@OscarHTX Testers tend to be sitting within a couple of feet from the monitor they're playing on. Maybe things have changed, I haven't been in that industry in a long time. Back then though it was basically a desk job, so you're right in front of the game.

From the product page:

KEEP ON GAMING: Bring your favorite video game out of the TV screen and into your home with this item! Featuring images from the popular game, this is the ultimate item for avid gamers and fans.

I LOVE that popular trophy game, it’s true. This is what happens when you have companies making products with no understanding of the culture surrounding those products. The entire write up is pretty funny.

@Giygas_95 You can’t be late to a party that doesn’t end! Welcome, friend.

I've pumped something like sixty or seventy hours into Days Gone over the past few weeks. I realized I kept getting The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" stuck in my head right after playing. I don't listen to that song, so it was really confusing me. Then I listened to the score more closely the next time I played, and sure enough, there's a melody that repeats quite often that is very, very similar to one heard in that classic song. It's an ascending three notes that mirrors "but my dreams..."

The same happens with Pearl Jam's "Present Tense" when the credits roll on an episode of Veronica Mars. There are almost no similarities other than two repeating notes, but every single time, I get "Present Tense" stuck in my head.

Nothing intentional on the composer's part. Most modern music is just twelve notes arranged in different combinations. My mind just hones in on similarities and brings them to my attention, whether I like it or not.

If I have an idea, and I share it with one person, did I lose my idea? No, there are now two. If I share it with the internet did I lose anything? No, the idea has spread but I still have mine. It's the same with console exclusives. If I enjoy Days Gone and then it becomes available on other platforms, does that somehow diminish my enjoyment of the game? Of course not, why would it? If anything I should be happy that a wider audience gets to experience the same thing. Then we have more to talk about and share.

Re: Rumour: PS Plus December 2019 PS4 Games Leaked Ahead of Announcement

I’ve had Titanfall 2 in my backlog for a looooong time, and finally blasted through it recently. It was a truly FUN experience. The campaign was just the right length, constantly moving forward with no padding. You learn new skills and have to implement them along with the existing ones, building up to an impressive repertoire of destruction and mobility options.

So sure, if it ends up being one of the games that’s a bummer as I already own it, but I’d be quite pleased for those who aren’t in the same boat.

As for the Monster Energy game, I could never bring myself to play a game sponsored by/named after an energy drink. Ugh.

Edit: Now that it's official, I just want to point out that Titanfall 2 has been on sale for as little as $5.99 in the past. The energy drink game has been as low as $11.99. Also, apparently there was a sequel released in Feb of this year. So not only is it an energy drink racing game no one wanted, it's an outdated one at that.

I finally started playing Titanfall 2 yesterday. An hour and a half in so far, and I can definitely see why people speak so highly of this game’s campaign. I won’t be heading into multiplayer or going for the platinum, just enjoying the game on easy so I can get another title out of my backlog as pleasantly as possible.

“We already knew that the hotly anticipated The Last of Us: Part II would be putting in an appearance, but with the re-reveal of Wattam and the announcement of Batman:...., this month's package of surprises could probably consider itself the best one yet.”

BOY that got my hopes up before I clicked through. Hahaha

Re: Knights and Bikes - Girls on Bikes Take a Delightful Nostalgia Trip

My wife isn't much of a gamer. She plays the Garden Warfare games and is actually quite good at them. She's been watching me play Stardew Valley and while at first she wasn't interested at all, now she says she'd rather watch me play Stardew than watch anything on the tele.

I contributed to Knights and Bikes back when, and received my copy of the game. I'm trying to convince her to play it with me but the trailers don't make much sense. I'm hoping that once I can sit her down with it for an hour (hopefully this weekend) she'll get sucked in.

The lack of challenge is definitely a negative as she's a very competitive person!
