A rare PS5 DualSense controller has been "completely destroyed" whilst in transit, it has been revealed.
The controller was purchased by Console Variations, a site devoted to documenting rare video game hardware, for $1,300 on eBay.
According to the site, the 'Alpine Green' (also referred to as 'Jewel Green') controller was available exclusively at the eSports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, which took place in July of this year.
It is estimated that only a few thousand units were ever produced.
Judging from the photos supplied by Console Variations, the pad was boxed pretty securely, which suggests someone at PostNL was particularly heavy-handed with this delivery. Oops.
