Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced launched only recently, but already, its director is promising more to come for the highly acclaimed remake.
Speaking in a video interview, Ubisoft Singapore's Richard Knight is asked about post-launch support for the open world pirate adventure, and while he doesn't make any official announcements, he shares one or two tidbits about what the team is planning.
Before that, though, he pleads with fans to stick with the game in a post-GTA 6 world.
"I mean, I can’t say anything officially, but you know, it doesn’t feel like a crazy bet," he says. "I mean, we definitely need to support the game... We need to, you know, fix bugs. Sorry for anyone running into bugs. They hurt. They’re painful for us, too. And we do want to add some quality-of-life stuff. So, I mean, it’s a pretty reasonable guess. Also, please play us when GTA 6 comes out."
It seems the main thing the studio is working on currently is New Game Plus mode, though Knight can't say precisely when it'll be released.
A common complaint from players is about the blowpipe and how it appears on Edward's back when equipped. Knight says they're working on making it so you can hide the weapon so it doesn't show up on your character.
The devs are also working on adding the catch ledge mechanic as seen in Assassin's Creed Shadows, and could potentially add side objectives to missions, though this isn't set in stone.
It seems Knight and the team are committed to improving Resynced in the coming months, then, and he'd really like it if you stick with the game once GTA 6 is out.
