Re: After a Rocky Launch, the Entire Team Behind PS5 Racer Wreckreation Might Be Laid Off

StitchJones

@JayJ I hear you. I love all their exclusives and 3rd person action games. I hope they never stop making them. However, I agree we need some diversity. They need a shooter. Killzone was like a cult classic, esp with the multiplayer, but honestly I loved that games online component. It was a nice alternative to COD and BF. Resistance 3's multiplayer was a ton of fun as well as being a great FPS campaign. Already stated Motorstorm needs to come back, would fill an arcade racer void.

The problem is that game dev'ing takes way too freaking long these days. Minimum 5yrs between AAA IP. So I understand why we're getting what we're getting. But I think the number of 1st party devs needed to grow, so you can put other teams on a FPS shooter, arcade racer, etc. Or maybe don't give them Live service crap and let them make some diff genre's. Idk man, the games industry is a crazy beast all around.

Re: ARC Raiders Was the Most Googled Game of 2025, with Clair Obscur and Split Fiction Topping GTA 6

StitchJones

@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah, the game def gets glazed alot. I'm glad people are enjoying it. I don't agree with hating on a game when its not your thing. But there's also the reverse of that in this day and age that's equally cringey, where the people who love it are cult like and need to glaze it and pound it in your head that said game is GOAT status. Games are so subjective like music and movies. Everyone has different tastes. But in other forms of media, people don't try to push their beliefs on others like in gaming. Not even in sports. People don't try to convert other sports fan's into liking whatever their team is. Gaming is a very unique beast in society.

Re: Black Ops 7 Dominates PS5 Downloads Despite Backlash

StitchJones

The casual audience will always like COD because it takes zero skill to hold your own in any match. And if you do happen to have some twitchy shooter chops you can easily pop off min. 25+kills a match. Battlefield makes you work for your kills. I can picture the yearly excl. COD player running into the open trying to be Rambo in a match of Breakthrough or Conquest and getting pasted, over and over and over. lmao

Re: This RAM Crisis Is Looking Like a Nightmare for the PS6

StitchJones

I'm surprised greedy Microsoft hasn't tried to buy up every single supply chain, factory floor, company etc that has anything to do with manufacturing RAM, to try to corner every electronics industry on the planet. Not just gaming. Since their motto with xbox has always been "don't invest in home grown dev's to make quality AAA 1st party games, just buy everyone out and have them do it" (or at least try) lmao

Re: PS5 Action RPG The God Slayer Getting Full Support from Sony, First Gameplay Footage Is Jaw-Dropping

StitchJones

It looks like it has alot of promise, nice to see new things. But it seems to suffer from an identity crisis IMO. The backdrop is obv Asian flavored overall, but then has a bit of steampunk vibe. Then it looks uber futuristic like a transformer's movie with that big mech looking boss throwing buses around. Just some observations, but I'm all for new IP so. Willing to be patient.

Re: PS5 Players Ponder Avowed Port as Xbox RPG Delays Its 'Biggest Update Yet'

StitchJones

@ButterySmooth30FPS You're abso right. I tried this on gamepass awhile ago. Everything was just so hokey like that to me. I prefer more serious tones for those types of games. Its ashame, cause if you remember the debut trailer, it had a dark fantasy theme ala Darksouls.

Then the usual Xbox smoke and mirros was revealed and the game turned out to be colorful like outerworlds and too whimsical like harry potter.

Re: PS5 Players Ponder Avowed Port as Xbox RPG Delays Its 'Biggest Update Yet'

StitchJones

@ApostateMage that's the only problem I had with outerworlds2. I just beat it this past weekend and enjoyed the experience. But after so many hours, I was ready to be done with it. Skyrim/new vegas were the last 2 great Obsidian/Bethesda developed and style RPG's. Its seems like they lost all their special sauce. With Fromsoft, they seem to exceed expectations and their own chops with every release. Look at the evolution of what Elden ring was.

Starfield was just ok, but forgotten about fast. That game should have been epic. Avowed, outerworlds 1 & 2.....Solid but not even close to the level of Old school Bethesda likes.

Re: Ghost of Yotei Gets 'Incredible' PS5 Pro Frame Rate Boost Thanks to New Patch

StitchJones

@DennisReynolds @Kiefer-Sutherland i know patches for bugs have been around for ages, i was talking performance updates. STRICTLY PERFORMANCE UPDATES! UNDERSTAND!?!?! PERFORMANCE UPDATES!

Like raising FRAME RATES, raising RESOLUTION, stuff like that. UNDERSTAND??? That's what my initial comment was referring to. Max performance should be achieved at launch. Fix bugs later, as usual. I get it. Do you get it?? Obv not, doesn't seem like you understand.

Maaaannn, you guys replying to me, are misconstruing every post i make about this, or you all wanna hear something diff. I think this is a case of "my beloved yotei and sucker punch" from you guys and you want to hear something different and not someone who is going against the grain as to what they are doing with this game here. There's no way you can misconstrue what I said so easily so this is fanboyism at its finest by you guys on display here.

That said, this debate is pointless. I'm out.

Re: Red Dead Redemption PS5 Trophies Same as PS4, Easy Platinum Trophy

StitchJones

@DennisReynolds let them whine, I don't care. Do we have any stock purchased in peoples minds that is affected by whether they complain or not and it affects our investments? lol no.

At least a total remake made with the RDR2 engine, running at 60fps would be worth repackaging. That's all i'm saying. There's even a video Digital foundry made on how pointless this game re-release is. So many share this sentiment.

