Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Metal Gear Solid 5, 10 Years Later?

I remember the day I bought this. I took the day off work, but it was before I was all digital, so I went to the store and they didn't have it. Ended up having to drive between about twelve different supermarkets before I found one that had it.

Then I got it home, started it up, was super into it during the hospital, and then I spent the rest of the day getting increasingly irritated that there was barely any story, and it was just me wandering around strapping balloons to people and doing the same things over and over again in slightly different places on the same map.

Never really got on with this game at all. Gameplay, nice, yeah. But it's just not Metal Gear to me, and if I'm doing a series playthrough I just end it at 4.

I don't know what this is but I'm into it. I don't mind the gacha style as I quite like coming back to do little jobs every day and build towards something. But it's gotta have things I want to unlock. I only play Infinity Nikki (unlock cool outfits!) and Zenless Zone Zero (unlock cool characters!) but the other ones haven't enticed me in.

If the things we're unlocking are cool maybe I'll play it.

Re: Xbox U-Turn the First Step Towards Gamers Rejecting $80 Games

Nintendo can get away with it because Nintendo fans will buy anything. Xbox trying this is a much tougher sell, particularly when their main competitor is holding steady at $70, and double particularly when the game you're introducing the new pricing with is Outer Worlds 2. Still, all's well that ends well I guess. Except for Xbox, who look pretty silly. And Obsidian, who had their game sabotaged by the idiots running Xbox.

For all of the drama surrounding the 1.5 update has it actually made any difference to how many people are playing? I have no idea. I play the game, but I don't really talk to people about it, I don't have friends on there, and I don't dabble in the multiplayer. I just play it on my own, and I'm not in reddit threads talking about the intricacies of the gacha system, so I have actually no idea what the impact has been.

For me it didn't make a difference. I liked the apology currency for the whole thing. I mainly just do my daily stuff each morning.
