Re: Poll: Are You Playing Ghost of Yotei?

StitchJones

@Titntin I'm close to completing this game in full and I can't help myself. I felt the need to dig this article up and come back to the place where I left my initial impressions, after being about 8 or 9hrs in.

My attitude has changed. A complete 180. I was fairly critical of this game in the beginning, but now I think this thing is absolutely amazing and the execution of SPunch was unreal. Wow, just wow.

I'm just praying that they stick the landing and it ends epic. With a game this long, we tend to have ideas on how we want it to end, or how it should end. I'm just hoping it has an epic ending to top it off.

@RoomWithaMoose @ElectricWizard Moose, You are spewing more fanboyism. You have no idea what my gaming habits are, what I prefer to play on for 3rd party and you know nothing about me. Yet I don't agree with your take on the Xbox, so you are spewing assumptions about me to align with your opinion on the matter. Making assumptions to make yourself seem right with this is as fanboy as it gets. Have fun with that. See ya

Wizard, you are obv late to the party with all this and you are another fanboy taking his side, just judging our debate at face value. Obv if you agree with him after he is making assumptions, instead of having concrete evidence to suggest I'm just being anti xbox, then you can't be reasoned with either no matter what. you have fun with that as well. See ya

Re: Battlefield 6 Is a Smash Hit in First Sales Report, Selling Best on PS5

StitchJones

@AverageGamer I'm not being contradictory or argumentive I agree with what you said. However, its not up to the companies to offer a version of their PS/Xbox game. Its up to Nintendo to releases beefy enough hardware to run them. Switch 2 seems a bit better (cyberpunk), but there's so much more happening in a BF game, with its large scale warfare modes. Switch 2 could never handle all that happening on screen at once

Re: PS6 Release Date Touted for 2027, Cheaper But Less Powerful Than Next Xbox

StitchJones

@RoomWithaMoose I find it funny how you say "fanboyism" disgusts you, yet you straight up said that you didn't understand how anyone could say that their Xbox series X is nothing but a dust collector.

You sounded like a total fanboy because it is indeed possible that for someone other than yourself, the series X can be a dust collector. Just because it isn't for you, doesn't mean that erases the chance that someone else is getting no value with that console. What works for you, doesn't work for everyone else. Its not all about you. Bye

@Boxmonkey @Lowdefal @MrStark @Sakai @antlion This article is too "face value". Please go watch Digital Foundries takes on the Cerny/AMD presentation and you will see that ps6 will be a beast. It will be implementing new architectures that push us forward, not stuck w/ diminishing returns. DF seems to be very excited about the direction PS is taking and these new said systems in the hardware

Re: Animated Wallpapers for Two of 2025's Biggest Games Added to PS5

StitchJones

@WiccanMagick75 I kind of agree. I view Bloodborne like I did TLOU 1 before they did a sequel. It would be cool as hell if it was just a one off game. But I'm def not against more of it and would prefer they continue both IP's. It adds diversity to Sony's 1st party lineup too. Nice avatar by the way. I grew up a huge metal fan and still a metal head to this day. Slayer is far from my fave metal band, but I have all their CD's and love most of their tracks. How could you not own the whole Slayer discography if you are a metal fanatic, right? lol

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Battlefield 6?

@kuu_nousee I can't speak for your region, if that even matters, but yesterday I was in a que #233,000, but it moved very fast. Last night and today I've been dropped right in, no que at all. I think they just did that in the beginning so they could throttle the load on the servers if need be to make sure launch is smooth.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Battlefield 6?

StitchJones

@SuperSilverback I hear ya. Regardless of how we choose to handle our games, this is a good problem to have right? Having a killer game waiting for when the current ends. I'm prob going to Cronos after Yotei, then MGS if its patched by then. Then there's still HK silk, outerworlds 2 is due out soon. ARC raiders soon, Silent hill F yet to check out. Just naming a few. The back catalog is huge right now lol its so great

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Battlefield 6?

StitchJones

@SuperSilverback Multiplayer games and campaign single player ones are the only two types I can have going at the same time. I'm in the middle of Yotei too, but doesn't hurt to jump into a few online matches from time to time, then back to Yotei. I could never have two campaign games going at once, never. Esp if they were two open world RPG's that take investment in the mechanics.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Battlefield 6?

StitchJones

It takes zero skill to be good at any COD. Even more so now if you have the benefit of a 120hz display or you are doing cross play on your PC/mouse vs console players. BF makes you work for your kills and when you do good, its way more gratifying

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Battlefield 6?

