Re: Sounds Like PS4 Exclusive DriveClub's Getting New Music

ShoryukenKid

I still can't get the hang of this game's physics... And I have no problem with GT or Forza... Maybe it's because I try to play it like either of those games when I shouldn't ? I guess I haven't been putting enough time into it... Will welcome the new tunes as I try to learn how to not go off the road

Re: Mighty No. 9 Doesn't Look Much Better When Played Fast

ShoryukenKid

I am used "bland" looking games as long as I've been gaming, and this looks like it could be cool. Now if every stage and level play like this without variety I can see the gameplay be cool at first then gradually getting stale and repetitive... Also agree, solid controls are a must for this kind of game!

Re: PS4 Prints Money as System Shipments Surpass 25 Million Units

ShoryukenKid

Nintendo is not selling staggering amounts, but Nintendo has been making a profit as of late. I don't see them going third party any time soon. It's true they are stubborn but they still make some of the best games which are worth getting a second console for. Right now I'm in gamers bliss with my PS4 and Wii U I'm glad for both that they are making profits but the PS4 is just ridiculous right now! Hope they keep that momentum going for sure!

Re: Hold Up, Ken! Street Fighter V's PS4 Beta Should Be Working Again

ShoryukenKid

@Tasuki because in order to participate I had to pre-order a game. I put money down (in hopes) of actually getting my hands on one of my favorite franchises. Granted I was going to buy it regardless but I put cash down with the intent to play the beta. It's diffrent than the Splatoon beta (which are honestly the only 2 betas I ever participated in) because that was free for everyone so it wasn't as disappointing to me. I guess cheated is the wrong word , maybe disappointment is the proper word.

It's not a total lost as I am watching streamers on twitch and at least picking up some tech in the process . To your point though I realize I'm "part" of the beta regardless but it doesn't make it less disappointing that I can't actually get in to even the training room:(

Re: PlayStation Pays Its Respects to Nintendo's Satoru Iwata

ShoryukenKid

I never felt this distraught over someone not a family member... But in a way he's been part of my entire gaming life whether I was aware of it or not. Ballon Fight, Kirby, and Earthbound are games I loved before I ever knew or cared who made them and will always be a great memory. Playing Nintendo since I was young on the NES till this day on WiiU, I can say Iwata was an integral part in my passion for the Nintendo brand. I don't know how to explain this but I a genuinely sad and heart broken over this news.

Rest in peace Iwata san...

Re: Nintendo's Reggie Is Still Having a Pop at PlayStation

ShoryukenKid

Nintendo needs to stop with hardware gimmicks and focus on innovative gameplay like they did back in the golden days. They need hardware to push the visions they have for their games and not let the hardware dictate the type of games they make. They need a functional controller with options (Dual Shock 4 anyone?) not one where they think everything has to have gyro or touch controls. Nintendo keeps saying their focus is games but they keep bringing out funky gimmick hardware that limits the types of games that actually can come out for the system. Nintendos innovation needs to come in the games with hardware to run everything they desire to put on it while allowing third parties to port over everything they'd want without having to worry about tailoring to the consoles gimmick controls or what have you.

I love Nintendo and are always my first choice in games, but you can't deny the variety and amount that comes with Playstation which is why I have to own both. I will probably always be a 2 console guy at least (Nintendo + Sony) as Sony has amazing IPs as well but it would be nice if for once third party support was equal on all consoles. Could you imagine a KingdomHearts X Nintendo type game where Sora and Micky meet Mario and team up throughout the game ? Waaaaaaaaay wishful thinking !

On topic though, Reggie needs to worry about actually giving fans what they want instead of assuming he knows what fans actually want....

Re: E3 2015: Nintendo Doesn't Have High Hopes for Project Morpheus

ShoryukenKid

I love Nintendo both for nostalgic reasons and they really have some of the best games this gen on Wii U, but the Regginator really has no room to trash talk about anything right now because at least Sony is actually doing, showing quality software and ideas (though I myself am not sold on VR yet) Nintendo didn't have anything for E3 and probably didn't even have to be there Every Nintendo direct this year had more hype than their E3 showing. I was so hoping Star Fox would blow me away but from I seen so far it looks....... wonky. (Is that a word? -.-)

Re: Review: Ultra Street Fighter IV (PlayStation 4)

