Will the ps4 ever be able to play disc based ps3 games in the future? Or do they want you to rebuy them all again from psn on the ps4 in the future?
Would it be possible with an update?

@Punished_Boss now take this with a massive truck of salt, as I have, but, I read in the comments section of an ign story yesterday that, The Last Guardian has been stopped development over the past two years and Nintendo have bought up the rights for it to be exclusive to the WiiU.

Hmm, as of this week I have been preordering my ps4 games from Amazon. So even if nothing big is announced at this thing there is so much coming over the next year I'll be kept busy, along with all my WiiU game preorders too

No thanks. I have my vita for all that, which I don't play for some reason much, even though I know there OS loads of games for the system.

Will they faze out the vita with this thing? Hopefully it'll get rid of touch screen games in the future. Can't stand them.

@Picola yeah it's annoying but I guess there is more ps3 in the wild so more sales. At the moment I only buy ps3 versions but that will change next year.

Ah, I don't care lol, I've too many systems! and I just bought alien isolation for my ps3, not even a quarter way through hyrule warrior's, think I have a problem.

I wonder if the ps4 will ever get an update to be BC with ps3 disc and psn.... I can only dream.

and I'm looking forward to them, but, none of which, are out yet, possibly until next year, and its coming up to ps4's first year now or next month. It's not a great launch with ports everywhere of last gen games that only came out last year.

Whereas the WiiU had lots of disc based games out by this stage, but people ragged on it to no end.

Yeah, I get why they do ports for the first year nowadays, but, the WiiU didn't have ports until wind waker, and that was a remake not a port, even if it was a port, it's only one since November 2012.

The games will come for the sisters but it'll take a year more to get them out from now, a while to go.

Poor aul Nintendo, always getting sh*t from the other two, but look at them now and nearly a year in for them.

@BLPs Love my WiiU! Why isn't this 'remake' not coming to the WiiU again? Just looks like the GameCube copy from 12 years ago.

Don't know what I'd do without the WiiU this gen. Ps4 hasn't been turned on since TLoU and even then I was like 'what's the point of this, I have it on my ps3', bloody ports.

If they did remake all the uncharted games, I wouldn't want just a lazy Sony 'up port' like they always do. I want them to do it like Nintendo with wind walker and REMAKE all the games, otherwise there is no point buying a trilogy as I have all 3 and they still look great, not so much the first one but would look amazing with ps4 graphics

@calin1010 that would be brilliant! A 16bit TLoU platformer. Naughty Dog should TOTALLY do it and watch the euro's flood in.

@Reverend_Skeeve I hope it's single player DLC, no intrest in online multiplayer DLC at all. Or just make TLoU2

Hmm, I wonder if there will be NEW DLC only for the ps4 version in the future? That is the only reason I would rebuy this game.

Please make a 2d platformer for the 3ds and vita, would be very different as a side test project for them.

So, this is on sale for €13.49 for the GotY edition on PSN right now. Should I bite? Is it hard to get into? I have a bit of a short attention spa...

It is great news, but does anyone think they will add more single player side missions to the ps4 release to justify buying it? And I dont just mean the 'left behind' DLC, which I would hope they would work into the main game anyway.

Jesus, I really want TLoU2! TLoU is up there with my favourite games ever. first time I teared up from the prologue.

I will watch how this pans out, could tempt me to get a special edition last of us PS4 if that ever happened.

Waiting all day for nintendolife to show the weekly charts and look at that, guess everyone who wants a ps4 pretty much got it at launch. But it still knocked the 3ds off the top spot

@ScreamAimFire99 totally agree with you here. The battery life is so much better and the screen looks great, I got it on launch. Feels excellent! Just need a charging dock for it now.

The price is a joke though.

@rjejr @divinelite cant wait to find out the sales next wednesday too! The Wii U will be left behind for a few weeks and I would think the Vita will pick up a few sales along with the PS4.

Wonder if the 3DS will see a big drop in sales as that has been KING in Japan for nearly a year now.

@Dodoo Ah I am glad to see come coverage of people lining up for the new system. Its make or break time for the PS4 in Jap, but I have a feeling its gonna be a big success there!

Yeah I played Paper Mario a few years back, I enjoyed it but I dont think its worth the (crazy) asking price now. Kinda love Super Paper Mario more lol.
Been on ebay all week, picking up rare games at some amazing prices for the Gamecube, got a few for the PS2 too.

I'm happy with my PS2 for the moment, started to look into collecting for it now along with the Gamecube. Some amazing games I have missed.

Had Preordered this, left for work and I could here the ps3 downloading it, yay. But I'll just have to wait until next week to play as have a busy weekend of drinking and dinners ahead it'll be worth the wait I'm sure

Also @pushsquare , are you guys going to do a review of the Vita Slim? I know there is reviews of the Japan slim but wanna read a review here of the Euro/US models if you guys could do it?

Glob darn it! $199 for the game and memory in the US! I just paid €260 for the slim and 16gb memory but I don't care.

I had one a few months back with the oled screen, yeah it's nice but I think I prefer this new cheaper screen, feels more like a proper handheld now than an exclusive piece of tech for fanboys and girls.

Also, hi all, readyletsgo from nintendolife here. Hoping the relaunch works for the vita, some amazing games on it. And the 3DS needs the competition. Looking forward to reading more on here. I promise never to read pureXbox or whatever it's called lol
