I've been an absolutely huge Ratchet & Clank fan since the original ps2 game, but sadly Rift Apart left me underwhelmed.
Visually stunning, but the narrative I personally felt was very weak and generic compared to previous entries. I miss the corporate spoofs and tongue in cheek humour of the ps2 games... Also was expecting the Rift mechanic to be utilised way more and similarly to one of the world's in Crack in Time on ps3 where you constantly go back and forth in time to change the outcome of the present world.
For me game of the year goes to Psychonauts 2... Enjoyed every minute of it to 100% completion.
Remember Take Two said that the success of this would determine if they make a Red Dead Redemption remaster.... Anyone want to see that get butchered too? Have John Marston look like a Mii character?
My question now is, are Rockstar looking at these plethora of issues, angry that their reputation is being tarnished by Grove Street Games and potentially will get their own in house devs to assist in massive patches? Or just ignore it because this'll likely still sell major numbers and GTAO is raking in a ton of cash for them on a daily basis.

Ooooh curious! I thought it already looked and ran great on my PS5 via BC on both my 4K OLED and 4K Projector. I just need to collect the odd figment and Psi marker here and there to 100% it, so might jump back in now the QOL features have been added in too!

Thank you PushSquare team for pointing out the recent £25 for the year sub. Previously had PS Now near the start of its launch on PS4 when it was waaaay more expensive so cancelled after around 3 months.
Jumped back on it now and it's definitely improved! Already jumped into a few PS3 games like Killzone and Infamous 2 with zero streaming issues. Was a tad gutted though to have subbed 3 days before RDR2 left the service. But hey ho! £25 for the year feels a steal and sure gonna have alot of fun trying out a bunch of games.
Really loved Until Dawn, but still on the fence with this anthology! Been eyeing up the triple pack. Should I give it a try? Also assuming House of Ashes is the only one that has PS5 benefits? Little Hope and Man of Medan didn't get any free upgrade patches?

Sony definitely seem to be doing side deals with Apple at the moment. Recently bought a Sony OLED and despite it being a Google Android OS, it had Apple TV exclusively for Sony. Then TV+ offering 6 months free for PS5 user (great fun watching Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest, CODA btw) Now this!
Moreso for Disney to fix rather than Sony, but still waiting for the Disney+ app to finally stream in 4K/HDR. They've finally added the label of 4K under their titles, but they still only stream in HD/SDR. (first world problems at its finest xD)

Been playing the last 2hrs on PS5. Thankfully no bugs like that during my playthrough so far. Good fun so far and visually/audibly stunning. The only strange thing for me was for the first 5mins I felt a bit motion sick when moving the camera. There seemed to be a slight disconnect. I'm not someone who is prone to motion sickness at all, perfectly fine playing other 60fps games, so this struck me as super weird.
That launch trailer was awesome and I really hope it ends up being a great game. I think I might be patient though and wait for the physical edition. Got Eastward and a lot of other backlog titles to play right now, so that might help pass the time till November.
The Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy announcement wasn't even really from Naughty Dog as Iron Galaxy are handling the "Remaster". Honestly not fussed with Factions and would like them to go in a completely different direction with a new, cheerful IP (honestly TLOU2 was depressive and even UC4 became super serious).
Would have been nice to have seen a reminder for Kena releasing soon. Could have cut the deathloop trailer by half and slotted her in.

Don't have 120fps compatible TV, but cool update for those who do! Since they added the 60FPS at 4K update and with HDR, has anyone else had weird moments driving around where the screen goes dark grey briefly? I thought it was the effects so turned them off and still it happens and in different stadiums. A friend noticed it too whilst playing split screen. Maybe dodgy HDR functionality in game?
Oooh tempting to make a few purchases! Even though part of the reason why I bought a PS5 was to see the improvement in quality from my base PS4. I have barely touched my VR headset since getting the console!
I can't cope with horror games in VR, so naturally I will be purchasing and never playing it after the first 5mins like I did with RE: 7, Paranormal Activity and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
Not sure if more Disney's issue rather than Sony, but I'd like a fix for the audio sync with Disney+ on the PS5! Linear PCM through my surround sound is in sync, but just multi stereo on Disney+... Change the PS5 sound settings to "Dolby" (as most content on D+ is Dolby) and you get surround BUT the sync is ridiculously off! Ended up switching to my PS4 to watch Black Widow as there's no issue on that console.
None of the other streaming apps (Netflix, AppleTV+, NowTV, Prime) seem to have this problem.
Oh and if Sony are able to do a firmware update of the Bluray drive to make 3D blurays compatible, that'd be nice (Yes i know it's a dead medium! But for those who do have them and to watch in PSVR it would be a nice gesture)

