@AnginaPectoris @WolfyTn yeah, this dude might be getting paid. To say one of the best in the biz's vision for games should be questioned now, because of how a protagonist looks. Grade A clown show this guy, or maybe still salty 6yrs later for killing off Joel. If he's that attached to Joel then I guess that might swing the conversation back into sex but now questioning the orientation of this guy.
Whatever, they can keep all their "bro man. like dude" games slop over there. And when they go out the door, before it hits them in the a** on the way out, make sure they take the broken messes like starfield with them too.
Ok so make him a bald chick? Oh no, everyone will definitely, DEFINITELY have a problem with that. So make him and hot girl like Eve from Stellar Blade? Oh no, that might be better, but many will find a problem with that. So just make him an AI cyborg? Oh no, everyone will just call the dev lazy for using AI slop.
IDK????? everyone seems to have a problem with every protagonist there is these days, no matter what. So just make all games 1st person and voiceless moving forward.
@Oram77 thats not even close to being a glazer. A glazer to me is when somebody has to preach over and over that a game, which is universally talked about as being mediocre, is actually amazing and they need to pound it into your head that "you should like this game no matter what!!!!"
@Oram77 This is why I laugh when dudes on here complain that Sony dev's take 5 to 7yrs to put out games. I'd gladly put in the wait when we get games like TLOU, Saros/Returnal, Yotei and we all know Intergalactic is gonna be a showstopper!!!! I won't even get into Insomniacs epic offerings, we all know the deal.

It was 007 legends all the way back in 2012 on ps3, 360, wiiU, PC. Wow that's 14 years ago. I wonder why there's been no 007 games for 14 years????
Because nobody cares about 007 enough for there to be a market for the IP in video games. There would be more 007 games if there was. Sorry just stating facts here. Dont shoot the messenger now, ya hear???
@Casco everyone was locked indoors, businesses were closed, schools closed, homeschooling and working from home, no sports being played of any kind either. Alot of movies and shows got watched in 2021 during the pandemic when that movie came out. TV/Movies actually benefitted from it.
Not sure how we even got into the 007 movies. My initial comment had only to do with this game that nobody is really talking about. I mean this article only has 20 comments. 4 of them are mine and yours, with this quick back and forth. So no, nobody seems to care about this game.
Anyone else got the vibes that this game is just gonna be kinda solid and competent, maybe a gamefly or sale purchase at best in the end and then forgotten about fast??? Idk, something just seems off about this title. Could it be that OO7 in general just doesn't have much IP power anymore in these modern times? It could just be me and I get that. Whoever is stoked I hope it turns out great for you
@Westernwolf4 If Dawnwalker can turn into this great new IP, then I can't wait, esp when its an RPG that has some similarities to Witcher. I am cautious whenever the PR says "developed by former witcher or (insert game here) devs" But it is nice to have a dev studio with vets who "should" know their sh**. So we shall see. Can never have too many great RPG's IMO
@wildcat_kickz No, I hear you. I was just joking about him being nice to then turn around and poach. But we both agree, he does seem to think very highly of himself. Its fine to be a confident person in life. Self-doubt can be a plague. But there's a big difference between confidence and cockiness
@wildcat_kickz Not trying to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but maybe all that praise was strategic, so when the time came he could poach dev's. I'm sure he didn't decide this overnight hahaha
@D6rkLordS6t6n Your quote here, precisely.....
"I want to do it right." Who does he think wanted to "do it wrong"?
Dont get me wrong I love Troy and his performances. He really is a great talent in the industry. But after watching Grounded 1&2: the making of the last of us. And seeing him in some other BTS's and podcasts over the years, he kinda comes off like a real cocky dude, that's high on himself. IDK for sure, just seems that way.
@wildcat_kickz Oh 100%, you are spot on man. The problem is, he's been on the inside and knows who the rockstars are from each developer. I'm worried he might try to poach talent. That would be low of him and really start a backlash. But as you said, so many dev's have been getting canned like tuna with all the closures, so do them a solid and employ them.
@Westernwolf4 hahaha I know right? That firehose you speak of is the GTA6 affect. And when they delayed GTA out of last year, it just extended this constant flow of releases. Its great!
This is a brand new Dev who are a collection of vets, so we don't know what they might be capable of. That said, what if they said "surprise, its coming out in 2 weeks"........? You can't shadow drop a game like this, but that would be the next closest thing.
