I definitely agree people not only have more to play then ever but games are bigger and longer too. However Rebirth was absolutely padded with annoying mini games and checklist tasks. I’m so stoked the will be scaling that back. Let us go to the gold saucer if we want to play. We don’t need the world to be full of random mini games that are generally not even fun.

My sub is exp next month and I was thinking of not reupping but I have to now.

I tried the first one and it was pretty mid imo. I know some people really like it though so I’m hoping this lives up to the hype.

I know squenix always says their games didn’t meet sales expectations but you’d have to think these games have some long term sales going in its favor. They can package them together, do a sale before part 3 comes etc. I’d be interested to see the sales numbers down the line. But who knows anymore what a successful game is for square? They should have released it on all platforms though.

I really enjoyed this game. I like Persona by prefer escaping the real world when I play JRPGs so I loved the fantasy setting.

@ShogunRok I also love how you can get so many of the skills early. It doesn’t eff around. Atsu means business and ain’t nobody have time for that.

Spartacus in one of my all time favorite shows. I can totally see him as Wolverine. Also RIP Andy Whitfield.

Side quests are amazing and so organic compared to GoT. Riding the horse is so much more fluid. It’s kicking my butt on normal difficulty for some battles which I love. The enemies done just wait to attack you one by one so you really need to plan out your attacks. You really have to take advantage of all the tool sets they give you in battle . I do wish there was a designated place where you could just practice all your moves without the risk of dying. If there is one please enlighten me!

I’m not sure what a crack addiction entails but I think VS is as close as I’ll ever get. It’s addicting af and it’s always what I end up playing if I travel/go on vacay even if bring my switch etc.

The shield makes me think it might be a little more accessible than Returnal but who knows. I’m not against that because I was terrible and it took me forever to finally beat it lol

After I beat Xenoblade 3 I’m going to give Dying Light 1 a go. I enjoyed it but stopped playing for whatever reason. I’m glad this is looking good because the fan base needed this after the letdown that 2 was.

I just started playing the first one. I’m terrible at it but I’m having fun. FOMO and my friends/coworkers got ahold of me and I already bought Silksong.

@ShogunRok It definitely seemed to be faking RPG mechanics so it could say it’s an RPG. Even the PS Store description says ARPG. Kind of like FFXVI. It’s ok if a game is pure action but I guess it’s marketing doing marketing. I do think reviewers should note (as you did) if the developer is using a genre that the game just doesn’t fall under. It’s a bit deceiving.

I could never get into the tales games but it’s been a long time since I tried. I used to be very old school with my JRPGs and preferred turn based. But since then I’ve expanded a lot more into action RPGs so maybe I’ll give them another try. I do have tales of arise so maybe I should actually give that another go. I just remember the enemies being sponges and taking forever to kill.

When do we actually think ps6 will come out? It feels like ps5 still has a lot offer and Sony knows this. 2028? I’m fine waiting.

@EfYI do you actually think ps and ms have the same subscription strategy? They are completely different. MS pays a ***** ton more to get day one Gamepass games. It’s asinine to compare the two. Also, it was a new IP from a new, small studio so they played it safe with gamepass. No one knew the game would sell like this.

Battle retry is great. I’ve been waiting for my second play through so I could play when all (most) of the updates are out. I’ll probably wait until end of the year. Hope we get some story dlc.

@wildcat_kickz totally agree. I played it in first person and had fun but I have to constantly take breaks because I get motion sickness. Love they added a third person choice.

This was actually really fun! No clue why I decided to buy it but if you are an avatar fun and just want to feel like you’re on Pandora riding around in your Ikran I’d recommend. Story is meh stealth is ok but yeah fun to explore. It’s like 30 hour ish so really nice in between release game. Now with third person I’m def playing again!

Wrapping up the main story of Kingdom Come 2. I’ve had a lot of fun but I’m ready to be done so I can wait for the next DLC. I did have Henry go into murder mode and slaughter an entire town then proceed to dump the bodies in front of the inn. Now the Kuttenberg region hates me. No clue what I’ll play next.

@DennisReynolds thanks that’s good to know. The issue is my backlog is already massive and games take so long these days that it’s hard to get motivated to go back to a game that was pretty terrible at launch. But I’ll check it out. The parkour is fun I’ll give it that.

Alright it’s time to give it another go. I put 30 hours in and beat the terrible main story. Then I fell victim to the corrupted save file issue and I said eff it.

It’s good they are still supporting it but man it was one of the biggest disappointments I’ve ever had with a game purchase. It was just a mess and I have zero time or willpower to go back to it. Hopefully Beast is on par with the first one.

How difficult is this game? More like SMT or easier like the Persona?

Well if ithe score is on release then 6/10. The fact they have to release a patch to make single player actually fun is stupid. It should have been there from day one.

Oh good. You cant see those damn towers and shrines in the open world area until they are right in front of you. They definitely dropped the ball a bit with the zoomed in camera but the game overall is a blast.

I’ve played about 30 hours of the directors cut. I liked it enough but the combat and bare minimum stealth really detracted from the game play. I get the loop and I get why people love it. That said I’m absolutely planning on getting 2 based on what I’m hearing about the expanded combat and stealth mechanics. I probably won’t play at launch but I’ll definitely pick it up in the next few months.

Damn they pulled a Larian. I just started a new game but I’ll just wait for this to come out. I need infinite weight.

Witcher 3. Had no clue it was the 10th anniversary. It’s such an amazing game. Although I constantly get confused thinking the side quests are part of the main quest and then forgetting what I’m actually doing hehe. The combat is definitely a bit clunky and dated but it’s still fun. Glad to see they are changing engines for Witcher 4.

I also got fantasy life i but I’m afraid to play it because it will probably tele over my life and I’ll have to stop playing Witcher. Happy weekend.

It’s one of the most disappointing games I’ve ever played. But I’m sure it will sell so might as well.

My cozy game for this year was going to be Fields of Mistria but I have no clue when the full version will release so I’ll probably go for this. I don’t play multiplayer and that seems to be the biggest issue people have so looks like I’ll enjoy it a lot.

FFIX remake shadow drop next week I promise!

Oh good, I bet 35/40 of them will not be worth buying but those 5 that are fun will give me hours of game time.

Played the demo and yeah, nothing special. Definitely not worth 50 bucks.

This game is pretty. I started a few days ago and of course an LED panel in my tv went out in the middle of the screen so it’s quite annoying to play such a pretty game with they going on. Always something.

The only exploit fix that I actually care about was the easy item dupe one in ToTK. It made it obvious how annoying the grind is in that game.

Geez I really need to play and finish the first one. I’ve started it multiple times but end up taking a break and then not going back to it.

There is always that person that has to choose 1 regardless.

I love these games but they really should have just named them “part 1, 2, 3.” It makes people know they need to play all of them. My friend actually thought rebirth was the name of the special edition version of remake lol.

Sadly scalpers are at it again. Per the usual. I saw it on eBay for $500 the other day.

I’m so trained to use maps/mini paps these days it’s making paranoid I’m going to miss something. I don’t know how much backtracking it allows because I’m still in chapter 1. This game is AMAZING btw. The hype is real.

This game is superb. The OST is incredible, the atmosphere is amazing and I really enjoy the battle system. I’m excited to see what sandfall cooks up in future.
