@Deadlyblack My only problem with the DLC suits is that each DLC has a clear best suit, and that's always the one you get for 100%'ing the DLC. So then you get this awesome suit right as you're quitting out of the game as you have nothing else to do. :/
@lacerz, yeah, seriously. I guess they all have different functionality, so that's probably why. But still, it would be great to have one app rather than to ask my guests to download YET ANOTHER APP that they'll only use once or twice a year.
Is the video working for anyone? I’m just getting an error however many times I refresh.
Edit: watched it on their YT channel. Music just gets worse and worse in VG trailers as time goes on. I’m at a point where I miss the days of terrible Nirvana covers. Compared to this and MKXI that’s heaven.
@Gatatog Oh I didn't interpret your comment as mean spirited toward QA or anything, I was just trying to shine a light on something that I feel often gets overlooked.
The same suits that decided to release a buggy game are the ones who decided how long the game would cook in QA. Same ones that thought "canvas, nylon, what difference does it make? Those dweebs won't even notice! :cackles in privilege:"
@Gatatog As someone that worked in QA for years, the most frustrating thing is that suits will tell your lead "don't document any more bugs until the next build" or "don't document any game breaking bugs as we're hoping this is the gold build, we can patch it later."
Then, if something goes wrong, they throw QA under the bus. "Why didn't anyone catch this?!?" We can't exactly say uhhhh I found that two weeks ago but was told not to document it.
Moral of the story, be nice to QA. It's quite often not their fault.
This is exactly what I figured. It’s not like the trailers misrepresented the game, which is something I appreciate.
This is a “wait for a deep sale” for me. I enjoyed the first two and undoubtedly will enjoy this one as well, but it won’t get to the front of my backlog until I’m particularly feeling the itch for that particular style of game.
I worked with PS3 dev kits, they were a “beast” as well. At that point in development they don’t care about the size or form factor of the units—why would they?
@Eternallover21 I played the beta for a few hours and was disappointed. The game felt empty, which is something you see echoed quite often. People complain about the lack of NPCs but I’d argue the real issue is the lack of motivation. Everyone is dead, what do I care? Why follow quest markers that lead to further markers? All while I’m getting punched by some ignoramus who’s sole purpose is to annoy.
Also, the game was ugly. I expected it to be at least a bit pretty but it’s like a mobile phone version of Fallout. The player models are basically PS2 quality.
Also, the game clearly isn’t finished. It needed at least six month’s worth of additional development, but they released it anyway. It’s an early access title passed off as gold certified, and that pisses me off.
I still believe the title has potential but for now I think it’s a pass. I’m happy for anyone else that’s enjoying it.
I'm actually glad. They'd only be talking about the same few games they've been talking about at every event for years now. The last one felt like a complete waste of everyone's time.
Might sound like a silly question but bear with me: Can you survive in this game without killing animals? I always try to play games like this as I'd actually act in real life, and there's no way I'd kill an animal when there are plants around. Sorry, plants.
I feel like an idiot now, but I decided to be hopeful when they revealed this title and preordered the helmet edition. It's being delivered today. I'm either going to hold on to it but not play the game until it's fixed, or just sell it if it's going for anything decent on ebay by mid-December. Such a shame, as this game has true potential.
It clearly needed at least another year of development, but they pushed it out anyway.
@daveofduncan Sure, but delivering an actual game would have been nice. What they've delivered is basically a beta, and it'll likely stay that way for months as they continue to make small fixes that should have been done before it went gold.
I think that when done correctly, PlayLink titles have an amazing potential to bring non-games and gamers together. I just wish there were more That’s You!’s and fewer lackluster titles.
Great review, it basically confirms all my presumptions from the trailer. That said, I’m still on board and will definitely be picking it up at some point. I’m still elbow deep in C:SotN right now and FO76 is about to land. That’s pretty much me for the rest of the year.
I absolutely loved this game, but it was the second one that really ate up my time. The amount of hours I spent playing the second one! I was absolutely hooked.
Played the FO76 BETA for a couple of hours last night. I enjoyed it for what it was, and can see myself really getting lost in the game, playing it for an hour or two at a time for months and months. Kind of that background game you go to when you want to unwind for a bit.
I will say, I was immediately annoyed by the other people there. I'm so used to it being a personal, solo experience that when CASH_BEWBS69 is following me around pretending to punch me constantly, it definitely takes away from the ambiance.
Turns out a friend of mine was in there as well though, which I saw only after we'd all been kicked out. Had I teamed up with her it would have been a completely different experience! I can see us teaming up quite often, and it'll be a great way to catch up with them as they live across the country.
I was quite good at SotN, but I've never played Rondo. What the heck is a Rondo? Anyway, I'll go for the plats, we'll see how much more difficult they are compared to just getting everything in the game (which I'd done on SotN several times back in the day).
@3Above Same here. Checked last night at 9pm (I’m west coast) but nothing. Checked again around midnight, nothing. Woke up this morning, ran to my console, nothing. Bah.
First mention of her on this site is talking about the next Assassin's Creed game coming out "next year". Awww, back when there was only one of them, and it was just okay.
@bbtothe I played it for about fifteen minutes before work today. So far I'm really enjoying it! The game is definitely a throwback to the 8-bit era, which includes a difficulty that's unforgiving if you haven't already played the level before. The platinum trophy is basically out of the question as it involves playing through the entire game only getting hit three times (you have to play in 1HP mode, and you have three lives). If you die, you start the entire level over--there are no checkpoints from what I've seen.
If you're a fan of those old NES games, you'll love this.
@rjejr I've been using that remote since it was released. It worked really well but chews through batteries.
I had batteries in there which my PS4 was showing as 2/3 bars full, when the controller stopped working. I figured I'd just need to replace the batteries (again...) but new batteries didn't help. Looks like it crapped the bed, so I'm going to try to swap it out for a new one. It's a great remote when it works!
@shafedog247 I don't think I've registered them, no. I don't even remember a card for that! I do have the box and everything that came with it, I'll look through it next time I see it, not that that'll help me now.
@bbtothe Looks like it's getting fantastic reviews on Steam! It's also only $4.99 there. Very heartening. I'll definitely pick it up when it's available (despite articles all over saying Oct 19th, here we are and it's not in the US store).
@Oddbodjunior Don't worry, I'm in the States but never get anything like this.
I've been a PS3 owner since the beginning, or near it. Plus member since it was available. PS4 launch day, PSVR launch day, PS4 Pro launch day. I get all of their promotional emails telling me about new sales or upcoming games, but I've never once gotten any kind of 20% off coupon or PSN credit. I'm not alone in any of this. :/
Looks interesting. If it's only eight bucks or something I'll pick it up immediately, anything above that and I'm going to hold off for reviews (if there are reviews).
Don’t we already have one very much like that middle one in the base game? Looking forward to the new missions and trophies, feeling a bit let down by the suits.

It’s already been harped on but wow. That music.
My cat’s butthole could have done a better job.
They seriously have a disconnect with their audience which doesn’t inspire confidence. I couldn’t get through more than a third of the trailer.
Re: Bethesda Says It'll Send Canvas Bags to Fallout 76 Collector's Edition Buyers
