Tekken 7 Gets a Brand New Character, Could Be One of the Strangest Yet

We're not quite sure what to make of Gigas, Tekken 7's newly announced combatant. The franchise is no stranger to weird and wonderful characters, of course, with its playable roster including the likes of Roger the boxing kangaroo, Kuma the fighting bear, and Yoshimitsu the seemingly eternal warrior - just to name a few - but Gigas isn't quite like any of them.

This hulking brawler has ridiculously sized arms, doesn't seem to talk, and loves nothing more than to swing his aforementioned limbs around like wrecking balls. In the clip that we've embedded, we dare say that he almost looks a bit like Bane of Batman fame, but knowing Namco, he'll likely have a slew of diverse costumes to pick from.

Tekken characters are good because of design and back story, even tho some off the odd characters are quirky, they are a fun change from the normal more serious ones, im just not seeing the fun or quirkyness of gigas or the normal seriousness hes almost a merge of both and im not sure if its in a goodway.

As a gamer who remembers buying a SNES from WH Smiths with Street Fighter 2 Turbo cartridge sold seperately for £70 in 1990 - yup, T'is true - Tekken Tag Tournament was and still is my favourite ever fighting game. With fellow deceptions marvelling at the 10-hit combos and the swagger of Jin, Hwoarang & Paul, Galvatron ruled those tournaments and eagerly awaits Tekken 7 on PS4.

Should it be Remote Play compatible online, that would be even better

Love Tekken but was prepared not to like this character... Must admit he looks cool

Certainly doesn't look like a typical Tekken fighter. Not sure if I'm interested in going back to this franchise again. It's been on a pretty steady decline after part 3.
