@OscarHTX Testers tend to be sitting within a couple of feet from the monitor they're playing on. Maybe things have changed, I haven't been in that industry in a long time. Back then though it was basically a desk job, so you're right in front of the game.
KEEP ON GAMING: Bring your favorite video game out of the TV screen and into your home with this item! Featuring images from the popular game, this is the ultimate item for avid gamers and fans.
I LOVE that popular trophy game, it’s true. This is what happens when you have companies making products with no understanding of the culture surrounding those products. The entire write up is pretty funny.
@Giygas_95 You can’t be late to a party that doesn’t end! Welcome, friend.
While the majority of this is likely 100% trash, I have heard murmurs of a FO:NV remake, using a new engine that FO games will use going forward. Since FO:NV wasn’t a Bethesda game, the rumor extends to Zenimax acquiring Obsidian. We’ll see what happens!
I've pumped something like sixty or seventy hours into Days Gone over the past few weeks. I realized I kept getting The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" stuck in my head right after playing. I don't listen to that song, so it was really confusing me. Then I listened to the score more closely the next time I played, and sure enough, there's a melody that repeats quite often that is very, very similar to one heard in that classic song. It's an ascending three notes that mirrors "but my dreams..."
The same happens with Pearl Jam's "Present Tense" when the credits roll on an episode of Veronica Mars. There are almost no similarities other than two repeating notes, but every single time, I get "Present Tense" stuck in my head.
Nothing intentional on the composer's part. Most modern music is just twelve notes arranged in different combinations. My mind just hones in on similarities and brings them to my attention, whether I like it or not.
There’s no game I’ve sunk as many hours into than Skyrim. Probably three thousand hours across platforms. There’s just something so comforting about that world.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture on this list! It's some of the best cosmic horror you'll find outside of a Lovecraft story.
Would have been nice to have something like this years ago. As it stands it’ll be coming out ten months before it’s obsolete, unless it is somehow also compatible with the DS5. Cool idea, if they come out with a DS5 version I’ll pick it up immediately.
If I have an idea, and I share it with one person, did I lose my idea? No, there are now two. If I share it with the internet did I lose anything? No, the idea has spread but I still have mine. It's the same with console exclusives. If I enjoy Days Gone and then it becomes available on other platforms, does that somehow diminish my enjoyment of the game? Of course not, why would it? If anything I should be happy that a wider audience gets to experience the same thing. Then we have more to talk about and share.
I didn't expect a lot from this title, but I was hoping for more than what was delivered. Despite my absolute love for all things spooky his is probably a complete pass for me, even if it goes on sale for $4 or something.
@swagbag713 Looks like the lowest it's been on the Playstation Store is $26.79. You never know, I might get lucky with the next sale, which should start on Dec 24th.
I’ve had Titanfall 2 in my backlog for a looooong time, and finally blasted through it recently. It was a truly FUN experience. The campaign was just the right length, constantly moving forward with no padding. You learn new skills and have to implement them along with the existing ones, building up to an impressive repertoire of destruction and mobility options.
So sure, if it ends up being one of the games that’s a bummer as I already own it, but I’d be quite pleased for those who aren’t in the same boat.
As for the Monster Energy game, I could never bring myself to play a game sponsored by/named after an energy drink. Ugh.
Edit: Now that it's official, I just want to point out that Titanfall 2 has been on sale for as little as $5.99 in the past. The energy drink game has been as low as $11.99. Also, apparently there was a sequel released in Feb of this year. So not only is it an energy drink racing game no one wanted, it's an outdated one at that.
I find games can either have incredibly realistic graphics, or they need a very unique art style that stands apart. Just settling for less graphically might not be the way to go. Hopefully they have some surprises for us in the art style department!
I finally started playing Titanfall 2 yesterday. An hour and a half in so far, and I can definitely see why people speak so highly of this game’s campaign. I won’t be heading into multiplayer or going for the platinum, just enjoying the game on easy so I can get another title out of my backlog as pleasantly as possible.
@ShogunRok I absolutely LOVED the first game. I used it as a palate cleanser between two longer/more serious games and it worked a treat. Let me ask: how is the leveling/grinding/gear in this game? I thought the balance was just purrfect in the first.
People need to stop supporting this game financially. It's only serving to keep it going another X years.
C'mon Bethesda, this isn't working. Time to move on and put all efforts into the next Elder Scrolls game. Which, I've got to say, I'm not looking forward to nearly as much after this serious misstep.
In all fairness they didn’t make these helmets. They went through a factory in China just like everyone else. I doubt the factory gave them the mold option and they went with it.
“We already knew that the hotly anticipated The Last of Us: Part II would be putting in an appearance, but with the re-reveal of Wattam and the announcement of Batman:...., this month's package of surprises could probably consider itself the best one yet.”
BOY that got my hopes up before I clicked through. Hahaha
In regard to Control, my days of paying $80 for untested new releases are long behind me. I'll wait until I can get that for $20. It usually happens in less than a year, and by then they've patched the game and have released some DLC as well. Win/win/win.
This is... I don’t know, almost strangely appropriate? These games were known for their great writing, and their janky, bug-laden play. You wanted the definitive Telltale experience? Here ya go!
@Wazeddie22 I LOVED Costume Quest. I nearly pooped myself when the sequel was announced. Then, once it landed, I couldn't quite get into it. Did you have the same issue by any chance, or is it just me?
My wife isn't much of a gamer. She plays the Garden Warfare games and is actually quite good at them. She's been watching me play Stardew Valley and while at first she wasn't interested at all, now she says she'd rather watch me play Stardew than watch anything on the tele.
I contributed to Knights and Bikes back when, and received my copy of the game. I'm trying to convince her to play it with me but the trailers don't make much sense. I'm hoping that once I can sit her down with it for an hour (hopefully this weekend) she'll get sucked in.
The lack of challenge is definitely a negative as she's a very competitive person!
This is the type of game where, while I'm more interested in it than I am 95% of all other upcoming games, I'm going to wait for a sale. Not because I don't believe the game is worth full price, but because by then they'll have worked out some of the nastier problems.
