Call of Duty is still very much a commercial juggernaut, as Advanced Warfare has outsold the combined first week numbers of Titanfall, Wolfenstein: The New Order, and, amazingly, Destiny in the UK. This data is according to Chart-Track, which also stated that sales of Sledgehammer’s first-person shooter were stronger than those of Call of Duty: Ghosts in its first week – although, the next-gen versions weren’t initially available at launch last year.
Unsurprisingly, given its install base advantage, the PlayStation 4 version of the game sold best, taking 35 per cent of the total units. VideoGamer.com reports that the Xbox One edition accounted for 32 per cent of the sales, despite Microsoft offering an official bundle and securing co-marketing support. Sadly for Sony, the PlayStation 3 release proved the least popular console outing, accounting for just 11 per cent of the total sales.

yawn
Saying it sold better than Titanfall and Destiny combined certainly sounds nice, but Wolfenstein seems like an odd mention, was that a huge seller? Since this is UK only how does that compare to FIFA?
Yep a lot of people on my campus were talking about buying this so I'm not remotely surprised.
@rjejr I believe Wolfenstein topped the charts when it came out, so I guess that's why. No mention of FIFA, sadly.
I find it hard to believe the game is any better than titanfall, I think if bungie hadn't hacked their game to pieces it would have done better,. Destiny is still despite the nonsense a better game.
I'm willing to put a bet that at least a third of the sales were down to the "I'm never buying another COD because (insert any of multiple issues here)" crowd.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I dipped into COD for the first time with Black Ops 2 only because all my friends were playing it. It was ok fun for a while , then came all the DLC i could never really keep up with.... I finally ended up getting all the DLC packs but by the the everyone jumped on board with Ghosts @.@ I had just bought the last DLC pack but no one was playing anymore I told myself I'm not gonna do this again.... So I skipped Ghosts. I thought about getting Advance Warefare as again all my friends are playing, but the thought of another COD probably coming around in another 6 months before I had a chance to enjoy all the expensive DLC is really putting me off...
That's amazingly expected.
Advanced Warfare is also a better game than all of those 3 titles put together, IMO. Titanfall and Wolfenstein were colossal disappointments for me (I always thought Destiny looked bad).
@get2sammyb - Thanks. Wolfenstein topped the charts? Must've been a slow week. I remember that great promo non-gameplay trailer, which was then followed by lots of sub-standard gray FPS stuff. Good for it to be #1, just not something I thought would be worthy of mentioning for bragging rights.
I've disliked CoD since Modern Warfare 2, but Advanced Warfare is a bloody fun game! Sledgehammer should be applauded for injecting some much needed life in to the series again. Still isn't as good as CoD4, but it's one of the best in the series.
Campaign is good , but the multiplayer is terrible , just can't get into it ! Let's hope the next cod is a ww2 game getting bored of this future crap now
Or please make a anniversary COD MW4 hd remake , best cod ever released
Need to slow the gameplay down abit and bring out world at war 2, that is the only way im ever buying another cod.
