We don't often ask for your help here at Push Square Towers, but occasionally we need a bit of feedback to make sure that we're all on the same page. Our previous reader survey was a resounding success – thank you to everyone that took the time to fill it in – and we've been using the data to help make the site a better place.
But we're not finished just yet.
For those of you that don't know, we're part of Gamer Network, which means that we're allied with household names such as Eurogamer.net, USgamer, and VG247. While this means that we occasionally get to spend time working in the same room as scribes that we admire, it also means that we have a unique opportunity to grow the site beyond our wildest dreams.
And we need your help to do that.
Gamer Network has launched a survey, and we need your responses. The data collected will not only directly influence Push Square, but also the entire network's direction. This is what's commonly known in the industry as a 'big deal', then, and we'll forever appreciate your five minutes should you decide to click through this link and check a few tick boxes.
Don't worry, this is not one of those laborious National Rail questionnaires – it's got queries about membership programmes, review scores, and more. Any information that you submit will be done so anonymously, and it will help us to understand better the type of people that are kind enough to spend their spare time on these hallowed pages.
As always, thank you so much in advance for all of your help – we do appreciate it. Help yourself to a gold star on the way out!

Done
@Mrskinner Thank you very much!
Done as well...
...Now wheres my Gold Star
@BAMozzy
I already did it at NL, so I won't do it here or in PX.
@get2sammyb Thank you
Done and I hope this never happens...
"Would you consider paying a mandatory subscription fee to read your favourite gaming site?"
Done, now how about that star
@Splat
Done, and yup Splat, saw that too and thought the same thing. Rarely comment, but visit Pushsquare every day because I think it's great, but no way I'd pay for it in any way, shape, or form.
I took it. Hands down the best gaming website, PushSquare/Nintendo life.
@Neillybhoy77 @Splat Don't worry, there's nothing like that in the pipeline here. Remember this is a network-wide survey, so applies to all sites - not just ours.
Thanks everyone for filling it in.
I did it here to balance out @sinalefa
Owatta (done).
@get2sammyb
Thanks for clarifying mate. Love the site as I said so this is good news! 😀
done it , but don't like my catergory for Q.41 and where is the "not nearly enough" in the drop down box for Q.43 ?!
Done! Happy to help the best gaming website
So now where is my gold star?
I had to say I don't plan on buying any consoles or accessories cause I just bought everything I want. 😬
Did it.
Some questions I had no idea what to say, but I'm game if it helps the site.
Filled it in too. I also wouldn't subscribe to the site(s) if it was mandatory but I would consider a subcribtion if it offered good enough perks (be able to customize, community events, guest articles etc)
Done.
Done. I honestly like how the site is, hope is not gonna change radically! I would just like to have a more active user community, Nintendolife is so full of.... life compared to this one.... ok, maybe it is just that on ps4 we have toomany games and no time to start talking....
I'm surprised this survey actually worked on my iPad.
Done (did it for but pushsquare and nintedolife but ticked the box for pushsquare.)
@arnoldlayne83 The community gets more active all of the time, we just need to keep inviting more people to join us. Nintendo Life's set a very high bar for us, but that's a good thing, because we know what's possible.
Why was one of the questions about new boxed games?
Could not answer as I have been Going all Digital (like convenience and no discs to lose or scratch)
Also, pre-order question made me sad 😭 that going digital PSN becomes you're only option and you miss out on exclusives.
Physical still has better incentives than digital.
Did it!
Done. Is it just me or are surveys enjoyable?
@BetweenTheTrees Yeah, I enjoy them too.
@get2sammyb
Damn.. All this trouble just to find out how much we make a year!? You could've just asked Sammy! You and the crew demanding more than free coffee and some Amazon gift certificates every Christmas now, do we?
"Boss.... Here's what our readers get for reading the sh*t we write while working! How is this fair??"
Language - get2sammyb
Done.
I've never had a national rail questionnaire, where can I get one...
@Boerewors Haha! Just to be clear, we had no involvement as far as the questions in the survey go - this is a network thing.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi If you're super lucky, they sometimes hand them out on the train.
@get2sammyb I know a conductor, I'll have to get one along with some free mini packets of biscuits
I feel like I contributed to something yay
Done
Done, I wouldn't mind paying, primarily due to the quality of the site and if it went towards some kind of push square get together / piss up then that would be great. But secondly if it meant an end to those links saying this mans muscle secrets, or beach body in minutes, I would pay right now!!!
Why is there a dropdown box for a yes or no question...
@themcnoisy "Personal trainers don't want you to know this secret."
Why no John Bull instead of Uncle Sam?
Done. Can I has a Purple star?~
Done it for you guys. I'm actually a fan of optional subscriptions to a site, as I've done it for Xbox Achievements and True Achievements in the past. I like the idea of offering my help in keeping the site running through a monetary solution, and that I'm never forced to do so if I can't afford it, but can still view the content on the site.
There, I've submitted it.
Don't ever ask me for anything else again! /s
Done. But may I ask why I didn't see Pure Xbox mentioned in the survey like your other two sites? Is it because I'm really tired? X_X
I'm guessing because NintendoLife and PushSquare are much more popular?
@get2sammyb everytime i am talking about ps4 games with my friends I always spam your articles around! definitelyvthe best place to keep updated on ps world!
@get2sammyb haha that's the one.
Done. While I'm against a mandatory fee (glad to read nothing like that is in the works for PushSquare) I'd definitely consider an optional subscription, for the right price, if it helped make the website even better than it already is.
Done.PushSquare is good,Enough said.
Happy to help out.
"Would you consider paying a mandatory subscription fee to read your favourite gaming site?" Personally I wouldn't mind too much. I'd definitely pay for Push Square. I pay 8 or 9 dollars a month for a Netflix subscription, which I really don't use as often as I spend time on PushSquare. But that may be completely different for others.
Done!
I really hope the subscription fee doesn't become a reality, no doubt its in the survey to test the waters and see if its a viable option.Considering other gaming networks like Gawker were raking in hunders of millions of dollars a year in ad revenue, it boggles the mind where all the money is going if a membership option is even being murmered
These sites should be doing more for long term loyal readers instead of considering the notion of showering new readers with benefits for a fee
Darn I already did it for EG those golden stars sooooo call back my long lost youth...
So that was super long :/ lol also you guys lied about the Gold star...
Was doing it on the ps4 browser 2nd page almost done, had to go into my digital games library to count the games I purchased that way came back and the sirvey had reset . So im done ,not going through it again.
A little late, but I took the survey!
In regards to a subscription fee, something like IGN Prime wouldn't be so bad. I'd love a free game every month with more customization options maybe for like $3-$5 a month.
But I'd like GOOD free games, not anything crazy, but not shovelware, ya know?
I did it at Nintendo Life, do I still qualify for a star?
@get2sammyb Survey done, and filled out! Hope it helps you guys!
