The release window for the new Samurai Shodown game coming to PS4 just got a little less vague. The title is now due to arrive in "early Summer", and it's getting a simultaneous worldwide launch.
What's more, SNK's released a new gameplay trailer. It's a short one, clocking in at just under a minute, but it gives you some idea of how the game's going to look.
Despite the fact that it won't be launching for at least a few months, Samurai Shodown has actually been named as one of Evo 2019's main stage titles. The event begins on the 2nd August, so let's hope that Samurai Shodown has enough time to prove that it's tournament ready.

I've known about this series for a billion years and only just realised it was spelled "Shodown."
I've never actually been able to play Samurai Shodown. It's something I need to get into.
Art style is very good, it's like a prettier Street Fighter IV.
It looks really lovely, very tempted by this!
Take's me back to my Neo Geo CD days (minus those crazy loading times).
Anyhow, this is looking promising so will keep an eye out for further announcements - hope they bring back my man Amakusa though ("Tokugawa you filth" - ah, brings back happy memories)