First they ask you to download the app on PS5.... Went to download it yesterday and it says the app isn't compatible with the PS5 console. A few hrs later it downloaded and I logged in.... But it only said the free period was 7 days. Waited till this morning... Now it says 6 months.... but my card info had expired as I haven't used Apple in a decade... You cant just update card info on the app, you have to use an Apple device or go on the web. Went on the website, it asked security questions which I forgot (as it's been a decade) so had to redo a bunch of checks. Finally got in and changed card details, went back to the PS5 app, went through all the processes to get the free 6 months.... and the final card says "Error! Please Try Again". :/
Still getting this at launch! The original Psychonauts holds a dear place in my heart and super looking forward to the sequel. Shame for me is not the "hampered" performance but the lack of physical copies. Apparently only Fig backers get the option.
Am I right in thinking that Nixxes did the Xbox 360 port of Rise of the Tomb Raider? That was solid down port!
If the case that they did, my thought process is because a bunch of PS5 "exclusives" are now also coming to PS4 (God of War 2, Gran Turismo 7 etc) due to lack of PS5 consoles, Nixxes is going to help port these PS5 games to PS4 so they run just as good.
Could be entirely wrong though and the whole PC thing be the correct reasoning.
7/10 for me! I enjoyed it: graphics were stellar, gameplay tight for the most part. Really liked the use of the adaptive triggers for the weapons BUT felt it was too short. I 100%ed it within 10hrs. Felt like I was just getting started and then it ended. Plus, being a totally biased original ps2 Ratchet fan I just felt the story as a whole was lacking with not much character development. I know the franchise has gone in a different direction tonally since the ps3 games to more of a heroes tale rather than satire of commercialism, but the latter is what made R&C so unique to me! If there were a few more twists and turns with Nefarious and more time spent fighting alongside the resistance members that you only really see once (really wanted to hang more with alternate Skidd McMarxs and Quantum), I probably would have liked it a bit more.

Finally got in and changed card details, went back to the PS5 app, went through all the processes to get the free 6 months.... and the final card says "Error! Please Try Again". :/

Finally downloaded the app and logged in, but there's only a 7 day free trial rather than 6 months! (this is UK app)

Still getting this at launch! The original Psychonauts holds a dear place in my heart and super looking forward to the sequel.
Shame for me is not the "hampered" performance but the lack of physical copies.
Apparently only Fig backers get the option.

Am I right in thinking that Nixxes did the Xbox 360 port of Rise of the Tomb Raider?
That was solid down port!
If the case that they did, my thought process is because a bunch of PS5 "exclusives" are now also coming to PS4 (God of War 2, Gran Turismo 7 etc) due to lack of PS5 consoles, Nixxes is going to help port these PS5 games to PS4 so they run just as good.
Could be entirely wrong though and the whole PC thing be the correct reasoning.

7/10 for me!
I enjoyed it: graphics were stellar, gameplay tight for the most part. Really liked the use of the adaptive triggers for the weapons BUT felt it was too short. I 100%ed it within 10hrs. Felt like I was just getting started and then it ended.
Plus, being a totally biased original ps2 Ratchet fan I just felt the story as a whole was lacking with not much character development.
I know the franchise has gone in a different direction tonally since the ps3 games to more of a heroes tale rather than satire of commercialism, but the latter is what made R&C so unique to me!
If there were a few more twists and turns with Nefarious and more time spent fighting alongside the resistance members that you only really see once (really wanted to hang more with alternate Skidd McMarxs and Quantum), I probably would have liked it a bit more.