"I can't stand it, I know you planned it"
"I'm gonna set it straight, this Watergate"
"You're scheming on a thing that's a mirage"
"I'm trying to tell you now, it's sabotage"
"Our backs are now against the wall?"
"Listen all y'all, it's a sabotage"
Wow, when I read this headline, I think to myself, that this is the kind of thing that can go really freakin' well and be an epic idea for him. Or it can be the kind of thing that can go really, really bad, backfire and change his image for the worse. With no in between.
Just don't start poaching people from Naughty Dog and other studios Troy, or this industry will be very unkind to you.
@AverageGamer Ok they tried it with one title? Doesn't matter, because it didn't cut into their single player output at all so.... thats the big difference. We are sitting here 6 yrs into ps5 and naughty dog hasn't even released a native ps5 game yet. Still waiting on intergalactic and there's only been one trailer. They clearly got set back by their TLOU GAAS try, which was ultimately cancelled. And that's just one Sony example. I don't need to list them all, its old news and well all already know about it.
@somnambulance You know whats funny, alot of Dev's are chasing this GAAS bs, not just Sony. And I picture Capcom at their headquarters the last few years laughing saying to each other "let all these fools fight each other out in the red sea over games as a service and we'll drop 4 amazing single player 9/10 bombs all over the industry in a years time"..." we'll even give everyone an amazing new IP that will blow their minds (pragmata)"
@Oram77 I wasn't talking in terms of GOTY. I was saying for when Capcom should release Oni. If their dev'ing is starting to slip later into the year and Oni is ready to go but ends up too close to the release of GTA6, they should just delay Oni until JAN/FEB. That's what I meant.
This is gonna be a new franchise to some. Alot of people won't' have any nostalgia or attachment to it. The 4 mainline Oni's came out 2001 to 2006. There's a ton of gamers who weren't even born then, but now are in their teen's to 20's or however. So releasing that too close to GTA wouldn't be wise.
@Oram77 The only hitch it may have is if it slips too far into the year, and ends up in the crosshairs of GTA6. Will just makes sense to make it a JAN/FEB game if that's the case.
@Rich33 We are still yet to see how Interstellar is gonna look. If trailer #1 is any indication, its looking great. As you say, Sony has some great in house engines. TLOU1 and TLOU2 look amazing, with Interstellar being the first proper ps5 game. So Naughty dog prob has a heavily modified TLOU engine (idk what they named their engine) in use for Interstellar. Can't wait to see trailer #2. Its gotta be coming soon.
@Rich33 Capcom are masters at optimizing their games, just like how Guerilla and Kojima are masters at optimizing Decima engine. For me, Decima is the premier engine this gen, RE engine a very close 2nd. Only because Decima has been put to the test in a busy open world with Horizon and looks/runs fantastic, whereas I don't think RE has really been pushed too the limits much. Not even with MH. But RE is perfect for Revil and Pragmata. Those single player epics, in confined spaces.
I can't wait to see what Horizon 3 is gonna look like on ps6. I know Kojima hasn't decided on what engine he's using for Physint. At least publicly. I'm sure it has already been decided internally. I don't think that game is in full production yet, but an engine has got to be decided on. Unless it was released in some interview and I just didn't hear about it.
I hope it's Decima. I want to see the ps6 ver. of Decima pushed by both Guerilla and Kojima once again. And speaking of ps6, I'm sure there's gonna be a heavily modified RE engine developed for next gen. I'm sure both will be the premier engines again. Unless UE finds some way to work out all their bugs they had this gen. But that still doesn't mean anything, since it goes by what look the gamer likes.
TBH I think RED engine with Cyberpunk looks amazing. Too bad they jumped ship and decided to go with UE for witcher 4. I just hope they don't regret their choice. I'm fine with it for Witcher. I think UE5 has that look that might be great for a fantasy RPG like that. Lords of the fallen 1 and 2(which comes out in AUG) both use UE5 and look fantastic.
But when they move onto cyberpunk2, I hope somehow they modify RED engine for next gen and use that. CP2077 had this look about it and this charm to the characters and world that they achieved with RED engine. Take that away and I think the game will lose alot of its great qualities.
