@RoomWithaMoose Inarguable? He's already admitted he made a mistake with what he said about fairgames being cancelled, and then goes on to suggest Andy House was pushed out, which is also not supported by a shred of evidence. He's clearly and objectively wrong on at least two of his assertions on this 'statement', but somehow that makes his other assertions 'inarguable'? You make no sense in your pandering to his viewpoints, but thats your choice to make. Just as my choice to never believe anything he says, based on a long history of him never being right, is my choice to make and my choice to share here. As you are clearly blinded to the falsehoods in his current statements in addition to his long history of such, we are clearly not going to find an agreed middle ground, so I wish you a good day.
@RoomWithaMoose Have you only just heard of this guy? It certainly seems so... he continually states rubbish that never comes to pass because he's always wrong. The games business is 'spread betting' and that inevitably means you are occasionally going to make a mistake. It's still true now and was for the 20 years I worked the industry. Do I think Sony are faultless - absolutely not, but they know a damn site more about the business than Patcher ever will.
@RoomWithaMoose Of course it's nonsense, like all of his tripe. Anyone can look at the current situation with Bungie and say 'that wasn't a good move'. He said jack all when the deal went down though - and he had the same platform.
If you fall for his 'after the event predictions', that says more about you than Sony - a company with record breaking profits and another run away success of a console.
Since when has Patcher gotten anything correct? If he says one thing you can bank on doing the opposite being the correct path. Articles like this don't exactly help.. why quote him at all? He speak nonsense all year round...
Thanks for this review. I'm so glad it continues the traditions from these devs and provides me with more memorable hours to treasure. Given the relatively short length, its a good match to be on PS plus extra and I'm looking forward to downloading tomorrow.
That's where I bought it on 14th. There was a small additional charge towards the end of the check out process that brought it to £187 instead of the £172 advertised, but thats all. You can stack too, my PSN premium now doesn't run out till January 2028.
I include the link as this particular deal is for a code that will work in Europe too. Good luck my friend!
@Discol76 I couldnt agree with you more. Many games have had their reception decided simply by trends in online dicourse rather than anyone actually playing and evaluating the game. Like any creative endeavour, Id rather it were judged on its own merits or not, rather than 'what people online are saying'. We live in strange times.
Still working my way through Dragons Dogma 2, 93 hours in.
I started having a look at Sand Land today and I have to say Ive found it charming so far, so I expect to play a lot more. Probably run a few more races in Forza Horizon 5 too.
Whatever you are playing, I hope you have a great weekend!
@Nekomichu I usually get 16% off £100 credit.
Just this morning I bought 2 more years of premium for £187 instead of £240 (21% discount). Discounts have reduced a little, but not by a lot.
The simplest google search brings you direct to these deals, if people don't use them, it's on them, they must be made of cash...
This looks like it could be a lot of fun. Its in a genre where we hardly get any games on ps5 and I would never play multiplayer so certainly wouldnt miss it at all.
One for the wish list for sure!
This was to be expected tbh. Its an ambitious game and the pre release stuff I've seen suggests its needs more time to come in at AAA level. I hope they get it right and we could have a real banger with this one!
Thanks for this review. I'm strangely attracted to the game and I might just have to play it.. Are there daily tasks or any other timed mechanic that try and get you logging in every day? That's a complete turn off for me, so I hope there are none
Really hated this on release when I played it via GP. It was a buggy broken mess and not fun at all.
I'm glad they have continued to work on it and improve it, but it would take trial for me to take another look.
I'm glad many of the bugs are fixed, and it should run best for console play on a pro, so there's some consolation for having to wait a while if you are a PS only player - and that's just facts despite the usual 'bristling' from the usual suspects.
@AdamNovice Excellent post with well illustrated points. Absolutely no need to be sorry for adding to the debate in such a reasoned way.
I also happen to agree with your points 😀 Her character was much more adult, together with all the flaws that brings, and watching her learn to trust and rely on help as the story unfolded was much better writting than the insipid one dimensional characters that inhabit many games.
This is a great collection of classic titles. Im sure its worth the entry cost but I'll probably wait for a sale price before picking it up. I have about 40 in my ps5 shumup collection, so Im not short of a game while Im waiting. I do love Gradius though I'll admit Im not quite up to getting through it any more. An old friend came for a visit a few months back and completed it on one life, knew the spaces to occupy to a pixel where Ive forgotten them all. It certainly wowed me and reminded me how low my skills have dropped 😂
