As a person who got a Series X this time round, I'm kinda shocked but not in a 'OMG!' way €40 isn't much in the grand scheme of things. Just.... I feel Sony are loosing out this Gen. I know the Fanboys on here will scream 'You're wrong! PS 4ever!', 'its selling so well!' etc. But so is Xbox and Nintendo, so...

But... I have PS1 to 4, and would always get an Xbox cheap at some point each Gen. But this time round, I got the Series X new instead of PS5 because, and I know this is silly, but the design of the PS5 is manky, I dont want it under my TV at all. I was thinking I'll just wait for a slim/redesign and maybe get one with a big price cut, but thats years away.

I'm all in with Xbox this time round and I'm pretty much Digital now. I have Gamepass which, no matter what fanboys say, is incredible value! I only buy games when reduced massively in price on Xbox, I can play most of my last gen Xbox games with the disc (Sony really need to get on top of this).

I will be buying a few pysical games, Callisto Protocol, RE4R, Dead Space Remake, and some other horror games cause thats my jam.

But right now, PS5 and its franchises, IDK, are just not for me. I have my PS4 to Play TLoU(again), Horizan ZD, SpiderMan, Uncharted etc. Thats fine for me.
My PS1/2/3, I get games really cheap in charity shops here, I just make sure the PS3 games have the latest updates.

And I have my Hacked WiiU and my Switch. I feel I dont need Sony for this Gen and I know I am not the only one this time round.

This price hike, which is not much, will put off a LOT of people (families struggling this Xmas) who dont have a next gen system yet from getting a PS5 now and look at Xbox as their main gen console.

Competition is good guys, its what makes sales. Xbox for this Gen for me. Sony will have to win me (and others back) with some big changes or the PS6 in the future.

@Amnesiac XYZ! Thats one of their more harder tracks, it was from their John Peel Sessions back in 1999. Got an official release in 2019. Glad to know this, thanks man.

I think BoC are well overdue a new album. Its been 9 years. Fingers crossed for next year.

I took the plunge and bought it on Xbox, its on sale there with the pass of €59.99. First game I've bought since Skyward Sword so, gonna get stuck in after work.

And Yes, would Love a remake/remaster collection of Tricky and 3. Wonder if EA could do it.
I think, just update the soundtrack and change the voice actors in Tricky and it should be fine. Would be amazing wouldn't it.

Must be something stopping EA because it would sell gangbusters on everything.

I only heard of this game yesterday with the announcement of the DLC.

At the moment I am obsessed with SSX Tricky on my PS2 again.
Looking for a PS4 or Xbox One game like SSX.... is this possibly a good substitute?

Pride in the west is great, it brings up all the sh*t that LGBTQI+ people go through, but it is MAINLY now to shine light on the countries that are still anit-LGBTQI, which, is a hell of a lot of countries around the world.

I'm gay myself. I'm not big on the parades and stuff. But I totally support it and understand it and think its great that massive companies make the world aware of what people go through.

I SOME HOW managed to avoid all the spoilers and leaks of TLOU2 until release, so this should be a piece of cake.

Is there any word if this is coming to PS4 or Xbox One? I dont plan to buy next gen for another year or two.

Feels like it will. Way too many systems (sales) out there not to.

I think its about time I started 'The Other Worlds' since all the bugs seem to be ironed out in that game now.
Then, in 6 months time, I'll pick up Cyberpunk 2077 for my Xbox One S, since Xbox seems to be the version getting the most promotion at the moment. Might be the best console version.
Might be on Gamepass by then too lol

@Emperor_Rusty yeah that's what I'm thinking, second play through will open her up more for me.
Just felt it was too long of a campaign for her. Maybe if her story was first, or if we didn't know the whole joel story until the end, might have landed better for me.

Still though, loved it!

I think it may be time for my second play through. I really enjoyed it, I get what they were trying to do, but Abby's story was just a little too long for me and I didn't really connect with her. But, the game-play was just awesome.

