Re: Mini Review: Gradius Origins (PS5) - Impressive Collection Bundles Classics with Brand New Title

Titntin

This is a great collection of classic titles. Im sure its worth the entry cost but I'll probably wait for a sale price before picking it up. I have about 40 in my ps5 shumup collection, so Im not short of a game while Im waiting.
I do love Gradius though I'll admit Im not quite up to getting through it any more. An old friend came for a visit a few months back and completed it on one life, knew the spaces to occupy to a pixel where Ive forgotten them all. It certainly wowed me and reminded me how low my skills have dropped πŸ˜‚

Re: Reaction: PS Plus Essential Deserves Much More Credit for Its Free PS5, PS4 Games in 2025

Titntin

@themightyant I completely agree mate, Id see premium as worth it for me just for the streaming and game trials alone, never mind the extra games.
When making comparisons with GP, few mention that GP costs 50% more than a premium sub, and with less and less titles offered each montth on GP, there are often months where I cant find anything to play on gp at all. It has substatialy less tittles than its cheaper rival offering.
Best I can do is vote with my wallet. Im always subbed to ps premium, I dip in and out of game pass.

Re: Official PlayStation Fighting Stick Named FlexStrike, Out in 2026

Titntin

Nice looking unit and I like the idea of the swappable gates. Shame we don't know the price but I expect it to be pricey (my nacon fighting stick was about Β£250) I'd like to see tests on wireless latency, as any previous serious stick has been wired only - its great if they have that level; of latency via wireless (though I suspect not.)

Re: Sony Job Listing Implies More PS5 Exclusives Will Be Ported to Xbox, Nintendo

Titntin

Trying to exrapolate the buisness direction of a multi national based on a single job listing is an excersice in futility, yet here we are.
I dont think for one second that non multiplayer titles will launch on Xbox, and to limit your design to a machine not much more powerfull than a ps4 is also stupidly restrictive and wont happan either. Sony is in a good position and diluting the attraction and technology of its games for a few more sales would be a stupid move.

Re: In Unsurprising News, Even More Xbox Ports Are Allegedly En Route to PS5

Titntin

I hope they do well, but none of the likely titles are worth paying decent money for. I was lucky enough to play them on GP so I didnt waste my money.
I tried Starfield for 90 hours, it keeps threatening to be interesting but never gets there.
South of midnight has great art direction and one or two memorable set piece encounters, but its combat is struggling to hit AA standard and its traversal is plain shoddy.
I think Halo was the single worst campaign Ive ever played, but the mechanics are great so if you are into multiplayer its probably worth a look.
I think once people can try these titles they will realise they were not missing anything special....

Re: Wuchang Tech Issues Acknowledged, First Patch Coming Soon

Titntin

Good to see the devs acknowledge the issues and promise to put them right. I dont understand the mentality of those who try and pretend theres no issues, why not just say 'Im enjoying the game and haven't noticed issues' instead of trying to gaslight the rest of us?
The reported resolutions are a little low for me to not notice, so Ill wait a while for them to patch it properly or release a proper pro mode. Id like to try this though as I enjoyed Wukong and this looks like a copy, except a much more lenient dodge mechanic which might help those of us without the reactions of a fruit fly! πŸ˜€

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 589

Titntin

I've been playing Dragons Dogma 2 since last week. I fell off it hard the first time I tried it, but once you overcome the initial difficulties and accept it for what it is, its actually a deeply satisfying experience and it looks great and maintains smooth framerates on a ps5 pro with a vrr tv..(balanced mode, raytracing on, unlocked frame rate).
Im a little captivated by it, so I might not even manage any FH5 racing this weekend πŸ˜€

Whatever you are playing this weekend, I hope you're having a blast!

