We're sure that this won't go down well with some particularly hardcore Gothamites. Batman: Arkham Knight, the latest in the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham games, has been delayed - but only by a couple of weeks.
Originally slated to release worldwide on the 2nd June, the Dark Knight's adventure will now begin on the 23rd June instead. The news comes after rumours of a Batman Arkham remastered collection coming to PlayStation 4 at some point this year, which apparently will include the first and second titles in the series.

While it's disappointing to hear the game has been delayed, it works in my favour. ComicCon is in May, and it'll be an expensive trip for me with all the merchandise begging to be bought. Batman will now come out after the following pay day, so I can spend even more at ComicCon!
Did you see the new gameplay trailer?! Fantastic stuff! It's very familiar, with the UI and counter icons, but the game looks so different in comparison to the other titles. I'm going to be so excited when I get my hands on it!
I'm not sure whether this works better or worse for E3 to be honest. Either way, June is going to be a horrible month that I don't want to talk about.
A few weeks I'll live. I'm so hyped for the game. This better not end up like AC Unity as in being a broken game. I don't want excuses I want quality and my money's worth.
I havent even checked what will be releasing in June, my wallet trembles.

Hmm well if they are releasing a PS4 version of the first two Arkham games that would be nice. I played and beaten both on the 360 but no longer own them. Would be nice to have the whole collection on one system.
Now I need to wait even longer for my precious collectors edition batmobile.
Of corse it's delayed, why the hell not? Just like The Witcher 3 has been delayed a billion times, and Uncharted has been pushed back the games I was most looking forward to. And of course this one comes right after another damn remaster is announced. MK X is next to be delayed, I say before March ends, but maybe they can 'remaster' 9 to do us all a favor. I'm done getting hyped.
Two weeks barely sounds like a delay. What can get done in two weeks? Is this being delayed because of other games? To get it done after E3?
Good, I need to buy a sh*tload of other games and 12 new Star Wars and Minecraft Lego sets around that time. 2015 is so expensive...

There's no way that's the official release date. With the way WB has been delaying games, I'll be shocked if this is on shelves in June. If I had to guess, at E3 Rocksteady will say 'we need a little more time' and push it to October then when that gets close it'll be moved to spring 2016 but to make up for it we get an awesome remastered collection.
One thing is certain, there's no way in hell that MK X, The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight all release before August and given how this gen has turned out so far, even less of a chance all 3 of those make it to shelves in 2015.

The delay must be because of the Remaster collection, and besides at least it's only three weeks instead of five months .
tbh I still think it'll be delayed again till autumn.
The delay is not that long. I won't consider this a big deal unless it gets pushed back yet again. However, delays are exactly why I don't pre-order.
Good, delay it until it is ready. I don't want a repeat of Arkham Origins.

DriveClub delayed 11 months and still a broken mess on launch. The Order was delayed and it did nothing good for the game. Bloodborne announced at E3 for early 2015, hit its release date and is the best exclusive and could be argued best game on either PS4 or X1 to this point. So yes, in fact, a good studio can and will deliver on time. There was no way Rocksteady was ever going to hit that October release date last year, but it is a good development house and there's no reason it should be missing June of this year. This delay is so they can set up another delay to be announced at E3 so WB can sell remasters and that's bullcrap. Speculation on my part sure, but given how this gen has played out, it's not unfair speculation and just because you don't agree with the anger doesn't mean its 'whining.' I try to be respectful of other people's opinons around here. I don't go on here cursing out other users or calling them some words that I saw I was called the other day that I won't repeat for fear of a ban. I'm getting a little sick of not getting the same courtesy. Don't have to agree with me, I'm all for debate, but the cyber bullying and baiting by people is starting to tick me off because there's no way to be able to respond like I should be allowed to (probably the only good thing about youtube is the lack of censorship). I'm not leaving the site on my own so if you and others want me gone to get rid of the 'whining' use the ban hammer.

They complain when a game is delayed and they complain when it's released broken. Honestly I am just getting tired of people thinking that these companies owe them something that's all. I apologize if you think that was aimed at you, but it wasn't.

@sinalefa - I can't remember if I forgot about X yesterday or I was just thinking in the west. And I was thinking really hard b/c I know there must be some games, like Lego Jurassic Park, that probably have dates, though I'm not sure if June 30 is a placeholder since it's on a Tuesday. Splatoon in May isn't a date. I'm not even sure if Mario Maker is retail or download only. And I'm pretty sure Ntnedo is holding onto Yoshi's Woolly World like it's The Last Guardian, over 2 years for a 2D platformer is too long. And Nintnedo said it would release in Q1, which ends in 7 days.
