Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 98

readyletsgo

I started Skyrim for the first time 2 weeks ago on ps3, at level 19 and 40hours in. I just can't put it down, it's the version with all the dlc included on disc.

I have XCX, waiting for me to start and I also ordered Witcher 3 last week cause of how much I'm enjoying Skyrim which I thought I'd hate, since it's a massive open world type game. But I think XCX will be played before Witcher 3 gets a look in.

Summon Night 5.

Any word on this coming to the euro psn? Got an email from GAIJINWORKS this morning saying it is coming to the US psn today but nothing about the European release.

And the physical copies are still being pressed so they won't be sent out till the new year.

Re: Sony: We're Not Just Going to Reveal Everything We're Doing

readyletsgo

So, going the Nintendo e3 approach they did this year and just showing what's coming up to now, give or take a few delays into next year (I know). Yeah, Sony, don't ever do that, but I do think all companies should work on games, then, when it's between 2 to 6 months away from release then announce it. Problem is they keep taking about games coming and they don't appear for years (looking at you xenoblade x) just too much of a wait for new games. And people lose interest.

In a way, the less the customer knows about future, future games the more it's a bigger surprise to everyone.

But us gamers are a rough bunch to please and as soon as a game comes out its straight onto the next 'coming soon' (two years from now) release.

I've never played ff7, should I get this or wait till the remake? Is Dark Cloud worth the very high €15 price tag, or should I try find it on disc? ? And Yakuza 5 with small discount, worth it? Any reviews yet?

Sorry for all the questions guys. Only starting to like j/rpg's since I started Skyrim 2 weeks ago so I'm just, don't won't to waste my money, ya know?

Re: The Future of Psychonauts Is in Your Hands

@Churchy agreed. It's a bit of a scam to me to be asking fans of the first game to support this new one. (I get that it's kinda one way to get a sequel to some older franchises that otherwise wouldn't happen, but companies should have fate in a franchise at the end of the day)

I believe kickstarter should only be used by indie devs and the like. Clearly Sony don't think there will be enough interest in a sequel so they test the water this way first, just like Shenmue.

So in that case, I'm going old skool and might pick up a physical copy if/when it's released.

Re: Now Sony's Asking Which PS2 Games You Want on PS4

readyletsgo

@Longaway ' How about I give Sony $20, and they sell me a PS2 emulator on PS4 that I can use my own discs for?'

Yeah, I don't understand why no one on here is asking for this! I don't need trophies, would be sweet though. But yeah, I have loads of ps2 discs, I want to put them into my ps4 and play them there, not buy ps2 digital games on the ps4! For prob 200% more than you'd pay in a shop for a 13 year old game. But who are we kidding, Sony need money and they won't do that.

But if they did, it would be a massive win over Microsoft, who let you use your 360 discs.

Oh well, I'll hold onto my slim ps2 and games.

Re: Push Scare: The Resident Evil 4 Cabin Encounter That Totally Redefined Survival Horror

My all time favorite game ever. Have every version of it, Wii being the best version.

Was playing it on the ps3 yesterday, still amazing!

Never understood why die hard Ressy fans don't like it. It's clearly an amazing game!

Franchise needs a proper real reboot at this stage though. Love revelations on the 3ds and 2 on the ps4. But they are technically not part of the numbered main series.

Any news on when the following will be released as a stand alone download? I'm hearing it could be sometime in October. This true?

Re: UK Sales Charts: Tearaway Unfolded Flops Like Wet Paper

readyletsgo

I totally forgot about tearaway coming out due to looking forward to SMM coming out the same day. BUT, I saw it on gameseek for £29 so I preordered it last Wednesday cause well, Sony's platformer are always good but just don't get the praise Ninty ones get. Can't wait to give it a go. Loved it on the vita.

TLDR? I bought Tearaway and SMM on launch

Re: Shenmue III Causes Spike in Dreamcast Sales

readyletsgo

I got a dirty dreamcast for €20 last Feb. Cleaned it up, good as new. I could play shemnue 1&2 but I'm really holding out for a HD port onto the ps4. I'll wait till next year and if no word of a port then I'll give them a good play through.

Re: Review: Touch My Katamari (PlayStation Vita)

readyletsgo

This is my first Katamari game. I started it and got what I was doing rolling around, meeting the required size of the ball etc but, Idk, every time I went back to the king he just talks and talks, way too much. And meeting other people on his shoulders, or whatever it is, I seemed to run out of people to go into levels so I got lost, couldn't go any further, after about 2 hours, I gave up. I gave it a shot at least.

I have a 'copy' for the psp so I might give that a go and see if it's any better, sadly I don't have a ps2 so can't try the first one.

Re: Review: The Unfinished Swan (PlayStation 4)

readyletsgo

Just picked up a second hand vita (for the 3rd time, I will not sell this vita, promise) yesterday and the first game I tried was this, kept me so captivated for 3 hours, half way through I think so will finish it up tonight. Very calming game must say, as I did try Journey and I just didn't get it, I'll try it again after I finish Unfinished Swan.

Re: Sony: Backward Compatibility Is a Requested Feature, But Not Greatly Used

readyletsgo

One way around this would be to release a super mega slim ps3, size of the tiny psone. With a disc try slide in thing, not a top loader. I have a super slim. I love it and I use it along with my ps4.

I understand they want to make money on remakes etc but there is a small group of people who will always use the original hatdward along with new, like me, so, make a tiny ps3 instead of making the ps3 backwards compatibility on the ps4. More money for them as I'd get one.

Just a thought, it won't happen though.

Re: E3 2015: Sony's Done Making Big Games for PS Vita

readyletsgo

I hope Sony leave the handheld market for a while and just focus on their main console from here on out. They failed bit time with the vita. The market just didn't want a high end mega handheld with home console games at all. I liked the vita, but I never used it so sold it on, but I love my ps4. Stick where the money is Sony.

We'll hear the same thing about the Morphous in 3 years too I'd say.

Re: So, Looks Like Sony's Already Working on the PS5

readyletsgo

Of course they are working on the ps5, same as Nintendo are working on the 'NX' since the day after the launch of the WiiU and MS are working on the 'XB2' since the Xbone was launched.

They all work on different ideas and then bring those ideas together and see what works 2 years (or so) before launch.

But to all 3 companies, keep it simple, I'm looking at you Nintendo and MS, but mainly Nintendo. rolls eyes
