A man of culture I see, nice one - will see if there's any censorship shenanigans first before picking it up. Presume it's digital only though as haven't seen it listed on Amazon UK etc
The recent release/patch of Fairy Tail and the forthcoming release of Death End: Request 2 would suggest Sony hasn't "moved on" with its censorship nonsense at all.
Maybe I've got a one-tracked mind, but new PS related outfit, cross-play, PS Plus & PS Now don't sound very 'spicy' to me & looking at the screenshot above it doesn't look like the type of game that includes any titillation or fan service.
Therefore, as Hoffa007 says above - could be some sort of exclusivity deal, in which case 'spicy' is not the word most Xboxers will probably use if they were looking forward to playing the game on release etc
I enjoyed the game on PS3 until the story suddenly just stopped & the game forces you to go and grind money by stealing cars & robbing stores etc (which if I remember correctly gave you a pittance for each one completed). Gave up at that point & never finished the game. Dunno if I would give it another go on PS4 though - will see.
As @JJ2 states above - Mirrors Edge Dynamic Theme. Never played either of the games, but absolutely love listening to that ambient sci-fi theme tune whenever I switch on my PS4 or return to the UI etc.
February was a pretty quiet month for new releases, but things are about to get busy - over the next 3-4 months leading into summer I've got the following to look forward to: Persona 5 Royal, FFVII Remake, Trials of Mana, Disaster Report (if it's any good), Sakura Wars, Last of Us II, Fairy Tail & Ghosts of Tsushima.
Currently coming towards the end of Chapter III (the desert area) in Gears 5 - enjoying the game play a lot & it's a much better game than Gears of War 4 in my opinion.
Bought HZD when it released and still haven't got round to playing it yet (same with GOW and Days Gone) - one day soon I'll try & see what all the fuss is about !
Finished Pillars of Eternity II last week & after a long RPG I'm in the mood for a shooter, so just started Gears 5 on the X - only played the first mission so far but it felt pretty good, although may take a while getting used to reloading using the Right shoulder button as too used to pressing Square on the Dualshock to reload 😆
Currently playing Pillars of Eternity 2 - enjoying the story thus far, but man those loading screens are just killer. Not sure if poor programming or whether Obsidian deliberately gimped it on PS4 to appease their new masters/overlords in Redmond (be interesting to know if the Xbox version runs any better).
Still think World Soccer on the Sega Master System was the most fun I've had playing football on consoles - full of little chunky player goodness & wholesomeness (not like your current FIFA's & PES').
Finally caught up with the Walking Dead: Final Season this week & enjoyed it immensely catching up with Clem & AJ and seeing how their story would end.
Currently waiting for Pillars 2 to drop at the end of the month, so in the meantime I'll probably play some other short games from my backlog like Life is Strange: Before the Storm and maybe some SNK Heroines Tag Team.
Lose the QTE's (especially those godawful stealth mechanics) and make the gameplay/gunfights longer & meatier and I'd definitely be interested in returning to this world again, as it had (& has) so much unused potential.
Might help increase sales if they also didn't lock the single player content of some of their games like The Division & GR Breakpoint behind an 'always online' paywall.
The Division I can sort of understand, but GR Wildlands was playable offline so I'm sure the follow up could have been too if they had wanted to (not that I had any interest in Breakpoint as didn't really appeal to me for some reason even though I usually love TPS', but I would have bought & played Division 2 offline for sure).
There's 11 games on that list that I already have my eye on & who knows how many more will be released during 2020 that aren't listed - PS5 will probably have to wait for a while as all my pennies will be going on games it seems.
Had forgotten all about Biomutant too, a couple of years ago you couldn't move for seeing articles about it everywhere & then it just seemed to disappear completely - wonder if they've been having some development troubles on it or something.
Couldn't tell you sorry, all my COD's are on PS3 and I only ever play the single player campaigns - hopefully someone in the know will pop up with an answer for you though
Might pick up Trails of Cold Steel 1 & 2 from the PS store when I get paid later this month, although need to save some cash for the new year sale as that's usually a good 'un !
Fairy Tail looks like a dead cert for me judging by what I've seen of it so far - no real interest in the others (maybe FF7 Remake later on if it's any good)
Finally finished Greedfall during the week, although even now I still can't decide whether I actually liked/enjoyed it or whether the negatives far outweighed the positives in the end, but I completed it & got my money's worth I suppose, so hey ho.
Have now started playing Code Vein & just beat the first boss (which I managed to do first time, unlike the demo when it took me two tries to bring him down). Not usually a fan of these Souls type games as I much prefer to enjoy the story in games rather than looking for a tough challenge, so hopefully this won't have me chucking the controller in frustration/rage before the end 😈😬. Loving the anime art style & customisation too, although still can't get the hang of sneaking behind an enemy and draining them yet for some reason, as pressing the Square button as prompted just seems to swing my weapon at them instead (more practice needed methinks !!)
Damn, when I saw the name Oriental Exorcist I was hoping for a game based on those classic 80's Hong Kong Kung Fu flicks like Encounters of the Spooky Kind & Mr Vampire etc.
Still, this side scrolling swordplay action RPG looks decent enough so will put it on my list of games to watch out for next year.
I'm guessing a lot of this is through the very many sales they have on the PS store (of which I'm guilty - probably bought 10 or so games digitally this year because they were super cheap), Can't see many people paying £54.99 for a brand new game digitally when you can get it for £40 - £45 pounds from Amazon etc.
