Re: Report: PS5's Price Could Be $50 Cheaper if You Go for the Digital Edition

Crimson_Ridley

Save £50 and buy a console that locks me out of lending and borrowing games, makes buying Collector's Edition games more expensive (having to buy a digital version if the CE comes with a physical disc), and games cost more than they do in the shop?

Or spend an extra £50 to be able to buy physical and digital, and not be limited in any way, as well as being able to trade in my physical games if I wanted to?

Option 2 for me, please!

Re: UK Sales Charts: The Last of Us 2 Is Sony's Fastest Selling PS4 Game Ever in the UK

Crimson_Ridley

@Kafkaesque
Equally as interesting as you failing to mention it's only at a JB Hi-fi and is an isolated case (Edit: Also, there's no confirmation that it's just TLoU2, as the sign says "games" and other than hearsay from people saying it's only on that shelf, zero confirmation from the store). Many stores refuse to accept trade ins of games if they have too many, FIFA games and other sports titles, for example. But that's not relevant to your crusade is it? Do you have nothing better to do than follow this game around and moan about it? Just go enjoy the games you do like.

EDIT: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/pages/games-trade-in-disclaimers

Oh look, it's all games.

They crave the attention. It is the "in" thing to hate right now, so though they pretend they don't care, they need to keep it going to give them some meaning in life.

These people are probably the same people that say "So fed up, don't even want to talk about it" on Facebook, then requests every reply inboxes them. It's like oxygen to them.

In the Anfield screenshot, the woman in the green jacket with the sleeves rolled up, to the left of the word Museum and facing towards the camera, is also in the crowd underneath the Liverpool emblem to the right, and again 3 people to the left of the first version of her. 😂

EDIT: Bloody hell, there's a 4th version of her further left to that, stood with her back to the camera!

I just don't see the reason not to be civil. The world is way too angry lately, and it seems like we've grown so accustomed to it that we actively seek out more things to be mad at.

I just like that we can have different opinions on something, voice those opinions, and not resort to attacking each other over them. It's refreshing, so thank you.

Re: Random: Fans Are Going Crazy Over The Last of Us 2's Rope Physics

@Nepp67
That's perfectly fine. I've been playing it for hours and I'm loving it! I know so many people believe an agenda is being pushed, and all that jazz, but that's just a reflection of their own personalities.

Regardless, that's neither here or there, and not important. You should come to your own conclusions, and if the game isn't for you, then just keep the first game in your heart and forget this one.

Re: Weirdness: Sony's Spider-Man PS5 Trailer Pulled from YouTube Due to Gameloft Copyright Claim

Crimson_Ridley

I used to feel that people sending those "send this to 10 people or you'll have bad luck" messages was the most annoying thing on the Internet. Now it's people spamming TLoU2 on articles that have absolutely nothing to do with it. Change the record, ya boring!

I find it incredibly amusing that a series that Sony has a lot of control over has been copyright flagged, although I'm sure I read a few years ago that UMG copyright claimed a music video from the official band signed to their label! 😂

Re: Random: Fans Are Going Crazy Over The Last of Us 2's Rope Physics

Crimson_Ridley

There is a little bit of clipping when they wrap it around the doorway and the window, as it clips in to the ground and through itself a little bit.

Still, it's incredibly impressive, as only a few years ago games couldn't get bedsheets to look right. 😂

Every game I play, I find the first mirror and see if there is a reflection. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I saw the first mirror in this game! 😁

Re: Media Molecule Pays Tribute to The Last of Us 2 with Gorgeous Dreams Animation

Crimson_Ridley

That's awesome, and always nice to see other developers do this!

Side note, the Disintegration ad that is currently running is making articles incredibly tedious to read on mobile, gets stuck because it thinks you're trying to scroll through the bits on the ad itself, and even cuts in to the text at the top of this article. For me, the article starts "the game has finally released". Any chance you could look at this?

Re: Of Course The Last of Us 2 Is Being Review Bombed

Crimson_Ridley

@Kidfried Whilst I agree that some people feel excluded, it also happens to white, straight males. I've been called a girl for having long hair, I've been told I'm not manly for being sensitive and of a slim build, for example.

