It makes me sad to see Persona 3 Reload so low, but it makes me SO happy to see Unicorn Overlord so high on the list.

I must be doing something wrong, because I don't know if I've ever had more buyer's remorse with a console than the PS5. It was fun for about 2 years, but then Sony pretty much stopped releasing first-party games except for played-out sequels and spin-offs, and then they brought everything to PC anyways. Astro Bot and Rift Apart have basically been the only games I've cared about for the PS5. My advice? Take your money, get a device that gives you access to Steam, and get a Switch. You'll be able to play pretty much every game that's on the market, including Sony's games.

I think the vast majority of people who are interested in this game are waiting for it to go on sale, myself included.

For me, it's that price tag. This game will be around $20 in a year or two. I can wait.

Welp, this game is cooked.

This is about as apples and oranges as it gets. It's like comparing an iPad to a desktop.

My hope is that it's a better evolution from Tsushima than Spider-Man 2 was from Spider-Man 1.

Looks impressive, and I'm still 100% not interested in this game.

I'm shocked this isn't an $80 game.

I have never had the desire to play any of the GTA games. I feel like a complete outside with all the hype. I just couldn't care less about the series.

I will go months at a time without playing a game on my PS5... so yeah, the Switch 2 will absolutely become my primary console.

Hell, if it weren't for my PS4 game library, I'd sell my PS5 for the Switch 2.

I'm not surprised by the lack of a physical version. Due to the tariffs, physical media is about to get substantially more expensive in several parts of the world.

I genuinely wish I cared, but I just don't anymore. I've basically lost all faith in Sony's ability to deliver this generation. :/

Enormous is a strong word. 50% of would be enormous.

Not gonna lie, when I got my Steam Deck, I pretty much completed stopped using my PS5.

@AhmadSumadi I'm just being realistic. Sony canceled 9 of their 14 upcoming games, Fairgame$ got delayed to next year, and Marathon was a no-show during the State of Play (and it doesn't help that Bungie is a complete mess behind the scenes). That's why I think the only Days Gone is the only first-party Sony game coming out this year.

@get2sammyb Due to all the cancelation, I genuinely believe that Days Gone Remastered is going to be their only game release in 2025. I think Marathon with get delayed to next year.

It's cute to think that people still believe Sony is going to release anything this year.

This feels like this could've been an update instead of an upgrade.

I thought the show was boring because half of the games shown looked exactly the same to me. Save for The Midnight Walk, Shinobi, and the octopus game, everything just all started to blend together.

Oh wow, I only just now realized that Tides of Annihilation and Lost Soul Aside are two different games. 🤣🤣🤣

I think my problem with the show was that some of the best announcements were for games we already knew about. It also felt disproportionately filled with third-person action games. They all kind of blend together for me. I will say, Shinobi looked good.

Yet another thing that Sony has to catch up to when it comes to Nintendo's creativity and ingenuity in the gaming space.

Oh my gosh. Screw Sony. In one generation, I went from loving Sony to hating basically everything they make and do. Except Astro Bot. That was their one saving grace this generation.

What a great year for Sony. I don't know what could possibly come out this year that would knock the PS5 out of first place in terms of hardware and software sales...

This generation has been so bad that I have entirely lost any faith I had in Sony as a game publication studio. The PS5 will be, without question, the last Sony console I own. I will be gaming exclusively on PC and Nintendo consoles from here on out.

Nintendo won't compete, but Nintendo is going to absolutely floor the competition with their game releases with the Switch 2 generation. Sony was in first place in every regard with the PS4 generation, and now they cannot seem to stop pooping the bed at every single possible chance they can get.

This is my kind of list. I am so bored of AAA games' lack of creativity and originality, and I have virtually no interest in playing GTA 6.

I'm not worried about how powerful Switch 2 will be. I want to know what games Nintendo is cooking up for it, and I have no doubt it's going to be fantastic.

Sony currently has the most powerful console of all time, but they didn't release a single new game for its release. The power of a console has very little to do with how much enjoyment one can have with it.

All I want for Christmas is a 9 iron.

AH HELL YES!! It looks like Astro Bot, Metaphor, Balatro, and Helldivers 2 basically swept the awards, and rightly so. For once, the game awards got it right this year.

Astro Bot or Metaphor should win. Black Myth or Elden Ring will actually win.

I'm not sure I need to play these on PS5 Pro when I in absolutely no way, shape, or form feel the need to spend $800 on this pointless console upgrade.

I'm excited for the Switch 2 and its price announcement. Sony should have to work to try and enter the handheld market again, unlike how they are doing whatever they want without competition in the home console space.

But honestly, who is paying $60 for a Lego game?

The price, though. I can't imagine how much this thing would cost.

I'm playing through P3:R now, and it's a crime that it was completely snubbed. At the very least, it should have been nominated for art direction.

The real snub this year is Unicorn Overlord.

This is really impressive. I couldn't remember if GoW: Ragnorok won or not. Thank goodness it didn't.

• Astro Bot
• Unicorn Overlord

I think he's saying this before he gives FF7 GOTY instead of Astro Bot.

Get ready for these sales numbers to dive off a cliff.

I cannot fathom spending this much money for this marginal of a difference.
