Re: Resident Evil Requiem Is Up for Pre-Order Now, Deluxe Edition Revealed

StitchJones

@IntrepidWombat I guess for those who preorder digitally, you can initiate download on psn from your phone on launch day while you sit in front of gamestop lol. Or if you miss doing the midnight thing, you can do all that in front of gamestop at 12:01am. All jokes aside, i don't get it either. I always used to preorder back in the day to safeguard not getting a copy from gamestop cause they might be sold out.

Re: Generative AI Won't Be Creating the Next GTA, Says Take-Two Boss

StitchJones

Its pretty evident that in the future many things, especially games and developers where the devs want to protect the integrity of what they do, will have a catch phrase like "proudly made in (insert your country here)" has been around for ages.

Only here the slogan will be "proudly made by real devs, no AI used in the making of this product" or something to that degree.

With that said, I see the better devs of this industry (fromsoft, R*, Naughty Dog, Insomniac) will pride themselves in not using it. So I am not worried about this one bit. i think its a big overaction. Smaller studios that put out broken messes may use it, but they weren't gonna get your money anyways, so whatever.

Re: Sony Bend's PS5 Game Cancellation Could Be Seen Coming, Says Ex Dev

StitchJones

@Oram77 If Sony Brass was smart, they would have put Bend on a reboot of the Socom series for a multiplayer shooter. They did the syphon filter games. Not sure who is left there, but between the 3rd person action that was syphon filter and days gone, I'm sure they would have had enough chops to get Socom going again. There's not enough 3rd person competitive online shooters in our world. I think it would have done great

Re: Sony Bend's PS5 Game Cancellation Could Be Seen Coming, Says Ex Dev

StitchJones

@Oram77 the crazy part is, even though I could care less if we ever got a day's gone sequel, if they were just put on that instead of any live service then they prob would have launched days gone 2 by now if you look at the dev cycle. That would have been much better then no game at all, whether you liked the first one and thought it should have gotten a sequel or not.

Re: Battlefield REDSEC Is BF6's Free-to-Play Battle Royale Mode, and It's Out Now on PS5

StitchJones

@ThroughTheIris56 maybe it was, because this update broke the game. There's my issue I posted about here and the discussion board on EA forums have lit up with all kinds of tech issues post update. I swear, this series is jinxed. It was running flawless until they updated. I got the battlepass and was looking forward to a nice day long, fun grind today. Was having a blast with this game since launch day.

Just when you thought a flawless launch squashed any bad vibes they built with their past games, esp 2042. Now its back to the crap show right now.

I know they can hotfix this fast and I'll be patient, but still. Online games post updates all the time and can present some new bugs. But this update totally broke the game and its unplayable in this state. Good ol' Battlefield.

Re: Battlefield REDSEC Is BF6's Free-to-Play Battle Royale Mode, and It's Out Now on PS5

StitchJones

Is anyone else having video issues with game on ps5pro, or ps5 (im playing on pro) since the update? In the middle of the match, everything stays on the screen, hud, icons, etc but the graphics cut out to a black screen, can still move around, but can't see. On death you respawn back fine, no problem, but happens a couple times per match

This game was running flawless for me before this update and ive been playing it alot

Re: Cancelled God of War PS5 Game Leaks in Screenshots

StitchJones

@Oram77 demons souls was fantastic as a launch game. just imagine how amazing they would re-do bloodborne. If they weren't appointed this waste, we could even be playing it right now as our halloween game if you look at the timeline. They haven't gone since hardware day1 so.

Re: Arc Raiders Wants You to Play into the PS6 Generation and Beyond

StitchJones

@Damage99 I hear you. All fair points. I ended up going back to Division 2 over most of the summer as my go to online game. It was unexpected and I did it by chance to scratch an itch. But for months I enjoyed every bit of it and they added new stuff and there was a DLC I never played. Im over it now, but that game will be 6yrs old this March. There's so much more action and firefights, main missions, side missions, story, on top of the grinding, crafting and leveling up gear and systems. And that game still got old.

ARC raiders seems to be missing all that action to give you a reason to grind. As a Division player I thought for sure this would be a day1 buy for me. But I have no interest. Kinda bummed by that. But with all that said, with it being such a passive game for a grind fest, IDK how this thing has legs after a year or two.

Unless they do a No man's sky and read all the input from the outside and add new design choices as the game is live to up the action

Re: Arc Raiders Wants You to Play into the PS6 Generation and Beyond

StitchJones

@Damage99 I say this out of all due respect, because I'm glad there's many who will love this game and I'm glad for that. Its just way too boring to me and passive. But with all that said, for someone who does like this game, do you honestly think that this gameplay loop has decade long legs like they're saying?

