Yeah I've seen PostNL in action filling the trucks at a pick up point near me. That delivery guy liked to throw the packages in his truck. He didn't seem to enjoy the job. Luckily it never happened to one of my packages.

Looks like an insurance scam to me, a controller wouldn’t get that damaged in transit.

They are currently on sale on ebay for £260 ($352) who would pay $1300!!!

Most carriers have insurance which covers these types of expenses.

Going to tell a little secret here. I used to be a mailman in America in Colorado. One of the first things we did every day was help the clerks "sort" packages by separating them by route to put in large green carts. Except, we didn't place them, we literally called it throwing packages, and it was not unlike playing basketball shooting the packages in the carts. Sad to see this. I had something similiar with TSA. When my dad died, we split up his stuff and one of the things I was given was an old Incan statue that had been passed down for generations in my family. It was enclosed in a glass tube like case. I had wrapped it really well in a suitcase, and when I got home, the glass was broken and the statue had a piece chipped off. Tried to file a claim but it was denied. The lack of care a lot of our governmental services use is unreal.

A cursory eBay glance reveals that this is not a $1300 controller. It's going for a quarter of that. Which is weird because Console Variations is a pretty legit site.

Delivery carrier mistake aside, If i order any item with that price, rare, and they're quite fragile, i would ask the seller to package it inside a wooden box + extra bubble wrap. I don't mind paying more to keep my expensive + rare items safe in the transit. So i question why this Console Variation site doesn't do that...

That price is way too high for a controller and yeah in the background the people who be filling up the back of the trucks do be throwing them. Sometimes the back of the truck be neat and sometimes it be looking like a wild party took place back there 😂😂😂😂

@Steeleye50 Not just governmental. This is typical of all shipping providers. It's cheaper to run everything at max speed and deal with some insurance claims on the other end.

If it's so flimsy that it broke in transit, it was never worth more than £30.

@PS_HCT You underestimate how absolutely crazy these guys can be with packages. Everything i send is in bubblewrap and a special box with extra newspapers as extra. Postal services are the worst.

@slabula I could only speak for the entities I worked for, which was the US Government (I almost became a TSA agent as well as a mailman). But I totally believe that. It's just sad how there is not only a lack of care, but downright intentional mishandling.

@Flaming_Kaiser It’s a scam! Even the broken controller isn’t the same one in the eBay ad, as the “PlayStation Controller – Alpine Green” white sticker that is on the top of the broken controller box is at a different angle to the white sticker in the eBay ad!!

If someone is stupid enough, to pay $1,300, for a dualsense controller, then I can't do anything else, than laugh at this.
