Back in 2013, then-PlayStation executives Shuhei Yoshida and Adam Boyes made history with a silly little video that made a mockery of Xbox One's much-maligned DRM plans.

13 years later, a lot has changed, and the video has a completely different effect — but it's still an iconic gag.

Well, Yoshida and Boyes are clearly aware of the change in context.

Reuniting at Tokyo Game Show 2026, the pair have recreated the action of sharing a physical game with a friend — except there is no physical game in the picture:

Obviously, PlayStation's call to end disc production in 2028 has been this year's biggest topic, and many have pointed out the irony of the platform holder's old video, which itself was directly dunking on Xbox and the restrictive measures it planned to put on physical games.

It's quite amusing to see the duo revising it with that in mind.