Re: Rumour: Cyberpunk 2077 News Teased for 5th Anniversary

StitchJones

Another cryptic teaser, probably for 10 new poses in photo mode. I abso love this game, one of my faves. But stop with this nonsense, unless you are going to surprise everyone with more DLC. Phantom Liberty was one of the best expansions in the history of games. Why just make 1 expansion, for a game here that sold 35+ million? But didn't they already say Phantom was gonna be a one and only?

Re: Ghost of Yotei Gets 'Incredible' PS5 Pro Frame Rate Boost Thanks to New Patch

StitchJones

Listen, I loved this game and love SP. But I beat this game awhile ago and I invested in a ps5pro on launch day. Dev's need to stop this crap. Put the game out in its ultimate state at launch please!!!! I invested all the $$$$ in pro to have all these bell's and whistles while I play the game, not when its shelved and beaten. I'm happy for others, but man!

Its not just SP, I'm not picking on them. A ton dev's have been doing this crap for years now.

Re: Geoff Keighley's Cryptic Post Has Fans Speculating Wildly About The Game Awards Announcement

StitchJones

@GirlVersusGame Def not how E3 was. Cause there are still awards to give out. What I'm saying is, its the closest thing we have to E3 now, since its death. For announcements anyways. Gamescom is more of a games focused event like E3 was, but Sony barely has a presence there. They've sat out gamescom 6yrs now. There's no real bangers revealed there like E3 used to have by any of the companies.

That said, Intergalactic being announced at last years game awards outshined any announcement out of any of the remaining shows by far.

Plus witcher 4 was shown for the first time as well as Okami 2 revealed, Elden ring nightreign revealed, split fiction revealed, Yakuza dev's new game revealed, Fumito's (ico, shadow of collosus) new game revealed, Dispatch revealed, Onimusha reboot revealed, NG:ragebound revealed and there's more, but you get the point.

So yeah, thats a laundry list of great games revealed at last years GA's. No show since the death of E3 can touch that list. Since thats the case and E3 is dead, give me GA's all night long once a year so we have at least something.

Re: Geoff Keighley's Cryptic Post Has Fans Speculating Wildly About The Game Awards Announcement

StitchJones

@MrGawain I know you are kind of joking, but Geoff is known to be cringey with his hype trains that turn out to be jack sh**. Not on the level of promoting Doritos/mountain dew, but on a gaming level that is far from needing a cryptic post with some art, or ingame screenshot he posted for whatever this is. If its DLC for a game that's been out for 5 to 10yrs, that will be gross

Re: Geoff Keighley's Cryptic Post Has Fans Speculating Wildly About The Game Awards Announcement

StitchJones

@GirlVersusGame i agree with you 100%, more about the company for sure. Honestly, I don't like any kind of pre-show hype and/or cryptic posts at all, for any game new/old/DLC, nothing. I am old school and still miss the early days of E3. I like to find things out organically by just watching the shows and being surprised.

This is why i was pissed about the colin moriarty and the other guy posting about intergalactic a month before this years show, saying that it will not be at the GA's this year. That was my soul reason to get hyped for the show this year, becuase I'm a huge ND fan and was certain that Intergalactic trailer #2 would be there, since its fairly far into development and it hasn't been shown since last Dec. But no, all this pre-show internet chatter shot that down a month in advance. I hate that.

I will still be turning in obv, cause GA's basically being E3 now, you know Sony will have some surprises to show. But Intergalactic has me so intrigued. I'm dying to see what exactly that game is all about. can't help but get hyped over ND doing their first brand new IP since TLOU came out 13yrs ago this coming June

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Now at a Staggering 35 Million Sales as Work on Sequel Continues to Ramp Up

StitchJones

@ApostateMage yes totally 100%. I think they thought it was a good choice at the time because of the issues RED engine was having with cyberpunk. But after they ironed it all out, the game turned out fantastic. It should have never been made for ps4/xboone and delayed by 6months+ and it would have prob turned out fine at the gate.

Now seeing UE5 is the crap show of engines this whole gen, I wonder if CDPR has regrets at all, or are they just planning to optimize the crap out of witcher 4 and delay it 10 times if they got to lol

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Now at a Staggering 35 Million Sales as Work on Sequel Continues to Ramp Up

StitchJones

@ApostateMage One of my faves of all time, we are in the same boat basically. Are you like me hoping that they don't use UE5 for the sequel? I think the RED engine gave that game all its charm and its unique look. I really can't imagine a sequel being in any other engine. We don't get a lot of cyberpunk themed RPG's like this in gaming, so I want them to preserve as much appeal from the 1st game as possible.

Re: Talking Point: Does PS5 Have a Sequel Problem?

StitchJones

When the AAA 1st party IP's take 5+ years to make regardless of whether they are sequels or not, sure as hell doesn't give the machine a sequel problem. If they were pumping out games like the old days on ps1, then maybe. The fact is, it just takes way too much time and the dev's have to commit the half decade plus to their best chances of succeeding. They play it safe because this industry is hard to take risks.

Re: You Can Buy a Fully-Fledged PS5 for the Same Price as a Less Powerful Xbox Series S Right Now

StitchJones

@Dogbreath I agree with you 100%. but what I can't seem to wrap my head around is, MS is a greedy anti consumer corporation, esp with Xbox. If they want to get out of this business, I don't see them hesitating in just ripping the bandaid off and saying "see ya!!!!, its been real, but we're out". They don't give a rats behind what their dedicated players that love their ecosystem think. If a corp. like that wants out, they get out.

As a matter of fact, they've been making themselves look like bigger fools the way they've been handling business, by changing their tune and prices on things every other week it seems this past year esp