Re: Romero Games Appears to Have Closed as Xbox Layoffs Cast Dark Shadow Over Industry

Titntin

@Fiendish-Beaver Im laughing right now as I knew this would be the defence you'd raise on my previous points, it was the only option.πŸ˜€
Even were we to accept that he's been completely blindsided by everything (which would be very naive), that would be completely irrelevant. Leadership is about taking responsibility, its why they get paid stupid amounts of money. If Phil made solid commitments to how they would run xbox, then he should have been at every board meeting shouting and arguing to preserve xboxs soul - they havent always just answered to shareholders and the balance sheet. If he failed, he shouldnt now be spouting a different corporate message, he should move on with some dignity and integrity.
Bless you for thinking the best of him. But he's got you suckered mate, he's as sneaky and slippery as all the other word salad producers.

Re: Blackpink's Lisa Is the New Global Face of PlayStation

Titntin

Probably not my thing, but playstation have shown time and again that they know how to market themselves, so Im sure this will achieve the results they want for their target audience.
Im a little weird so I'd respond better to some of their classic old advertising myself.
Really right now I'm sure their best advert would be:
Playstation - we're not Microsoft.

Re: Romero Games Appears to Have Closed as Xbox Layoffs Cast Dark Shadow Over Industry

Titntin

@Fiendish-Beaver Hes just saying what a large portion of the industry are saying.
Phil's said time and time again about how xboxs acquisitions would bring stability to studios, allow for diverse games and passion projects etc etc.
The truth is anything but, its an absolute disaster zone and if your lies get exposed for everyone to see then you deserve to be called out for it.
Phil is slimey suit liar like all the lying xbox execs, and as thousands of devs now have to struggle to look after their families its not right that this liar gets to sit pretty in his office no doubt inventing more lies to feed the weak minded who believe anything he says. Pointing out the juxtaposition of the liar sitting safe while devs are being hung out to dry is perfectly valid thing to do.
Why you cant see this baffles me, you lie, you should take responsibility. Obviously not in slimey Phils world.

Re: Opinion: Diablo 4's Story Campaign Is Well Worth Playing on PS Plus

Titntin

Cut scenes were excellent, characters and story so so.
Once you've found your build, the game gets pretty monotonous quickly in my experience - Id often drift off to sleep while playing..
I only finished the main story, but it took me about 100 hours and I was desperate to finish it by the time it ended.
Contast this with Diablo 3 which I played through multiple times and enjoyed doing some end game grinding.

Its a perfect PS plus game you get to try it without shelling out! I hope many more enjoy it.

Re: Sony Sued for 'Abusing Its Dominant Position in the Console Market'

Titntin

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare
UK, I have never not been able to get a substantial discount on my psn credit, usually %14 (best to buy Β£100 at a time to get this reduction, smaller amounts have less savings). I spend many hundreds and always buy my credit this way, takes a couple of miniutes.
Simply type 'Cheap PSN credit' into google and you'll get loads of options. Im sorry but I dont know if you will be offered options for your region....

Take a look πŸ‘

Re: Feature: Top 20 PS5 Games of 2025 So Far

Titntin

Nice list.
Expedition 33 is unfortunately not anywhere near my top game, Ive put in 50 hours but nothing about it gells with me at all. Some of that will be the parry mechanics of course, I dont want them in a turn based jrpg and I struggle with it. But even the characters (I cheered when we lost Gustave as I hated him) though Esquie is a great character. Even the music doesnt do much for me. This is pretty weird as Im not a contrarian and I normally get it when everyone loves a game, so Im left scratching my head wandering what everyone is seeing that Im not!
Not to worry, we are only halfway through the year and theres been plenty of titles I have loved. Happy to see Blue Prince got some love, and also Fantasy Life, but its weird to see Forza Horizon 5 in the lists when I played it so long ago. I did double dip though, its fantastic on a pro and well worth another play through.
With so many great games coming at such a fast rate, its very hard to see why some people state we are in the worst gen ever... feels like the best to me.

Re: Sony Hasn't Given Up on Adding More PS3 Games to PS Plus Yet

Titntin

I assume that confirms theres limited streaming capacity allocated to ps3 titles, so he wants to swap them around to ensure access?
Heres an idea, dont swap them out, increase streaming resources to cope, or look seriously at a ps3 emulator. If they had started working on one a few years back when they should have, it would have been pretty capable by now...