Interesting times we are living in - wouldn't say I'm worried (yet), but Sony have definitely been making some weird/stupid decisions lately & would be bad if they slowly let all the goodwill they built up earlier this gen slowly erode away just as the next gen is on the horizon.
Umm, you guys post a deliberate & politically charged article and then expect users not to inject personal politics into their comments - that's like pulling the pin on a hand grenade and then hoping it doesn't go off.
Politics by their nature are poison & the very reason why they should be kept well away from video games - or if developers insist on including it then at least do it subtly or present a balanced viewpoint rather than openly baiting the opposition with your partisan politics & agendas, which is just guaranteed to piss most gamers off (which I'm guessing is what these bozos at paradox wanted by posting their clickbait statement in the first place).
I've been looking at this on Amazon for a few week's as I was going to pre-order, but they've still got 'dispatched within 1 to 2 months' against it and Part 2 down as still being released on March 19th (which obviously ain't going to happen now presumably).
Take's me back to my Neo Geo CD days (minus those crazy loading times).
Anyhow, this is looking promising so will keep an eye out for further announcements - hope they bring back my man Amakusa though ("Tokugawa you filth" - ah, brings back happy memories)
Soul Calibur VI is looking very tempting, although not sure whether to splurge now or wait till all DLC has been released and pick it up down the road.
King of Fighters XIV for £3.99 looks pretty sweet too.
Got my PS3 set up alongside my PS4 - love 'em both to bits & that's not about to change anytime soon as have way too many games in my backlog for both systems still to play through (my own fault for getting back into gaming at the tail end of last gen I suppose).
Unfortunately, it also means my Xbox One X doesn't get much of a look in presently, which is a shame as it's a great little machine for sure and I enjoyed playing through all the Gears games a few months ago (and still have The Witcher 2 to play yet), but Playstation is king right now for me.
Not sure it counts as a complaint, but I have to say I still think Black Flag is the better game personally (despite the desynchronisation nonsense, useless tail & eavesdrop missions and having to assault sea forts to open up the map etc).
While Odyssey is a good game it just felt overly bloated to me, after 90 hours I had just reached Olympia in the main story-line and still had half (if not more) of the map still to open/explore and had barely touched the Mercenaries/Cult of Kosmos stuff. At that point I literally couldn't bring myself to switch on the PS4 and play it anymore, so I did something I've never done before - I gave up and quit playing an open world/RPG without even completing the main story.
I'd like to think that I'll go back and finish it one day just to see how it ends, but I seriously doubt I will if I'm honest.
Nope, nothing - once you've woo'd them it's all over, no actual relationships or opportunities to talk to them again afterwards, they just become just blank slate NPC's & it's like nothing ever happened. Definitely not like a Bioware game for instance.
I thought the gunplay & cover system in the Division was pretty good, it was just the bullet sponge enemies & lack of a proper campaign that inevitably made playing solo lose its charm over time (and having to fork out for PS Plus), especially as most of the missions seemed to be the same 'go to location, defend, take a breather, defend again (maybe throwing in a mini boss here or there to spice things up).
Although I enjoyed the original and got my money's worth out of it playing solo, I'm not sure I'll bother playing Division 2 as I'm guessing it won't deviate too far from the same template etc.
Ubisoft done goofed, but it's not the end of the world (not for me anyway, after 90 hours I was way too fatigued to play it anymore and have no intention of jumping back in anytime soon).
The romances (while a welcome addition I thought) were pretty half baked anyway, as soon as you slept with someone that was it & then that character just became a non-interactive NPC for the rest of the game, even if you had them in your crew - if Ubisoft are going to continue adding this feature into future games then they need to work on it a bit more.
Thanks for the advice Monkey - I don't have PS Plus, but thought Kiwami was the original Yakuza, so yeah I definitely don't want to start off with that one then (LoL).
The original Life is Strange didn't really appeal to me with its time bending gameplay, but if the follow up is more a straightforward Telltale type game then sounds right up my alley.
Did look at Valkyria 4 too as it's also in the sale (although more expensive as it's a newer game), might pick up Chronicles Remastered though & if I really like it then I can pick up 4 later on as you say.
Had heard good things about the original Beyond Good & Evil and it's only about £3 in the sale (same with Saints Row 4) so think they're probably worth a punt at that price to add to my PS3 collection.
As JohnnyShoulder states above, the sheer number of "leaks" (deliberate or accidental) in the weeks/days leading up to E3 sort of ruins it a fair bit these days anyway, as now there are usually only one or two genuine surprises revealed from the actual show.
Having said that, I do still like E3 (and the other trade shows) and would be disappointed if this does eventually lead to its demise or irrelevance etc.
Personally, I just think Sony are taking a hiatus this year as they have nothing big/new to announce right now that hasn't been seen many times before already. E3 probably falls too early in the year for PS5 / PSVR 2 announcements and most of their 1st party teams are either still working on their next game or have only recently released a game this year, so think only Guerrilla Games would currently be in a position to reveal/show off something new (although whether they are working on a PS4 or PS5 game who knows).
Pretty sure the lacklustre Sony show last year, which was criticised despite them trying to do something a little bit different, probably had a major influence in this decision also.
Still think E3 will be worth watching though (providing other developers don't now follow Sony's lead and start to drop out). Hopefully, it also means that Microsoft and Phil Spencer will really up their game this time round and show/announce some good new exclusives rather than just relying on 3rd party trailers and "world's most powerful console" to see them through like this year's show.
Interesting times indeed, but no need to panic or set alarm bells ringing just yet methinks !

Anyway, looking forward to giving this game a whirl at the end of April.
