How is "less than 3 hours long" a con? Limbo and INSIDE are both less than 3 hours, and those games are basically perfect. I'm not saying this game is perfect, but I'm getting pretty tired of the only games that get 9/10 or 10/10 on this website, i.e. 20+ hour long third-person action games.

@twitchtvpat Of course I'm not celebrating people losing their jobs. I hate that the awful business decisions of higher-ups and investors are destroying the lives of thousands of employees. I'm grateful that the game industry is shifting away from games-as-a-service. The reality is that if these greedy CEOs and stakeholders would take a pay cut to keep and pay their employees then most of the layoffs from this year wouldn't have happened.

I am so grateful that Sony's plan to focus on live-service games is flopping. Sony and their community needed this to flop. The game industry at large needs this push for live-service games to flop. Live-service games cannot, and should not succeed over focused, creative single-player experiences. I know there are a lot of people who play multiplayer games that will be sad about this, but I am so grateful that Sony and their studios are backing away from this gaming model.

Honestly, why not be an exclusive? Or at least a timed exclusive. Sony has Spider-Man, so why not have some friendly competition? I think it would be fine to have an exclusive for Team Green, and this is coming from someone who doesn't own an Xbox.

I thought his joke was one of the best jokes in the show. I find it kind of odd at how so many people didn't think the joke was funny and got offended. I work in the creative industry, and we crack jokes like this all of the time. It's all in good fun.

@MatthewJP Oh, this is perfect timing for you. Epic gives away 1 or 2 games per week, but they give away a new game every day for the 15 days (15 games total) during December for Christmas. They're usually really great games too. Last year, one of the games they gave away for free was Death Stranding.

@MatthewJP You can't. It's only for PC/Mac/Linux. If you have a computer of any kind then you can claim and play these games.

I let my subscription lapse after the price increase and, so far, it hasn't been a loss at all. I already own Sable, so that wasn't a problem for me. If you're diligent about claiming free games on Epic each week, you already own most of the games that Sony puts on PS+.

Please, oh please let this just be a $10 upgrade like Uncharted 4. If this costs more than that, I can't justify getting it.

I admit that I am the target audience for this product, but $200 is just way too much for a streaming tablet. I'll just be using my phone and Backbone controller until the price of this thing comes WAAAAAAY down.

What Sony really needs is a $10 per year tier that's just online play and cloud storage without including any games.

But really, what is going on at Sony right now behind the scenes? It seems like things are falling apart internally.

The PS5 console? Great. The PS5 exclusive library... kind of mid, to be honest. There's really only 4-5 actually exclusive games on the platform. It's definitely been a let down of a generation for Sony in my opinion.

@Number09 But there's nothing to hack? It's a screen with a controller and a wifi chip. There isn't any on-board storage. That's like you're saying you can't wait to buy a keyboard and mouse for your PC so you can hack them. It's just an accessory.

I can confirm that they have dropped by at least one. Me. I let my subscription lapse this month. It just wasn't worth it to me anymore.

My PS+ subscription lapses this month and, after seeing these games, I don't even care, especially not for the new price point.

I've already canceled my subscription. It lapses next month and I don't even care at this point. $80 as the base price is too high. I've been subscribed for years, but I didn't even hesitate to unsubscribe.

I'm kind of burned out on open-world right now. I'm going to wait until this hits around the $30-$40 range. I played the first game and 100%-ed it. I loved it, but I'm going to hold off for now.

In other obvious news, water is wet.

I justed looked up the steam charts for Exoprimal (which I know doesn't include console players) and it says that Exoprimal has an average of 200 active players on Steam worldwide during the past 30 days... This game is gonna die.

@dnb Honestly, I don't think I am overreacting. I spent $500 on a console that has around 4 exclusive games. Everything else Sony has made for PS5 can be played on PS4 and/or PC. There is literally nothing upcoming from Sony with even a release window except for Spider-Man, and we are 3 and a half years into the console generation. Microsoft has released 3-4 exclusive games this year and Nintendo has released at least 1 or more exclusives games per month. Both Nintendo and Microsoft have released 1st party games this year that are GOTY contenders. Over the course of what has been on of the greatest years in gaming history, Sony has released literally nothing except DLC for Horizon Forbidden West. FFVI is a timed exclusive, so it'll come to all of the other platforms some time next year, plus it's 3rd party, not 1st party. The last 1st party game Sony released was GoW:R, and that was almost a year ago, and it'll probably come to PC next year. Yes, I am disappointed with PS5. Sony has kept their fans and customers in the dark for far too long and all they have to show for it is a price hike for a service that they added zero extra value to and a useless handheld streaming device.

As someone who is looking at starting a career in game design, direction, and production, I am thrilled to be moving forward using literally any tool other than Unity. Have fun rotting in the shallow grave you dug yourself, Unity.

Yeah, there is literally no reason to buy a Sony console anymore.

Oh, my word. This is NOT what Sony needs right now. First. Party. Games. Sony, please explain to me why I need a PS5. I can play these games literally anywhere else. Why Playstation 5?

I'm so glad that Sony's only release this year so far during one of the greatest years in gaming, 1 DLC, is getting a re-release. I was worried Sony wasn't going to show up for this generation. 🙄

@invictus4000 It doesn't use bluetooth. Sony is using a proprietary wireless audio chip in the Portal that is ONLY compatible with their PS5 headphones.

I cannot believe how many people in this chat still think that there is bluetooth in this device when Sony clearly stated that it does not have bluetooth. There is no bluetooth.

@Luigia Dude, you've commented on, like, 10 different posts telling people that there will be Bluetooth in this device. There 👏 is 👏 no 👏 Bluetooth 👏. You cannot just "turn it on later." That isn't a thing. That's buying a regular desk and saying you're waiting for Ikea to add standing desk features to it later.

@Luigia @pumpkin_head So, as far as we know, this device does not have Bluetooth whatsoever. There would have to be a Bluetooth chip in the device included on the motherboard, which this does not have. The Switch always had the chip and that's how they were able to "turn it on" with a firmware update.

@IronMike It'll be the same-ish as a dualsense controller, so expect between 3-6 hours, but that isn't taking into account how much volume and screen brightness will impact that amount of time.

This is basically going to function like a WiiU gamepad that only uses wifi. The device doesn't have storage, so there really isn't anything to hack either. It's just a handheld screen with buttons...

@husker42c I couldn't agree more. Sony is headed in a direction I cannot get behind. Live-service games, stupid high pricing tiers, over-priced peripherals, and only around two game releases per year. The PS4 felt like Sony had caught their stride in spades, but this generation has been such a let-down for me. Thank heavens for Nintendo and indie publishers.

I'm out. It's not worth it to me anymore. Sony makes around two games a year, they put out games like this on PS+, and then hike the price. I have other games I'd rather pay than to keep paying Sony to think that this is how they treat their customers. At this rate, there is no chance I'm buying Sony's next console.

I knew this game was going to be special when I first saw the trailer. Seeing as how infrequently PushSquare gives out 9/10 reviews, this game is even more of a must-buy for me.

The people not excited for this month's games are the same people who don't know about Death's Door.

I'm genuinely shocked by how many people in this comments section sound like they have never heard of this game before. It came out in 2014. It has 95% on Steam with over 11,000 reviews.

@get2sammyb Seeing as how Sony is willing to sell the PSVR2 for $550 (more than the actual console) then I have no doubt in my mind that this will be $300+, maybe $250 at an absolute minimum.

That UI is absolutely abysmal. This product feels and looks like an afterthought.
