@get2sammyb games are a very subjective medium, driven by personal tastes. What is gold to one, could be garbage to another and vice versa, no matter what either side says about it. So idk?

You don't have to be a lifelong fan of a game developer to know if they put out a good or bad product.

@AtlasLivesAgain @OmegaStriver I was really into the multiplayer for awhile after I beat the campaign back when it came out. But it seemed that it was a flash in the pan. It was pretty good, but was a bit shallow in unlocking upgrades, leveling up and very few maps. I prefer deeper MP like Battlefield. I lost track, how is it now, a little deeper, or is it more cosmetic type additions and a map or two?

This game was great. We dont get alot of ps3/360 era kinda shooters, with Gears vibes any more like this. Wish they would just concentrate on a sequel though. Add in more funding since this one was well received and the next one could be a showstopper.

@Northern_munkey They won't put environmental destruction in their games, because Beavis, Butthead and Nicki Minaj are their main consultants during preproduction. Why do you think their skins are in the game? All 3 of them fought in 'Nam and said crumbling buildings during war just don't happen, it's unrealistic.

@wildcat_kickz I'm totally with you. The art style, the world, the characters, how they tie Tesla into the game with the weapons, its horror elements with the werewolves. I mean, come on. Its got triple AAA written all over it with the proper dev. Naughty dog would really hit it out of the park, or Insomniac for sure since they are good with inventive weapons being in Ratchet and all. Its such a shame.

@Oram77 I think video games fit into movies and music when talking about "the GOAT". How can anything be a GOAT in a medium that is 100% subjective and based on individual tastes? But I totally agree, GOAT talk for this game especially, is very cringey.

@wildcat_kickz There was an amazing game hidden in The Order 1886 and it could have been turned into a crazy good series. The IP was just in the wrong hands. I will die on that hill.

I'm not into turned based games. But the art direction and story seemed top notch. So idk.

@psmr Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. I prefer the RPG style AC's. I skipped Black Flag, so I might try anyways, just because its one the beloved ones in the series by most people. But will prob wait till its 30%+ off in a holiday sale.

Insomniac are crazy good devs. Its ashame they are locked into IP that already exist and have the assets pretty much made up for them already, instead of seeing them flex their chops like other dev's and see what they can create. Sony could have easily put Bend, or even Bluepoint on Marvel if they wanted to, to free up Insomniac to be creative.

They literally walk up to the lead artist and say "our next two games are gonna be Spidey and Wolverine. Here's what we need our protagonists to look like." Proceeds to just hand him a picture of Spider Man and Wolverine. "duhhhhhhhh, i'll have it all done in a few days boss!"

And then on top, you add in the biggest media release ever for mankind, dogs, cats, Martians, even aliens from Nebulon-5 system, to Kpax in the constellation Lyra with GTA6 and the fall slew gets even more bonkers!

That's the sweet spot IMO for RPG's like this. Not crazy like Crimson Desert at 100+ hours, but def long enough to take your time and get totally lost in its world for multiple weeks. Here's to hoping this is a great Witcher-like in the making.

Can never have too many action RPG's. Not all of them succeed, so the more the better. Hopefully this thing can catch the spirt of the Witcher, but in a new IP. Would be great to have a brand new Witcher-like to look forward to every gen

Not surprised. Steelrising was subpar, not even close to the level of Non-from souls likes such as Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen. And then for some odd reason, instead of building upon what made Greedfall a pretty good game, they turn the gameplay totally upside down and made it a turned based RPG, instead of iterating on what was already good. So dumb.

With the passing of Chuck Norris, there needs to be a special event match playable in the game. Bruce Lee vs. Chuck Norris, no octagon, Roman colosseum

@cainhurst94 you might be onto something, because since Hennig left Naughty Dog, she hasn't shipped 1 freakin' game yet. She left in 2014 haha 12yrs of nothing, zero, zilch, nada, not even a side of fries, forget a main course.

I miss the Uncharted and TLOU multiplayer. Not only were they great multiplayer games, but they were also different being in 3rd person. Esp at that time when Battlefield, COD, Killzone and resistance were all the most played MP games and all 1st person.

TLOU and Uncharted also had some great inventive mechanics you would expect from ND but in the MP space.

Its was a case of sabotage, a conspiracy and Bungie is undercover working as a double agent. Bungie saw how great TLOUmp was, didn't want anything competing with Marathon since they already knew that was gonna have mediocre reception, so told Sony "this thing aint gonna work!!!! No sir-eeeeeee!"

I can't understand the complaints because nobody holds a gun to anyone's head and makes them buy them if they don't want. So take that Grandma!!! I find it hilarious when a dev releases a broken game that should have been baked more to bad reviews. Doesn't make any money and is helpless. Then they scramble to bring it to more platforms to try and rob a different group of people blind to recoup their dev costs.

Whatever their "right decision" is that's coming, will be changed 200 times between now and the middle of next gen. So....grain of salt