@Rich33 I played Hogwarts back when it came out. It was a great game, very fun. Unfortunately, as you know, that was way before the pro came out. I got a ps5pro day1. But I'm not really the type of player that would replay games that are bigger RPG's and have a huge hour investment. So your word on its performance is all I know of it.
One thing about Cyberpunk, besides it being one of my fave games lol. I did DL that pro patch and tried it out and its exactly what I expected. The RT pro mode, the one that runs at 40fps, is trash just like the old quality mode that had RT. 40fps is way too low for a game thats in a city and is very busy with visuals. The frame has a lot of judder when you pan the camera around.
Its esp egregious in Cyberpunk, because the city has a ton of neon lights, skyscrapers, etc from low to high. So it has a smearing effect as well. Games that run like this are nauseating and unplayable to me.
However, that basic RT mode that indeed has ray tracing and runs at 60fps, could be a tad bit smoother, but there's no judder and smearing. It works really well. So for a free patch, at least people can play the game with RT now and its smooth enough for a game of that nature.
I wish Sony would have beefed up ps5pro's CPU and I would have gladly paid the premium for it. Make it a boutique item because only the hardcore said they wanted to pay that price anyways. More CPU performance and we could have had the RTpro mode running at a smooth 60fps. And pretty much all heavy RT games would be running at 60fps as well.
I'm still choosing to play in performance mode with lesser visual quality, too many times with the ps5pro. I believe with pro, they beefed up the GPU, but used the exact same CPU from ps5, it just had a slightly higher clock speed, no?
Hopefully with ps6 we will finally, after all these years, get every single game running at a perfectly smooth 60fps with all the graphics features the developer wants to use. We better be done with 30 or 40fps BS next gen!!!!
I was never a huge AC fan, played a handful of them and liked them for the most part. But this one I never played for some reason, even though it was touted to be a great AC game. So I welcome this remake with open arms, since it will be a brand new game to me. Backlog keeps growing and growing and growing.
@Rich33 I'm not really into the MH series. But I think i remember seeing some videos here and there. So correct me if I'm wrong. It is indeed open world, but isn't it a little bit sparse with how much stuff is packed in? When I think of open worlds and whether or not an engine can handle it smoothly with RT, I automatically think of Cyberpunk, Witcher, Horizon, etc where there's a ton of enemies, NPC's, on screen at once. Esp Cyberpunk since it was in a city that alot of things were crammed into, as opposed to like a wilderness biome of the witcher or something.
@Rich33 The RT in this game (on pro at least) is fantastic. It was really good in RE:req too, but Pragmata's world has way, way more reflective surfaces around for it to shine. And its all very smooth with the frames at the same time. Has RE engine ever been used in a game that is open world and has a ton of NPC's and stuff going on at once? Just wondering if it could handle all that and still be smooth with RT at the same time.
Alot of people still have backlogs due to the GTA6 affect, so this is great for Pragmata. Many more will sell moving forward. I'm abso loving this game
Nobody in here!!!! None of you!!!!! Nobody here played this game!!!!! The game doesn't even exist!
I mean really though, it doesn't. The game Crimson Desert? It doesn't even exist. Its just a hologram on your TV's. You are not even playing it. We are all in a simulation and this game doesn't exist in it. You think you are playing it, but no, nobody here is playing it.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Black Flag's PS5 Remake Will Be Officially Revealed This Week
I was never a huge AC fan, played a handful of them and liked them for the most part. But this one I never played for some reason, even though it was touted to be a great AC game. So I welcome this remake with open arms, since it will be a brand new game to me. Backlog keeps growing and growing and growing.
Re: New Capcom IP Pragmata an Instant Success, Sells 1 Million Copies
Re: New Capcom IP Pragmata an Instant Success, Sells 1 Million Copies
@Rich33 The RT in this game (on pro at least) is fantastic. It was really good in RE:req too, but Pragmata's world has way, way more reflective surfaces around for it to shine. And its all very smooth with the frames at the same time. Has RE engine ever been used in a game that is open world and has a ton of NPC's and stuff going on at once? Just wondering if it could handle all that and still be smooth with RT at the same time.
Re: New Capcom IP Pragmata an Instant Success, Sells 1 Million Copies
Alot of people still have backlogs due to the GTA6 affect, so this is great for Pragmata. Many more will sell moving forward. I'm abso loving this game