Needs to be on PS plus. No one should part with money when there pretty much no game. I 'played it' on GP and other than ogling at some pretty graphics, its was dam poor, which was a big shame as the studio is capable of so much more.
I'd have much prefered a a Heavenly Sword sequel - at least that was doing its best to be an actual game.
@Northern_munkey lol, Id far rather pretend I was younger! When people ask what my favourite video game was as a kid, I have to explain there were no video games when I was a kid. Jesus, I remember pre decimalisation, buying a packet of chips served in newspaper for 2D...
I'm 61 next month. It really does affect how you can respond to these games (no matter how young you think you look) and there are some titles now I just cant play - I suspect this will be one of them! Shame, but you can't turn back the wheels of time....
@themightyant I completely agree mate, Id see premium as worth it for me just for the streaming and game trials alone, never mind the extra games. When making comparisons with GP, few mention that GP costs 50% more than a premium sub, and with less and less titles offered each montth on GP, there are often months where I cant find anything to play on gp at all. It has substatialy less tittles than its cheaper rival offering. Best I can do is vote with my wallet. Im always subbed to ps premium, I dip in and out of game pass.
@Shepherd_Tallon
Whilst I never expected this from this title, a successor to 'Battle for Middle-Earth' would jump right to the top of my wishlist mate!
What a shame. Despite what others may say, I was right up for a cosy game in this world and was looking forward to this coming out. This appears to be a very low minimum effort game and as such has missed a big potential...
Nice looking unit and I like the idea of the swappable gates. Shame we don't know the price but I expect it to be pricey (my nacon fighting stick was about £250) I'd like to see tests on wireless latency, as any previous serious stick has been wired only - its great if they have that level; of latency via wireless (though I suspect not.)
@Questionable_Duck Cheers for pointing that out! You're unquestionably correct, the job titles leave no doubt. How interesting. Unlikely as I expected it to be, having more people have access to more games wherever they play is undoubtedly a win for gamers👍
Trying to exrapolate the buisness direction of a multi national based on a single job listing is an excersice in futility, yet here we are. I dont think for one second that non multiplayer titles will launch on Xbox, and to limit your design to a machine not much more powerfull than a ps4 is also stupidly restrictive and wont happan either. Sony is in a good position and diluting the attraction and technology of its games for a few more sales would be a stupid move.
Thats a shame for me as its a star wars world I loved to get lost in. Was refreshing to not be a Jedi for once.
Wander how many people will get the Smiths tagline reference? Im not critising so please dont delete my comment for an innocent question... no offence is intended and I like the tagline ( but Im an old git)
I hope they do well, but none of the likely titles are worth paying decent money for. I was lucky enough to play them on GP so I didnt waste my money. I tried Starfield for 90 hours, it keeps threatening to be interesting but never gets there. South of midnight has great art direction and one or two memorable set piece encounters, but its combat is struggling to hit AA standard and its traversal is plain shoddy. I think Halo was the single worst campaign Ive ever played, but the mechanics are great so if you are into multiplayer its probably worth a look. I think once people can try these titles they will realise they were not missing anything special....
The original game would be great to see again or indeed a redone version of the classic strategy title. I was disappointed to see it become Garden Warfare and didnt enjoy those derrivitive games at all, so this is good news on an otherwise disappointing morning.
Good to see the devs acknowledge the issues and promise to put them right. I dont understand the mentality of those who try and pretend theres no issues, why not just say 'Im enjoying the game and haven't noticed issues' instead of trying to gaslight the rest of us?
The reported resolutions are a little low for me to not notice, so Ill wait a while for them to patch it properly or release a proper pro mode. Id like to try this though as I enjoyed Wukong and this looks like a copy, except a much more lenient dodge mechanic which might help those of us without the reactions of a fruit fly! 😀

Re: Ghost of Yotei Legends Multiplayer Drops as Free DLC in 2026, New Story Trailer Is a Stunner
Im definitely feeling it. In a show with little excitement, it was the best thing by miles...
Re: Poll: How Would You Rate Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025?
Im normally pretty upbeat about all shows. But apart from maybe 5 trailers and a great song performance, this was really really poor.

@streetshadow Eloquently expressed mate. I think my comment style needs more of what your showing...
Re: Feature: Let's Predict Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025
I predict many people will fall asleep during the show and catch up on trailers after it. or is that just me 😂

@RoomWithaMoose Well lets leave the conversation on something we definitely agree on: I really do hate the guy 👍
