I'm down for that, it's not something I've thought about but GoW fits that style well. People will not be happy, I'd announce it alongside a more traditional God of War but I don't care, this sounds good.
I'm excited for it, but since it's still a tech demo, I'm going to hold out on believing the full game will be constant 60 on base PS5. When the game does release, it'll likely be a cross-gen game with PS6 anyway. Does look great though graphically.
I really like the voices in Golden but I'm not surprised. I was more surprised they got Troy Baker back for Catherine: Full Body since he didn't return to voice Kanji after Arena, guess being the lead was worth it and it was just a few new lines and not an entire rerecord. Gonna miss the old voices if true, but I'm sure the new ones will be fine.
The marketing was really off-putting for me and SNK games have a soft spot in my heart since my first fighting game was The King of Fighters EX: Neo Blood on the GBA. It will likely be on PS+ sooner or later so I'll play it then.
Not surprising, the way Sony handled the PC launch wasn't the best and Arrowhead Studios didn't exactly hide their disagreements. Best thing for the studio and Sony might lose the devs behind their best performing live service but it's not like Sony are going to be hurt from it.
£45 is a great price. I enjoy the Mafia games, but if it were £60, I'd likely get it later. Now, after waiting to see the state it launches in, I'm considering getting it close to release.
We know Fallout 3 is planned from the leaked documents, so I'm hoping when that comes out they can give us a New Vegas remaster soon after. Frame rate issues and crashes aside, I enjoyed the Oblivion remaster.
Not that surprising, they haven't touched that IP in years, even though an animated Sackboy series that lasts for about 3 minutes an episode would probably be a nice way to get kids interested in the franchise. Hope they return to it one day, but there are other games I want to see revived more.
Indiana Jones was already too expensive for me to buy during the launch window, so it looks like I won't be getting any Xbox-published games at launch then. Oh well, at least waiting for discounts means the games shouldn't be broken at that point.
Ah yes, lay off the Respawn developers, you know, probably the best studio you have going currently. Good job, EA. It's nice to know you'll never change.
@Amnesiac I'd be happy with that, I've mostly read his Spider-Man, which I enjoyed. Even though I never got around to his Avengers, people love it and I do enjoy the 70s/80s decades of Marvel so I'd get it.
@Amnesiac 100%, I know it's a bit of a meme but the swimsuit art is actually quality and having a collection of that would be great. They converted The Savage Sword of Conan well into the Omni format so I'm sure they can make it work.
In an ideal world, the Monster-Sized Editions like the one made for Marvels by Busiek and Ross would still be around. That would be peak.
The Tigereyes Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus Poll is currently available to the public, and Marvel does take that into account, so it's worth voting for it. I'm sure it will happen one day.
Okay, say Oblivion didn't come out this week. You still released against Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which is doing extremely well. So why do the devs think that the people currently playing the Remaster are the same people who were going to play their game?
If this were Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I could understand more since they are both RPGs (a different kind of RPG, but still RPGs), while this is a horror game.
On the bright side though, their complaining has led to me learning about their game, not going to buy it since it doesn't interest me, but I'm sure some people will so there's some marketing for you.
2027 makes the most sense. Rebirth seemed to develop most of the remaining mechanics like overworld travel, so they don't need to focus on that so much, and it hits the 30th anniversary.
The Outer Worlds was a massive disappointment to me, and I feel like it got more praise than it did because it launched after Fallout 76 burned and crashed.
It's got the Borderlands problem with its writing: It tries to be funny, but comedy is so broad that I find it hardly connects with people. I like the themes about corporate greed and the like, so I hope the comedic writing is toned down for this and the gameplay is expanded.
They didn't really market these much, aside from Sea of Thieves, which is still getting updates. The marketing was sites saying these old games are coming which isn't much. I imagine the sales of games released near or on the same day as Xbox would be much better since they can fully commit to a release window on all platforms. And let's be honest games like Pentiment are never going to sell gangbusters, it's just nice to have it on more devices.
I just need to see more about it. Benzies is a great producer but they really need to show more about this and soon, like a 20-minute play session. I'm interested but currently not enough to pick it up on release.
If PlayStation keeps the big blockbusters exclusive for over a year and then release on PC, make the smaller franchises multiplatform by outsourcing them to other studios then I'd be happy with that. Going full multiplatform like Xbox I think would be a mistake but this sounds like a win to me.
Fun trailer, I could watch a sketch show of Troy and Nolan. Games have gotten to a point where they are way too expensive for me at launch but I'm going to get this when the price drops.
Yo, a Clone Wars XCOM game sounds amazing. Something I never thought I wanted but is right up my alley! Obviously it might be something else turn based but that is what I want.
You know The Football Factory but not Kent Paul? Kent Paul debuted in Vice City... GTA VI is in Vice City... that means a GTA VI trailer is dropping soon! Have conspiracy theorists posted that on Reddit yet?
I wanted them to make 3 an addon for 1+2 and do a proper remake of 4, but we get this. I ain't paying for this. If I pick it up it will either be when it's in single digits on sale or given away on PS+. It still might be good but it's not a full remake. Hopefully Skate won't suck so I can look forward to that this year.
My view is this: I love the open goal Tony games like 4, THUG 1 & 2, THAW. This is a joke. I'm sure people will say, "well, I prefer the 2 minute goal format, so I'm happy with this", alright, but that was in those games anyway under the Classic Mode, meaning we could have had the best of both worlds.
So they just took that and left the rest of the game out. That isn't a remake it's more of a map pack than anything. They are using the THPS 1 + 2 engine, so it should play well but it's not just about how the game plays; it's about the design of the levels. Is this surface wall rideable? Does the environmental piece break my manual? Do the grindable pieces flow together? I have no idea about this stuff until the game releases and them cutting corners with 4 means my confidence in them to get it right has dropped significantly.
It might come out great, but if they aren't releasing a full version of 4 then I ain't paying full price for it either and shall wait for a massive deal before picking it up. Simple.
I'll be interested in the collectors edition if it comes with a deck but I still want to see what they've done with the games before giving them my money.
"Fixed". It's still not in great shape, but there's only so much they can do with the broken port. L.A Noire was ported well though, no issues with that; hoping for a GTA IV port at some point, even a re-port for PC would be nice.
The most interesting part of this for me isn't the Sonic part, but that it's now possible to port any 360 game to PC over time. If I can finally play Fable 2 and Saints Row 1 on PC, then that would be great!
Love stuff like this. Just finished KCD2 today and I'm itching for more. Whatever is next for Warhorse after the DLC better take less than 7 years like the gap between 1 and 2. I need more of this in my games.
I don't know enough about Fairgame$ but with Payday 3 falling flat on its face, this has a better chance to capture fans of the heist genre than Concord did with hero shooters.
But then again, why would you move on from Payday 2, which already has years of support behind it? If this is an always-online game, will a PSN account be required for PC players? They won't be happy with that, especially with the recent blackout.
We shall see. I still find it odd that the Jade Raymond game is a live service and not a single-player game.
I was going to pick them up, but the price is too high for the few fixes they've applied, so I'll just wait until there's a sale. I'd love an emulation of Bustin' Out or Urbz on PS5 but I don't see it happening.
100% I'm getting these when they release on PC but I'm still holding out hope for a version of The Sims 3 that runs well. I also hope that they are reasonably priced.
