Control 2 and the Max Payne remakes should be the next two games Remedy releases, as the Finnish developer details how the projects continue to reach development milestones in a new financial report.
In the case of Control 2, the PS5 sequel is "on track", and the team is currently focusing on the "gameplay, environments, and missions. Work continues on developing the game into a strong commercial offering." The remakes of the first Max Payne and its sequel, The Fall of Max Payne, meanwhile, are in "full production".

The report continues: "In the second quarter [of 2025], the team built on steady momentum from earlier in the year." The collaboration with Rockstar Games is said to still be "close and productive", and the project as a whole is now closing in on its "next major phase".
As for Remedy titles currently on the market, the original Control has now surpassed five million sales, and Alan Wake 2 has "continued to sell steadily and accrue royalties". The publishing, distribution, and marketing rights of Control have been transferred to Remedy from 505 Games, which means sales are now fully driven by the developer.
2025 also marked Remedy's first self-published game, the multiplayer spin-off FBC: Firebreak. It says it's "unsatisfied with the launch-phase consumer sales", and most of its "commercial performance" has been driven by positioning on PS Plus Extra and Xbox Game Pass.
