. It's a shame that because there's not much money to be made on the Vita anymore that games like this are going to skip it. As long as Japan doesn't forget about it.
