Re: Persona 4 Remake Inevitable as Voice Actor Mentions Project

AinsleyE

I really like the voices in Golden but I'm not surprised. I was more surprised they got Troy Baker back for Catherine: Full Body since he didn't return to voice Kanji after Arena, guess being the lead was worth it and it was just a few new lines and not an entire rerecord. Gonna miss the old voices if true, but I'm sure the new ones will be fine.

Re: This Is One Way for PS5 Sensation Marvel Rivals to Print Money

AinsleyE

@Amnesiac 100%, I know it's a bit of a meme but the swimsuit art is actually quality and having a collection of that would be great. They converted The Savage Sword of Conan well into the Omni format so I'm sure they can make it work.

In an ideal world, the Monster-Sized Editions like the one made for Marvels by Busiek and Ross would still be around. That would be peak.

The Tigereyes Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus Poll is currently available to the public, and Marvel does take that into account, so it's worth voting for it. I'm sure it will happen one day.

Re: Not Everyone Loved Oblivion Remastered's Shadow Drop

AinsleyE

Okay, say Oblivion didn't come out this week. You still released against Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which is doing extremely well. So why do the devs think that the people currently playing the Remaster are the same people who were going to play their game?

If this were Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I could understand more since they are both RPGs (a different kind of RPG, but still RPGs), while this is a horror game.

On the bright side though, their complaining has led to me learning about their game, not going to buy it since it doesn't interest me, but I'm sure some people will so there's some marketing for you.

Re: The Outer Worlds 2 PS5 Gets a Huge Gameplay Debut Ahead of Summer Unveiling

AinsleyE

The Outer Worlds was a massive disappointment to me, and I feel like it got more praise than it did because it launched after Fallout 76 burned and crashed.

It's got the Borderlands problem with its writing: It tries to be funny, but comedy is so broad that I find it hardly connects with people. I like the themes about corporate greed and the like, so I hope the comedic writing is toned down for this and the gameplay is expanded.

Re: Analyst Firm Predicts Some Pretty Unimpressive Sales Numbers for Xbox Ports on PS5

AinsleyE

They didn't really market these much, aside from Sea of Thieves, which is still getting updates. The marketing was sites saying these old games are coming which isn't much. I imagine the sales of games released near or on the same day as Xbox would be much better since they can fully commit to a release window on all platforms. And let's be honest games like Pentiment are never going to sell gangbusters, it's just nice to have it on more devices.

Re: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Fans Sceptical of Seismic Changes to Fourth Game on PS5, PS4

AinsleyE

My view is this: I love the open goal Tony games like 4, THUG 1 & 2, THAW. This is a joke. I'm sure people will say, "well, I prefer the 2 minute goal format, so I'm happy with this", alright, but that was in those games anyway under the Classic Mode, meaning we could have had the best of both worlds.

So they just took that and left the rest of the game out. That isn't a remake it's more of a map pack than anything. They are using the THPS 1 + 2 engine, so it should play well but it's not just about how the game plays; it's about the design of the levels. Is this surface wall rideable? Does the environmental piece break my manual? Do the grindable pieces flow together? I have no idea about this stuff until the game releases and them cutting corners with 4 means my confidence in them to get it right has dropped significantly.

It might come out great, but if they aren't releasing a full version of 4 then I ain't paying full price for it either and shall wait for a massive deal before picking it up. Simple.

Re: Rumour: One of Sony's Last PS5 Live Service Games Fairgames Out in 2026

AinsleyE

I don't know enough about Fairgame$ but with Payday 3 falling flat on its face, this has a better chance to capture fans of the heist genre than Concord did with hero shooters.

But then again, why would you move on from Payday 2, which already has years of support behind it? If this is an always-online game, will a PSN account be required for PC players? They won't be happy with that, especially with the recent blackout.

We shall see. I still find it odd that the Jade Raymond game is a live service and not a single-player game.
