According to a thread over on NeoGAF, the latest issue of Famitsu contains new information on the upcoming downloadable content for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
The Not A Hero DLC, which will star Chris Redfield and is free to all owners of the base game, is set to release on the 14th December according to the leak. Along with that, another piece of DLC, titled End of Zoe, will release on the same day, and it'll take place after the main game's events. The latter will be a paid piece of content, with Famitsu pricing it at 1500 yen, which roughly converts to £10.50.
If you haven't yet bought Resident Evil 7, a gold edition will supposedly launch alongside all of this DLC and bundle up the base game with all its juicy bonus content in one package.

Update: Capcom has confirmed that all of this information is correct following an official announcement. You can find out more through here.

Nice, is it Spring 2017 already?
Not enough snark and sarcasm in the article about a game getting DLC months after release. At least the guy above me is doing his part.
Just bought the game so yep
would love for that End of Zoe dlc to be real. What happened Zoe was one of my biggest questions at the end of RE7
Wow I completely forgot about this.
I was waiting for a GOTY edition and the Gold Edition will be released on the 24th December in Japan; I already have enough sweaters and neckties so I hope EU will get the same release date!
@rjejr Hey, @LiamCroft is a good lad, unlike me and Sammy.
@rjejr I prefer actual DLC over the day-one DLC nonsense. At least this wasn't cut out of the game.
@ShogunRok Do you have Liam on double secret probation?

@Octane I don't think Squenix cut the Assassins Creed DLC out of the FFXV game. Or the Cup Noodle hat. Well ok maybe the cup noodle hat.
might actually get a Gold Edition if we get one
although i'm still not sold on the first person view
@Octane not all DLC is cut from the game on purpose, remember they have a point at when the game goes "Gold" (sent off to be pressed or given to online digital stores like PSN) and this can be months before the release, a lot of DLC is thought up and made during this time
now that isn't to say some publishers don't do it on purpose because i'm pretty sure one like EA or Capcom do (just look at how many of their games used to have on Disc content locked out via DLC
Finally!! Been waiting for this since, well, last month when I got the finger out and played it all the way through on psvr. Worth it.
Should I buy the season pass? I've heard mixed things on the dlc that's available at the moment. And there is meant to be more besides this Zeo dlc too right?
I assume the Gold edition is coming West, right? If so, I'm definitely glad I waited on this. Game + all DLC for one price.
@FullbringIchigo Games usually go gold about a month before release. That's not that much time if you want to develop DLC, from concept to programming, testing, etc. I think a lot of day-one DLC is specifically held back to cash in on all the people that are buying it at launch. Can't trust half the industry these days anymore, no matter what they say.
All I know is that stuff like this feels genuine at least. Just like HZD's DLC. The game was finished, and the DLC is something extra, a new map or mode (or whatever the RE7 DLC is).
@Octane To be honest this was always intended as free DLC so doubt it was cut from the main game on purpose. I think if it wasn't free DLC they'd have pulled their fingers out to get it completed quicker.
Anyway, RE7 is superb. Inside my top 3 games of the year. Still wish they'd got this out in the spring as planned though.
The demo convinced me but the price is still too high for me and I'm busy with Elite and have some backlog so I don't mind waiting for the "complete" version.
@kyleforrester87 I wasn't complaining about the DLC or the contents of RE7.
@Octane I know you wernt. Just saying really that if this was paid for DLC they'd probably have made more effort to get it out in a timely manner. Free is good and all but nearly a year late is too long for this.
I will get the Gold Edition when it is cheaper then.
Awesome. RE 7 was one of the most pleasant surprises for me this year (I was hopeful but didn't expect the game to turn out as well as it did, it's my favorite since Code Veronica) so any reason to revisit is good. Looking forward to both DLCs.
I've been meaning to finish my third Madhouse playthrough to get all the coins, maybe I'll wait until this is closer to release so I have a good refresher.
Still interested for sure but they have taken far too long to release this. RE7 is one of the best gaming experiences in 30 plus years of gaming and all in VR. Never bothered with dlc as not all be compatible with VR which is a real shame.