Re: Arc Raiders Wants You to Play into the PS6 Generation and Beyond

StitchJones

I tried the server slam really thinking i was gonna love this game and day1 it. But this just isn't for me. There's hardly any action. Its way too passive compared to like The Division. Half the time I wondered why I needed a weapon at all. I respect those who will love this though. To each his/her own. But for this to keep going 10yrs+, IDK.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 604

StitchJones

I still have the same "WISHFUL THINKING" list from last week on top of playing cronos/battlefield.

Im ready for the next soulsborne done by fromsoft themselves. And still have an immense itch for a modernized TLOU multiplayer suite. Just standard TDM and such like the 1st, not some games as service thing.

Re: Xbox Boss Believes Sony's Strategy of Console Exclusives Is 'Antiquated'

StitchJones

@JoeNobody Not only is he mad that his consoles sales are in the crapper, they are obv sour that next gen will be lost for them as well. The consensus of most podcasts, sites, comment sections etc is that everyone seems done supporting xbox's hardware. So next gen for them is already DOA. I don't really know why they are bothering tbh. I used to be a 2 console guy, PS favored. But xbox will never get another cent from me.

Re: STALKER 2 Shows Off Its PS5 Version in New Gameplay Trailer

StitchJones

@LordOfTurnips @Oxy Oxy, not sure why you turned all snarky on me. I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I'm just saying that with physical copies I thought people bought them for collecting over everything else. I buy all digital and never been a collector, so I don't know what the mindset is on this. I was just trying to learn and was curious.

And LordOfTurnips, thank you. You beat me to it. Since he did take the time to get snarky for no reason, then I was gonna add to my reply that the bookcase comparison is indeed very idiotic.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Battlefield 6?

StitchJones

I'm really liking it and happy BF is back! But only thing that bugs me and alot of online shooters are doing this now, I hate how the unlocks for gear and such are tethered to other classes, gear etc that you really don't want to use. I hate being forced to play a game I paid $70 for in a way that I really don't want to.

Re: Former God of War Dev Says Major Studios Should Make Smaller Games to Complement the Big Ones

StitchJones

I thought this article was gonna be about Jaffe when I read the title and I was gonna instantly discredit his opinion on this cause I can't stand that dude. He can't go on anyones podcast without spewing hate for most Sony 1st party and can't go 10mins without saying something like "with my god of war game.....", "with my twisted metal game....." even when its off topic. Seems like that man is sour as F with Sony. He even said he hates Aloy so much he wants to punch her in the face. Lmao. He dissed Kojima too, said he was overrated on a LSM podcast.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 603

StitchJones

my "WISHFUL THINKING" list

I have an itch for a modernized TLOU multiplayer. Not the live service they tried, but just like TLOU1's mulitplayer. But updated with the newer engine/controls, new maps, modes, etc.

and Elden Ring has been a minute, so I'm so ready for a Soulsborne, but by Fromsoft themselves. Not Nightreign style, a single player experience.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 603

StitchJones

@Metonymy its funny you should say that, cause I'm going from Yotei to Cronos and I'm also enjoying the slower pace to counter and slow my brain down a bit post-Yotei. I tend to strategically plan what kind of game i start after the other. That said, you are positioned nice to transition from Cronos to Yotei. Yotei was amazing!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 603

StitchJones

@KundaliniRising333 No, please don't apologize. I appreciate you responding and explaining. Like I said, this game was totally on my radar in a big way, so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something here. After a few hours I've come to conclusion that this game is just not for me. That's prob my fault. I made up in my head what I thought it was going to be and I also jumped on the beta hype train that other players created.

I'm with you, Socom was excellent. I abso loved Division 1 and Esp 2. Division 2 is right in between them all. Its very tactical, alot of systems with gear, but can still be fast paced at times with huge fire fights. For 1st person live service, nothing beats Remnant 2 for me. But that is very fast paced, hence it being in 1st person I suppose. But the gear is very tactical and how things are in a puzzle of sorts was brilliant.

Oh well, at least I have a huge backlog to get through. I just wanted a live service itch to be scratched in terms of a post apocolyptic shooter since Division 3 is prob gonna be a next gen game yrs from now. Thought it would be ARC raiders, but apparently not.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 603

StitchJones

@KundaliniRising333 Can you or someone please explain ARC raiders to me? 1st time player here, server slam. I don't get it, whats the point of this game? I drop in with matchmade dudes, loot wires/metals etc in buildings, maybe shoot a few occasional drones and extract. Buy gear, craft gear, just to wash/rinse/repeat. Where the hell is all the action and firefights at? Only once I ran into a rogue team looking to steal.

I really thought I was gonna love it, after reading beta feedback and jumping on that hype train. I guess I thought there was gonna be action/events/missions similar to The Division. I was wrong for labeling it that before playing, but, maybe I'm just missing something here.

I had this tabbed an instant day one buy until I played this. This game is a clunky pointless mess, until maybe someone shows me the light lol
