@GamingGod The biggest spikes in the player base for D2 was Lightfall ~ 316K players and The Final Shape ~ 314K players but I like said I just cannot see Marathon getting those numbers.

@Vovander Yeah it maybe a little optimistic, but I think thanks to Arc Raiders who has opened people's eyes to the extraction shooter genre, and of course Bungie's name still carries weight.

@GamingGod I think Marathon will do fine. not Arc Raiders levels but will flatten out to maybe 50 - 60K players on average.

honestly this is a terrible pick, the man's only good role was Khal Drogo in GoT...

Apparently people in China have been playing a closed beta and are resonating with Marathon quite a bit, so it may have a good following over there once it's released.

Well I think i'm going to pick this up as something to play until RE9 comes out and at £35 that's a fair price for 6 - 8 hours. Persoanlly wouldn't have "trail and error" as a negative as that's kind of the whole schtick with these games.

Look it's been well established that this is one of the greatest come backs in gaming, but when are we going to learn more about Light No Fire?

I truly hope this game will be good, we sorely need more horror games from new/old IPs. Also want to see more on ill but at the moment that game is screaming red flag.

@TDHorizon I understand it from a surprise/hype point of view, but also think it's to stop people from reviewing and pointing out issues with the game, a prime example of this is the Oblivion remaster.

@DadJKP Honestly Konami would get so much money/good will from players if they did that, plus the further we get away from the awful HD collection the better.

Damn only a 6, and from looking around 7/10 is the general average, that's a crying shame. this will therefore be on the infamous "wait for sale" pile. Will end by saying I still do really like the art style and sheer wackyness of the game.

We all know, no matter what is shown we will see in the comments people moaning and were expecting GOW4 and Uncharted and Killzone. I for one always appreciate the SoP for what they are.

@Rich33 Rebirth was my GOTY that year, I truly think it's one of the best RPGs ever made and that's coming from someone who has FF7 og as their top game of all time. I have faith in SE to deliver with part 3 as much as I faith in Capcom with RE9, and remember Capcom are also hit and miss with performance (Dragon's Dogma), the Pro version of Rebirth is simply stunning imo.

I still think alot of people are waiting for part 3 to come out then they will just buy the bundle. Still a very nice gesture can't argue with it.

@HotGoomba But that's the thing, all they need is one online game to pop off and they will make bank, your example of Helldivers 2 proves that, Yes it wasn't done by a first party studio, but Sony won't mind as they own the IP and thus reap the rewards.

I'm happy to wait but after that can they move onto a brand new IP,. Don't get me wrong I like the Horizon franchise, but there's only so much you do with it. I have same energy with Sucker Punch and the Ghost series.

As someone who had to suffer through Rebirth's VR fights (trust me they are really unfun) I won't judge anyone if they choose to use these "cheats" to complete them
