For as much criticism as Ubisoft gets, we’ll always commend the publisher for its post-release support.
It really does do a brilliant job of keeping the communities of its games alive, and this story is yet another example of that.
Tom Clancy’s The Division – the original New York instalment, released in 2016 – has been updated to take full advantage of PS5 backwards compatibility, meaning it’ll now run at 60fps on Sony’s new-gen hardware.
This is a free patch, so you don’t need to pay for an upgrade or anything: just update your game to the latest version, and you’ll benefit from the faster framerate.
We obviously don’t know how many people are still playing this game, but clearly, it’s more than enough to get a little love from its dev. And we think this is a really nice touch for those still enjoying the almost 10-year-old shooter.
Will you be returning to the snowy streets of New York and giving this update a go? Gun us down in the comments section below.
