So just 1 new stage but 4 new collectibles? People really do like their collectibles, huh.

Twisted Metal and Sonic should have been the last bots added.

But at least Square have finally done what should have been done ages ago.

Aren’t there five new bots? You only listed four.

It's crazy Square even allowed those bots in at this point (especially without charging an insane amount of money) when they initially refused. I was surprised when 2B wasn't even allowed in since they give that character to pretty much anything and anyone. But I'm really happy to see them here now 😁

I haven't tried any of the new stages they've put out since launch (except for the Christmas stage). Sounds like there's almost a whole new game's worth of content at this point!

@JackiePriest yeah, 2B pimping was matched only by Joker from P5.

I haven’t played since I got my platinum last year. How many levels have been added since? Might have to reinstall to do all the extra levels

Awesome to see Cloud and 2B are finally in the game

Once I saw 2B, I knew Cloud would be there at some point. Getting Sephiroth after finishing that hard as hell final level was icing on the cake.

@wildcat_kickz Not really. You could get through all of it in about an hour — faster yet if you aren't going for gold.

I've generally enjoyed these updates, but the Christmas one was really the only substantial stage added.

Probably my favourite platform game since super mario odyssey incredible game ill be jumping back in then and I hope team asobi make another one soon I don't think they will though 😞

The title of the article already spoils who's added for most people. I immediately knew it was Cloud without reading the article at all. The others are a nice surprise, but wouldve guessed they would be from SE titles.

Anyway, good to see the game still gets support with some extra free levels. Hopefully they are also working on a sequel because theres never enough Astro Bot.

Time to revisit Astrobot

The real win is Serge. Chrono Cross is so underrated.

Glad that I didn't have this spoiled for me and saw Cloud when completing the level. Also, Megamix Mastery is something else....

Not gonna lie I got a little misty eyed when I saw Cloud and Sephiroth I'm sooooooooooo happy they're finally in the game and their little animations in the hub world are so adorable ^__^. I love how Sephiroth has that fire blazing behind him like the iconic Niblehiem scene this was the perfect send off to this game. NOW ON TO ASTRO BOT 2!!!!!

Cloud"s Omnislash was worth all of the finger ache though

I don’t really see Cloud as exclusively a PlayStation icon these days as he has been ever-present on Nintendo platforms for a while now, even as a guest in Smash Brothers. That being said, his history with the PlayStation brand is indisputably important and should have been in AstroBot at launch but.. ya know, SE and all.

Just beat the first 4 levels and started the new Master Challenge. That is one tough level but I love it. This game is the gift that keeps on giving.

Why they took so long i guess they must been pissed at the sales but now seeing that ff16 sold almost nothing on xbox they came into sony arms again SE lost their north long ago

Is it known whether these stages, including this DLC, will be the last one the game will have?

I was lowkey hoping for something from Expedition 33, but they were good picks regardless. No idea who Serge was.

That final level was brutal, I died countless times trying to finish it.

Wish they’d add more full blown levels rather than these fast paced ones. I’d even pay for more!

I really wanna know why SE changed their decision to include their characters in Astro Bot when they said big no when Sony / Team Asobi asked them in the first place.

@Fuzzymonkeyfunk They've done new worlds of challenge levels, speedrun levels, and a holiday level. All of them are free too, which was even more amazing.

@Avishayafriat I think this is probably it. After you beat the first 4 new levels, it opens up another similiar to the Master Challenge that is really tough. On beating it, all the bots float around you and it fireworks blare with a "Thank you for Playing" message. Can't complain though, as they added tons of new content for free. Game has been an absolute joy.

Fair additions, other characters I'd care more for but they have their place.

Not getting me to play the game though. Other platformers I'd rather spend my time with instead.