StitchJones

I've played about 10 matches so far, all smaller scale warfare (domination and TDM) to get back into the battlefield swing. I was #233,000 in a full server, but the wait wasn't long, it went by fast. So far the game runs perfect for me. No glitching, disconnections, no lag.

As far as the game goes, I'm loving it so far. I've been salivating for a good Battlefield game to release for awhile now. I really think this is it. Hope this helps anyone on the fence.

My only complaint so far is that some maps are way too dark and you have to jack up brightness. But then you play on a diff one with a cooler color palate and the game looks washed out from the increase in brightness. Minor gripe, but stilll

Re: From a Presentation Perspective, Bye Sweet Carole Is Among PS5's Best

StitchJones

@Westernwolf4 lol that's so great. I couldn't stand the game, because you had to memorize the quick time hits since there was no prompts. But like you, my jaw would hit the floor from the visuals. Maybe I shouldn't speak for us all, but not in a million years back then did we think we would have home consoles such as PS, that would bring graphics that belittle DL, with RPG mechanics and whatever else tethered to them and have a thing called the internet where we can chat with friendly strangers about all things gaming.

I'm very proud to have been able to grow up in the Arcade era, play those cabinets and then see home consoles evolve to the point where i'm still gaming at 50yo.

Re: From a Presentation Perspective, Bye Sweet Carole Is Among PS5's Best

StitchJones

As soon as I watched I got instant Nostalgia. Anyone else here remember Dragon's Lair in the arcade? Looked just like this, a disney cartoon animated engine. Was in arcades in 1983, so it was very, very advanced at the time. People in arcades would watch in awe. To put into perspective, that was 2 yrs before the OG NES release in north america. So home graphics were still super inferior to any arcade cabinet

Re: Poll: What Are Your First Impressions of Ghost of Yotei on PS5?

StitchJones

@StarZinger Another thing that happened to me in Yotei, which is very common "STILL" in alot of games is, I was trying to take down a bear in the woods. It was going ballistic on me. This NPC walks up and wanted to talk during combat with the bear and it went to a cutscene. You can see the bear in the cutscene, but all of a sudden the bear mellows off like we weren't even there lmao. End cutscene and the bear is just gone all together. Like yeah a real bear is gonna let you have your conversion when its about to rip your face off, then get bored and just leave. hahaha

Games still have this Jank since forever, that is kind of minorly immersion breaking and you can't help but wonder, how do they let this even happen in a game to this day?

Re: Bungie's Maligned FPS Marathon Makes Its Return in Closed Technical Test This Month

StitchJones

WIth ARC raiders set to become a "thing" for a gamers PvPvE needs and Battlefield finally being back with a resurgence for the straight up multiplayer shooter space, who needs Marathon? Bad timing for bungie to try this, esp when peeps walked away from the beta thinking that it wasn't anything good.

The only other live service shooter I'd let back in eventually would be Remnant 3 whenever that hits. Remnant 2 craps all over Marathon, it aint even fair

Re: Poll: What Are Your First Impressions of Ghost of Yotei on PS5?

StitchJones

I find this funny in Yotei and its been a video game trope since the start of time. Not Yotei's fault. But I can't figure why dev's haven't looked at this and found a better way. But Atsu is in an area having fond memories with innocent people around and the devs put random supplies to loot inside their homes.

She is obv enamored to this homestead, yet in between dialog with them, she is robbing them freakin' blind. lmao

"Oh you remember my mom and dad and me as a kid do ya'. That's great??? Thanks for the memories!" (proceeds to ransack their home and steal their supplies, regardless of how they appear to be living in poverty) hahaha

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Ghost of Yotei?

StitchJones

@Titntin This gen has been the worst when it comes to broken games at launch but that's about it. The games and output have been great and there's still so many heavy hitters left. I mean GTA6 is gonna be massive and not even out yet.

On another note, Yotei has grown on me a bit more. The combat and exploration loop I loved about GoT are hooking me in. And the newer open ended exploring and finding missions and such is a nice touch adding to it all. But I still stand by what I said about not really liking Atsu and I still think a better game engine could have been used.

Its not calling to me to be played when I'm not gaming like my fave games did. But I am enjoying it a bit more. Enjoy your weekend man. Oh and by the way, is your username based on the character Tin Tin from "the crow"? just curious.
