Spiders Studio has confirmed its next big RPG, GreedFall 2: The Dying World, will leave early access (on PC at least) for a full and final release for PS5 on 12th March 2026. Accompanying the news is an overview trailer, watchable above.
While the original PS4 game proved pretty popular, the developer has moved away from its combat style for something resembling Dragon Age: Origins. It's set three years before the events of the first RPG and has you play as a native to the island of Teer Fradee.

A price for the PS5 version hasn't been shared, but GreedFall 2 has been available in early access for £34.99 / $39.99.
The release date means that the follow-up shall launch in close proximity to Crimson Desert, the Fatal Frame 2 Remake, and also Monster Hunter Stories 3. Will you make time for GreedFall 2? Let us know in the comments below.

Really, really enjoyed the first game, so this will be a day one purchase for me. Cannot wait...!
Hard skip for me due to it not being a AAAA game.
Spiders have gotten better game after game. Definitely on of my most anticipated for this year
Another RPG I've been anticipating, it'll be an instant buy for me. Busy year again it seems.
N.i.c.e.Greedfall is so good .and the technical skill is the best word up son
Very important warning to anyone who liked the first game: This game came on PC as early access 2 years ago and almost none of the bugs and issues have been fixed until now.
I would advise waiting for reviews and post launch gameplay videos to see if it's finally been improved.
Loved the 1st one, will be there day 1 for this
Loved the first. A AA gem, however the changes they made to the 2nd instead of evolving the gameplay mechanics of the first has me hesitant/cautiously optomistic.
The battle system seems to be bad considering the poor companion AI as well.
The early access steam reviews are definitely a cause for concern, considering even as recent as a week or so ago there are problems. 2 years in early access, it shouldn't be like what is described...
Quite enjoyed the first one.
But for me it’s certainly a wait for reviews game.
Absolutely loved the first game, and was super excited for this, but the EA really quashed my hopes.
It's a shame they didn't refine the gameplay of the original.
I really enjoyed Steelrising by Spiders, but CRPG with Dragon Age gameplay is absolutely not for me.
I forgot this was even happening lol. I enjoyed the first despite it's flaws.
The first game was a solid competent RPG and this sequel could have been a great sophomore effort. But wtf, why all of a sudden shift the combat system from action RPG in the 1st game, to turn based for the sequel? They trying to be like Baldurs gate 3?
I can't stand turned based games I'll admit and I'm not hating on them for no reason. We all have our own tastes. I'm calling this out cause of the sudden drastic change from game 1 to the sequel. Why fix what's not broken? Esp moving to a whole new combat system. I guess they didn't sell enough copies of the 1st game to feel like they were abandoning fans?
I'm expecting it will be a 6 or 7 out of 10. I enjoyed the first one, so will be picking this up as long as it's not a bug riddled mess.
The first game reminded me of Dragon’s Dogma, in the sense it’s a deeply odd game.
I enjoyed my time with it, but it had some baffling design choices.
I’m definitely intrigued by this, will wait for reviews. I wonder if they’ll drop the bizarre (and rather…distracting) accent they invented for the elves.
That is fairly surprising for me. I though that development might have really broken down, especially with the "strike situation" that was going on. Plus, we've never seen or heard anything about the game again for ages.
I really liked the first game, a pretty good RPG with some stiff and clunky elements but pretty good as a whole.
What is worrying me, is that the three and a half minute video is only cutscenes or (at most) five seconds of uninterupted gameplay - Lots of hard cuts. Often enough that is a rather bad sign, but we will see.
@RagnarLothbrok absolutely! They’re one dev I see and want to immediately check it out. But, I still need to finish the first Greedfall game.
Edit: and as an avid action/adventure gamer, I must say. This GEN has truly captivated me! I know so many find this generation to be a failure. But I absolutely love it! There’s a new action/adventure/action RPG at every turn!