@Flaming_Kaiser Yup, pretty much after the first year of ps4 games settled into their own price, depending on how big they were I guess.
But around €60 is what i pay for any game on the switch, ps4 or xbox (seldom) for a day one release.
Prices go down at least 2 months after that.
But everyone knows this, so, whats the problem lol

I remember at launch the ps4 games were going for €79.99 and there was OUTRAGE of course, but after the first year the launch prices of games went down to what they are now.#

So, wouldn't worry about the prices of games in the future again. Obviously its a pain in the balls for people who want they system at launch, but them the breaks of early adopters. If you want games on day one in the first year, expect to pay for the privilege (god i hate that word, lol).

As for me, I'm trilled some of these ps5 games are coming to ps4 too. I can hold off for a year or 2 or 3 this gen.

I feel the general public just dont care about new systems right now, so at least the die hards will be able to get next gen if they really want one. Good way to test the waters too.

Now I see new pics (reviewtechusa vid on youtube) have leaked showing that the panels are removable, so you could attach different colours. May work for lots of people and nice little easy money maker for Sony, but its still the design I dont like, so I'll wait for the revision.

This gen, I'm feeling different.

I know its COMPLETELY unimportant.
But, I absolutely hate the design of it and I hate the colour.
I know it will sit under my tv, I (mostly) will not look at the system while playing it of course.

I am going to wait for a proper redesign of the PS5, that may be a few years away. But then there may be a good few 1st party games released that would interest me to pick it up.
Keep it Black, make it slim, or super slim and flat, then I'm sold. Its so superficial, I know.

I feel, like I might go with Xbox next gen. And if the rumors are true that a low budget version (Series S) comes at launch for €200 to €250 (hopefully with a disc drive), I'll go with Xbox. 3rd party tend to get much cheaper on Xbox pretty fast, so, its possibly a good way to start next Gen, save a few quid.

Power isnt everything for me. I still play all my consoles going back to the NES, so....

Why are some people complaining? It's a PS1 original mini. Sure the games look a bit pants now but sure, that's the way they were, I'm sure they will have loads of different settings and filters you can apply to the games.

I for one love the stickless controller, friendly reminder of where the design came from originally, SNES controller 😊.

I love the whole package, can't wait to get it and add to my collection.
I'm sure they will release a ds1 with thumb sticks next year with 20 more games or something, in multiple colours or something, or a PS1 mini, slim?

Then maybe a PS2 mini! They'll prob get that out before Nintendo even think about GameCube on the switch, let alone a GCN Mini.

@WanderingBullet switch is getting the first DQ builders in Feb. No word yet on 2 coming to the west for the switch.

I want to buy it in Feb, but I really don't need it and I have too much in my backlog for switch and PS4 so, I've decided, I'm not buying any new games in 2018. I've enough to keep me going for a few years tbh.

But, if DQ Builders 2 comes to the Switch, I'll bite 😁

Man, I loved Rapture, the soundtrack, felt like I was in a Boards of Canada game or something (aka, gem).

Hopefully they can get things sorted and start anew.

@teatimed just played and finished it today too. Got about 12hours out of it and enjoyed nearly all of it.

Hopefully next year they release a new 'dlc' type Uncharted again. Great fun!

Took me a year ( up to last month) to finish U4, the first half just felt way too long to get started. Went back to it last month and finished it. Second half was better, but was a bit of work to actually enjoy and finish. Bit sad about that.

I did pick up TLL, when I finished U4, but I'm just not ready to go back into that universe just yet.

U2, it's still the best.

Finally!! Been waiting for this since, well, last month when I got the finger out and played it all the way through on psvr. Worth it.

Should I buy the season pass? I've heard mixed things on the dlc that's available at the moment. And there is meant to be more besides this Zeo dlc too right?

So how long will this be an exclusive? Anyone have any ideas? I want this for Switch or PC.