ShoryukenKid

Still trust Capcom, still have faith in Sony, but anything handled by Other Ocean from now on is going to be "wait and see" for sure ... I was looking forward to this so I could finally retire my 4th Xbox 360 for the same reasons I had to retire my first 3 (red rings) Sad this has happened to my favorite fighter

Re: Potential Outrage Brewing as Ultra Street Fighter 4 Launches in Crap Condition on PS4

ShoryukenKid

@Gamer83 to be fair, SFV is being built for PS4 (unless I misunderstood something along the way) so it should at least be optimized for it rather than a port over so I still have hope for SFV. On the other hand if Sony / Capcom don't fix this issue with Ultra soon , people will continue to have a negative vibe toward SFV or the whole Sony / Capcom partnership unfortunatly . The CEO2015 tournament will have a playable build of SFV for participants to try so we can see how it's coming along. I must say though as a huge Street Fighter fan who was looking forward to this PS4 version, I am highly disappointed

Re: Japanese Game Sales Hit a Whole New Low Last Week

ShoryukenKid

There's a certain addiction with games where collecting a stronger card is the goal. Heck I like me some Puzzle and Dragons, but I've never put down any cash for stones.(though I've been tempted) but when all is said and done mobile gaming is just a filler for me till I get the real show going on the big screen with consoles. In my opinion mobile gaming doesn't hold a fraction of the satisfaction I get from console gaming on the big screen with full control on a gamepad. It doesn't mean they can't co-exist, but it does sadden me that mobile games are stealing so much thunder from console games in Japan. I wonder if it's more a choice or a compromise? People working so much or being so busy that all they have time for is mobile games on the go... I guess there's simplicity in pushing an icon to get your game rather than fumbling around with carts or discs.

Re: Phwoar! Project CARS Looks Stunning on PS4

ShoryukenKid

I really want this game but I might hold off until SRTs, Corvettes, GTRs are on board among other cars. I like racing in the GT and GrandAm classes but a lot of my favorite cars are not on here I'll wait to see how the DLC pans out I guess ... Game looks phenomenal though !

Re: Sucker Punch Wants Its Next PS4 Exclusive to Drop Jaws

ShoryukenKid

Like this series a lot ! I too hope Cole comes back some how but keep Delsin and Fetch . And while a pretty game is always nice, I hope they make a memorable experience in gameplay and story with more replayability . I want to revisit Seattle more in Second Son but there's just nothing to do now

Edit: Another thing I'd like is that decision making to determine your "good" or "bad" story lines weren't so straight forward. Replayability could come from the story branching out from each decision as opposed to just having a good or evil story line .

Re: Sucker Punch's Next PS4 Project Will Pack a Punch

ShoryukenKid

Can't wait for the next full infamouse game! Was also my first PS4 game ! I couldn't find a PS4 till about a week before Second Son released so you can imagine my distress having Second Son pre-ordered with no PS4 All worked out in the end thankfully !

Re: Sony Still Schtum on March's PlayStation Plus Update

ShoryukenKid

The weird thing is they would have to know by now correct ? Or is it possible that some deal turned sour and now they are scrambling to find a replacement game or something ? Not sure how these things go down, it's just odd that on the day before , there's still nothing.... Unless of coarse we get the "...delayed another week" treatment

Re: Review: Resogun: Defenders (PlayStation 4)

ShoryukenKid

Thanks . I ended up getting it last night I had the PSPLUS version but I noticed when I Went to download the packs after buying the season pass, I was able to upgrade the plus "trial" version to the full version for free ! Was this due to buying the season pass?

Re: Talking Point: How Important Is Game Length?

ShoryukenKid

My buddy must be contributing to those unfinished game stats lol. He pretty much buys everything worth buying , plays it a week and never touches it again lol. His PS3/PS4 trophy lists are full of bronze trophys , about 8 silver and 0 gold at this point I call him a game "collector" not a gamer . On topic I felt a little burned by Second Sons length... Though the paper trail and the PSPlus release of First Light made up for it A games length is not so important as long as there is replay value or more game modes . I buy good fighting games and stuff like Resogun in a heart beat. But am more reluctant with games that are simply over or have no replay value after you are done. Stuff like GTA5 are great because not only is it a good story, there are hours of side quests and such to make GTA feel like an immense value. While I enjoyed Second Son.. As I said before , pretty much once you're done you're done... To me not worth full price.
