John Wick Hex, the PS4 tactical title from 2020, is being completely delisted from digital storefronts in just a couple of days — so this is your last chance to grab it before it's gone.
The game will be removed from sale on the 17th July, but just to be clear, you'll still be able to play it if you own it — it's not an online-only release or anything like that.
John Wick is obviously a huge action movie franchise at this point, and so it always seemed a bit strange to us that its only foray into video games came in the form of Hex. We would have bet on a big publisher greenlighting some kind of blockbuster adaptation by now.
By contrast, John Wick Hex is a single-player strategy game developed by well-known indie creator Mike Bithell (of Thomas Was Alone fame). Gameplay revolves around coordinating and executing actions as the legendary hitman himself, taking out rooms of goons via a command-based system.
In our review, we noted that although it takes a little while for the system to click, it provides a really rewarding loop once you've got the hang of things. We'd say it's worth checking out if you're looking for something quite contemplative.