People also start to take it too far, and vilify us because we are what we are, and try and push that LGBT is what we should all be. There's trying to be included, and then there's excluding everyone else.

Just like you can argue there isn't enough representation, I can make the argument that it isn't exactly one-sided. I'm definitely not saying that everyone does this, but not everyone is trying to exclude you.

Re: Of Course The Last of Us 2 Is Being Review Bombed

Crimson_Ridley

If games are now scored based on story, why doesn't every multiplayer-only game get an instant 0? Story can factor in to enjoyment, but gameplay, mechanics and playability is the most important.

It's not up to you how a story is told, unless you wrote it. If the story contains elements that you don't agree with, voice those concerns but don't demand they change. Vote with your wallet. Review bombing does absolutely nothing, except make you look extremely childish.

I know there's going to be stuff in this one that I don't agree with, and I can perhaps see myself not replaying it as much as the first, but that's OK, because the first game hasn't gone anywhere. If I don't like it, I'll move on from the series and find something else. I don't like the new Final Fantasy games much, but that doesn't change my love for the old games, if anything, I appreciate them even more.

I would be disappointed, sure, but their chilli isn't the only chilli I could eat, as great as it was before. There's plenty more chilli to seek out, and though I'd definitely miss my favourite chilli, in time I'm sure I'd find another that I like.

I couldn't demand the restaurant make the chilli that I want if the restaurant wanted to take their chilli in a different direction. I could review their new chilli or not buy the chilli to show them that I'm displeased with the new direction, in the hopes that in the future, it may make an impact, but it's still their chilli to make.

Side note, all this chilli talk has made me very hungry. 😂

Re: Play Has No Limits Is the PS5's Official Slogan

Crimson_Ridley

@nessisonett
Definitely, and I hope they keep it up with this generation. There's always that little bit of doubt that now they're on top again, like with the PS2, they'll make similar mistakes.

Though, I think Sony have learned a lot with the PS3 and success of the PS4 that they'll not allow themselves that mistake again.

Re: Guide: The Last of Us - Full Story Recap

Crimson_Ridley

@MightyDemon82

I always think this. It's ND's story to tell, they owe us nothing. People always go on about having your own opinions, but try and stifle creativity and demand changes when it doesn't match up to their own ideas.

If you don't like the direction a story is taken, or if your favourite band has changed their sound, don't follow them anymore, and let new fans appreciate it. I'll make my own judgements on the story at the end of the game, and if I find that I didn't like it, I'll respect ND for their approach and move on.

Re: Poll: How Much Do You Think the PS5 Will Cost?

Crimson_Ridley

PS5 - £549
PS5DE - £449-£479

Those are my predictions. I don't think the DE will be too much cheaper, but then as Fuzzymonkeyfunk mentioned, they may be willing to take a large loss on the system with the intentions of making it back through digital sales.

Also, Pushsquare, embrace your country and give us the UK prices. Let the Americans do currency conversion for once. 😂

Re: PS5's Media Remote Is Super Slick, Includes a Microphone

Crimson_Ridley

@Shinobi1Kenoby
You said everybody wants dark consoles, and white consoles always yellow. I was the contrarion that is saying that not everybody wants a dark console, and white consoles don't always yellow. I'm certainly not the only outlier to this fact either.
You can have your opinion, but generalising just looks bad on you.

Re: PS5's Media Remote Is Super Slick, Includes a Microphone

Crimson_Ridley

@Shinobi1Kenoby "Everybody". I'm afraid you're looking at the one person that loves white consoles, and will happily sell an ugly horrible black console towards a white one when it's released.

Never had any issue with yellowing either. I even have a Super Nintendo that hasn't yellowed that's been in the family since 1992.

Also, not a mormon. Generalising is great, isn't it?

Re: Can PS5 Go On Its Side?

Crimson_Ridley

The design looks even better on its side. I always have my consoles on their side, so this is awesome!

I would have loved if the Playstation logo on the top could be turned, the same as the PS2 so you can orient it depening on how you have the console.
