Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Gets Yet Another Surprise Patch on PS5

StitchJones

I adore this game and love cyberpunk themes in general so I'm biased, but I finally moved on from this. Too much new stuff to play. I can't wait for the sequel though which is probably an eternity away. I just have a bad feeling about CDPR going to UE5 for their next games. And the RED engine gave this game its own charm

@lazarus11 When I leave a reference of people who break these things down for a living (digital foundry) and they agree with the sentiment that SP got lazy with their engine for this sequel, but you continue to spew your fanboyism, that pretty much tells me you are not reasonable to talk to and just believe your opinion and word is gospel. That said, have fun with others in here that are willing to entertain your biased remarks. Later....

@lazarus11 dude don't start with the "compressed youtube video scapegoat BS" if you watch digital foundries impressions and breakdown of this game's first trailers, they straight up said that the engine used and graphics are surprisingly way more similar to Got's then they were anticipating, with way less improvements then they envisioned SP would implement on a totally new gen of hardware for their sequel. Nice try though.

@KundaliniRising333 I've agreed with you on the lack of improvements multiple articles on this game now. You can't even critique a game these days in comments without the games fanboys jumping down your throat. I just ignore them. Again, we agree. I was hoping for much better fidelity. This is a Sony 1st party title, its sophomore effort in a now huge newer franchise, on a more powerful console in a new gen and it looks way too similar to GoT. I think SP got lazy. I will buy this day one regardless, but we can still critique if we wish.

@AhmadSumadi "The technological gains we had from past generations....." What technological gains? Last time I checked every game releases broken now on console and on PC. Seems like we going backwards technologically. I admit it looks like SP got lazy and didn't upgrade their engine enough of Yotei. But if it runs perfectly and isn't a broken mess of a game, then I guess we have to sacrifice the visual upgrade we all predicted this game would have. Idk maybe ps6 they'll upgrade their engine. I'm sure they are done now until then

@Ricky-Spanish I used to be a 2 console gamer (playstation/xbox) but preferred PS for 3rd party and always liked their 1st party stable better. But now I just ignore everything xbox does at this point. My seriesX has been nothing but a dust collector this gen. I'll never buy another xbox console again. So many games out now to play. Who cares what a trillion $$$ company is doing, that we have no stock in?

@Vaako007 @KundaliniRising333 Another thing that makes this disappointing and its not Yotei's fault, but there's a need for some 1st party games to wow us already technically. We are deep in ps5 and still waiting. Two heavy hitters in GOW:Rag and Horizon:FW already went this gen. But they were cross platform and held back. Horizon should have been running on the Death Stranding 2 ver. of Decima . I'm not the biggest GOW fan but Both Horizon games were fantastic regardless, so its not the biggest deal. But when those games take over 5yrs and $500mill to make, you kind of want them optimal to whatever hardware they are on. But Sony forced the cross platform BS too much. GOW: rag is like Yotei but even looks more identical to GOW before it. That game should have been a tech showpiece for ps5, but instead it looked like just another decent ps4 game

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metal Gear Solid Delta?

StitchJones

This is a bit off topic, but it still fits due to UE5 and how its plagued all these games. But this whole thing has me worried for Witcher 4 and the next Cyberpunk. I hope CDPR doesn't regret moving to UE5 for those games. Cause after they ironed out Cyberpunk, that game and its engine turned out amazing. The Red engine also gave Cyberpunk and Witcher its own personality which was awesome. Will that be lost now with UE5, before we even get to the possible tech issues? No sir, don't like it!

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metal Gear Solid Delta?

StitchJones

@Rich33 I hope you're wrong about Oblivion. I bought that day one, but after I heard about the tech issues, its sitting on my pro waiting for fixing before I start. Guess I'll file this game like Oblivion but at least I didn't buy this one yet. This whole state of games in their release form is getting disgusting.

@KundaliniRising333 IKR. with every video, instead of getting excited for this game, 2 things always go through my mind. 1, the enemy AI seems terrible. 2, I can't help but wonder if they just used the same engine as the first game. It looks almost identical. I'm sure this game will be fantastic, I will get it day one regardless. But with all this time between and a new gen of hardware, I figured I'd be wowed
